"Miss Lucy Ferguson of Tahlequah, I.T., was called to the bedside of her dying father, Squire Williams, who died Aug. 2. He was 80 years old. Brother Williams lived a devoted Christian and was highly respected by all who knew him. His remains were laid in a family grave yard at home."--Rock House news, Aug. 12, 1905

"Died. Cathrine Lunday, aged 82 years, 4 months and 13 days, died at the home of her son-in-law George Moore. , three and a half miles south of Berryville on Wednesday. She had been sick in bead since the 1st of March. Deceased had resided in this county since 1858. She had been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years. The remains were buried on Tuesday at the Farmer Cemetery. John Lunday, Henry Lunday and Mrs. G. W. Moore are her only living surviving children."--September 16, 1905.
Obituary. On that beautiful day, Friday, Sept., 16, 1905 ...the sad intelligence was telephoned at 10 o'clock p.m. from house to house that Samuel Taylor was dead. He had passed a busy and happy day in the store in which he belonged returning home apparently in good health going about his usual work until he retired for the night when heart failure caused his death...
"An appropriate and impressive service was held at the Christian Church Saturday at 2 p.m. conducted by Bro. Smelser assisted by Bros. Spurlin and Little, after which the I.O.O.F. took charge of the remains, which was shipped to Smith Center, Kansas, for interment. Bro Taylor was born in Knox Co., Mo., April 24, 1842; united with the Church of Christ at the age of 22, was united in marriage to Miss Lena Marion on Jan 1.st 1897. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife and little daughter, Dessie and one brother. During the short year that Bro. Taylor and estimable wife lived in Berryville, they have won the love and confidence of the entire community..." Sept. 23, 1905.
"Our town was shocked on last Saturday morning to learn of the sudden death the previous night of Samuel Taylor, member of the Atkinson and Taylor furniture firm..." Sept. 23, 1905
"Mrs. Martha Whiteley, aged 54 years, wife of J. P. Whiteley, died at their home in Dry Fork township on the 11th inst., of cancer of the stomach after a long illness. Mrs. Whitely was a kind, Christian Woman, and had been a member of the Baptist church for 40 years. She leaves many children and other relatives, besides the husband, to morn her loss."...Sept. 23, 1905.
"Edward Kendall Dead. Edward Kendall died at the home of his son-in-law, George Jackson, near Rule last week. Mr. Kendall was an old time, well respected citizen of the county. --October 28, 1905, Green Forest Tribune.
"Mr. Kendall formerly owned the O. Ownes farm near the railroad bridge on Kings River, where he resided for many years. He was the father of Robert Kendall of Eureka Springs."--October 28, 1905
"Mrs. A. J. Meek has received word of the late death of Mrs. Claude Ward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. DeShong of Tyler, Tex. Mr. DeShong was married to Miss Mollie Karnes of Berryville before the civil war and they are remembered by many of our old citizens."--November 4, 1905
"Eli Freeman, an old citizen of Polo township, died on Thursday very suddenly. He was hauling rock and failing to arrive at home when expected, his folks went to look for him and found him speechless and in a dying condition. It is supposed in lifting he had broken a blood vessel, causing his death. Mr. Freeman was a Mason and a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral services were conducted on yesterday by Rev. R. W. Goudelock."--Nov. 4, 1905
"Solomon Batten of Yocum, age 74 years, was in Green Forest Tuesday on his way to Medford, Minn., to visit his father. Mr. Batten has been a citizen of Arkansas for nearly fourteen years, having moved here from Nebraska in 1892. His father is 96 years old."--Nov. 18, 1905

"Uncle Hamp Fancher, father of Judge T.H. Fancher, has been in feeble health for some time. Las week he was reported to be in critical condition, but we are glad to announce that he is better at present."--Nov. 18, 1905
"Last Friday ended the life of Grandma Ross. She was very old and has been sick for several weeks. She was a good, honest and kind woman. We all join old Grandpa Ross in his sad bereavement."--Polo news, Nov. 25, 1905.
"Grandma Ross, mother of W. H. Ross of Polo, died on Friday of last week. The remains were buried at the Bunch graveyard on Saturday. Mrs. Ross was very old and had been an invalid for some time."--Nov. 25, 1905
"Allen Bishop, 60 years of age, was found dead at his house in Eureka Springs on Friday of last week. He had been drinking heavily. On the same day Samual Wilson, age 50 was found dead in his room in the same city."--Dec. 16, 1905
