The Paso Fino is a distinctive breed which possesses a classic beauty and style. It carries itself gracefully and has a beautiful flowing mane and tail. They are a horse of all seasons and climates, and can be found from southern Florida to Alaska. They demonstrate their remarkable versatility, not only in the show ring, but also at barrel racing, trail riding, working on the ranch, dressage and eventing.

Paso Fino translates as "fine walk." This breed has a natural four-beat gait which makes an incredibly smooth ride.
With training, the gait is performed at three speeds: The classic fino, which is collected with rapid, short steps, The Paso Corto, which is relaxed and ground covering, and The Paso Largo, the fastest gait with the most extended strides.
This breed averages from 13 to 15.2 hh, and comes in a wide range of colors. They have a handsome head, arching neck and compact, muscular body and a spirited attitude. They are found nationwide but are especially popular in California and on the East Coast.
