OHL Hockey Season
We are will be starting the year this way:
Tuesday nights
(9:15) will be a future Middle Group.
This would for the most part
be the same format as the other groups. As soon as we have enough players sign
up, we will form a Middle Group. Since there wouldn’t be another game this night,
subs would need to be arranged for ahead of time. It will take a little more
responsibility on the part of the Middle Group players to make sure we have
enough people each week. Some Wednesday night players should be able to fill
in.
Wednesday nights
(7:45 & 9:30) will be just like last year.
North Group and South Group
will trade off between early and late games each week. We will start with plenty of people assigned
to each group until we get enough people signed up. If and when we go to
Tuesdays, we will be moving people out of each group into the Middle
Group. Arrangements can be made for
people that can only play one night or the other. When we go to Tuesdays, it will be imperative that people find
subs when they can’t make a game. South
Group will need to improve their late game attendance.
Todd and Catfish have both
agreed to play goalie one of the nights, so we should be starting with at least
6 goalies. Jeremy’s has a new job, and should be much more available for games.
Again, if we go to Tuesdays,
we will need to buy 2 more sets of jerseys. When the Middle Group is formed,
there will have to be some jersey swapping done. We will continue the deposit
policy, as it seems to be working.
We will also be continuing
with our one Friday night a month (not in November). I’ve been talking to Springfield, MO, about them coming down, and
they assure me they will show up. They
also made mention of inviting us up there again. More news to follow.
At this point, we will keep
the same fees of $225 plus jersey deposit. There will be no additional fee for
subbing for members.
