The writing of this book came about by way of inspiration. I did not set out to write a book or have one in mind when I wrote this one. At the time of this writing, I had hardly turned on my computer, much less tried to write. I had been on a "lay off" of sort when it came to writing or doing anything of that nature. In 1999, I wrote some papers that would comprise the height of my spiritual understanding in the things of Christ. Beginning in the year 2000, I have been in a place of inner contemplation and receptivity. My consciousness has been kicked up a notch and I have just been trying to understand and live in what the Spirit has been revealing to me. I had absolutely no intentions of writing a book or doing any teaching along these lines. I was very much content to let this WORD keep working in me. In fact, I thought it might be much longer before I started to write again.
On July 11, 2001, I sat down at my computer with a small thought in mind. With that thought I wrote the poem "I Want". Out of that brief inspiration of Spirit, in which you can see my heart's cry, I began to write. The next day I sat down at my computer just to see what would flow out of me and I wrote what would be the FOREWORD to the book. I had shared a message on "Christ is all" at church in March of 2000, and this thought has been with me ever since; so began the writing of this book Christ Is All. The unction to write to that theme griped me at this point, and what follows is what came out of that gripping.
To some this book may appear to contradict a few things I have previously written. I do not see it that way; it is rather a further unfoldment of what I have been seeing of Spiritual Truth. Spiritual Truth is an ascending into greater understanding and revelation until we arrive at the Perfect Man. To change one's thoughts as revelation comes is a necessity to growing up into Him in all things. There is no absolute way of thinking that will bring you into the wisdom of the Mind of Christ; we all come up different ways. The goal is set before us, and we must be faithful to follow the Path that is set before us. We must be teachable, we must listen--listen for the Voice. My way may not be your way of ascension, but let us agree to ascend by whatever way we are called. I am not leaving any of the things I have learned of Christ, but rather, I am building upon them.
All I am really doing in writing this document is putting in print this stage of my spiritual consciousness on my way to the fullness of the Christ. I do not think I have all the answers, but I know the one who does. In some small way I hope this book will be a help to you and not a matter of controversy. You must hear the Spirit of what is being said and not so much the letter. I remain very much a teachable student of the WORD, but in the long run the final authority must come from within. Who I am and the Creative Power of the universe are One Spirit, and in that ONEness of Spirit is where Truth will be revealed. It is the anointing that teaches you from within, and we must yield to this anointing that we may abide in Him.
"As for you, you have an anointing from the holy One and have perfect knowledge. I have written to you, not because you are ignorant of the truth, but because you know it, and you know that nothing false comes from the truth. Who is a liar compared with him who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He who disowns the Father and the Son is the anti-Christ. No one who disowns the Son has the Father. He who acknowledges the Son has also the Father. As for you, let the teaching which you have received from the very beginning continue in your hearts. If that teaching does continue in your hearts, you also will continue to be in union with the Son and with the Father. And this is the promise which He Himself has given us--the Life of the Ages. I have thus written to you concerning those who are leading you astray. And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him remains within you, and there is no need for any one to teach you. But since His anointing gives you instruction in all things--and is true and is no falsehood--you are continuing in union with Him even as it has taught you to do. And now, dear children, continue in union with Him; so that, if He re-appears, we may have perfect confidence, and may not shrink away in shame from His presence at His Coming." 1 John 2:20-28, Wey.

Closing Thoughts
This will be the first writing I have done in nineteen months. We have now moved into our new house, and it has become our home. I feel really blessed to have this new home to live in (thanks Mom) and I think everyone feels the same way too. I know that Judy loves the home and I am happy for her...she deserves it. I know the kids like it as well, Janelle has told me so, and you can tell Richard and Joshua do. I look forward to the unfolding of years that are ahead of us. I know that it has got to be good, for God "is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him," and that is exactly what I am. I am a man who is seeking God. Always! I am using my life to seek after God and to know Him in the Fullness of Himself. My greatest desire is to know CHRIST and the power of His resurrection. To know what it really means to be in Christ. As I see it, to be in the fullness of Christ is to live in the reality of the New Creation. This ambition has become my lifelong quest.
To come into the full knowledge of the New Creation is God realization. This is the creation that was declared from the beginning, a relationship of ONEness. Oneness is what we see declared in the beginning and manifested at the end.
My life is spent in search of this Reality as my everyday experience. My spiritual life changed in the beginning of the year 2000. It was then that a new desire to ascend into a higher understanding, a higher consciousness, of what it is that is finished, and how that changes my life.
The message of Christ Jesus is an eternal message. There will be no end to the reality of Jesus' death and resurrection. I will always be a student of the death and resurrection of Christ, for it is the removing of the OLD so that the NEW may be established. To study the death of Christ Jesus is to find out that the "self" you believed yourself to be in this world is dead. It is an illusion that you have a selfhood apart from God. The death of Christ Jesus is the key that unlocks the Truth of who you believe your "self" to be.
The "self" that you believe yourself to be has everything to do with your expression of Christ. As long as we believe ourselves to be ordinary human beings under the curse of sin-consciousness, that is what we will manifest. If we can see that we are Spirit-beings having a human experience, then a change will began to occur within our consciousness; and when that change takes place within us--in consciousness--then manifestation will take place in our human experience.
This is the shift that has taken place within my consciousness. I can see that it is no longer my personal "self" that God is trusting in to be who I am, it is Christ my real Self. If God no longer looks to my personal selfhood to please Him why should I? I have died and it is no longer me, my life is hid in Christ in God. I must now look to the Christ within me as my true identity, and that Identity is the one God accepts. The message of the finished work of Christ is the genesis of understanding, it is the entrance into finding out who it is we really are--who it is that God made us to be.
To find yourself in the finished work of Christ is the foundation of awareness. It is the portal into finding out who it is that we really are--spiritual beings birthed of God. The finished work of Christ Jesus is the cornerstone, the Rock of our salvation: It is the Sure foundation, the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets. This Message is where I will build my revelation of Christ upon where the gates of hell cannot prevail.
With this planting of the death of Christ being the death of my selfhood apart from God I am driven on to know who and what is my True Identity, now that God in Christ has finished the work He declared in the beginning. God's plan has always been man in His image, and through the work of Christ Jesus He has finished that purpose. The only thing left to do is for us to wake up to our true identity through our relationship with Christ. "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." -Eph. 5:14.
We must wake up and see that all that Christ is we are in Him, and there is to be such a manifestation of this Truth that creation is delivered from the bondage of this present corruption. To some degree we who are searching for the fullness of Christ should be setting creation free from the lie of Adamic sin-consciousness. Setting creation free can be anything from helping someone in need to doing the works of Jesus Christ, and even more, as He said we would do. But we will never do the greater works, or even lesser works, until we have higher degree of Christ-consciousness. We have to know who it is we are as FACT, not fiction. For we will never demonstrate more than what we have attained.
God is not looking for a single man to work through in this new day of unfoldment. He is waiting for us, as the body of Christ, to ascend into the full knowledge of who it is we really are. This is not a lazy man's work, for it takes everything you have and more..."for few there be that find it." We can ascend into the full knowledge of the Truth. Some MUST enter into His Rest that has been finished from the foundation of the world. We shall if we follow on to know the Lord within the midst of us. "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" Matthew 25:34, NKJV.
Who you and I are in the flesh I am not to know any longer. Then who is it I am to know? I am to know the New Man in you and in me. That is who I am! That is who you are! This physical manifestation according to the flesh is not who I am. I am spirit, and soul, and body, but most people know me by a false representation of self. People in general only see my body and its actions of good and evil, but those who have come to know the Real me know me, to some degree, by my inner Self.
Most of the self that the world sees is NOT the Real me. I have an inward man, an inward Self; and it is not me, personal self, but it is Christ the Real Self. I live my life in the faith that the Son of God is my true Self; for I died and it is no longer I who live. My true identity exists in Christ in God, and anything less than that is not who I am. If the flesh man is not who I am then it is a lie, and therefore an untruth, an unreality. Truth is Spirit, comes forth from Spirit, is maintained in Spirit. Therefore, the only Truth about me is Spirit; but Spirit is expressed through Soul, and manifested in Body as form.
The Truth of Spirit is to be expressed through Soul and seen as Body: The invisible Truth of Spirit becomes visible through the Soul manifested as Body. Christ is all and in all, and what is true in heaven must be true in earth..."as in heaven, so in earth." But, thus far, we have been seeing through a glass darkly.
The salvation of the soul is the process whereby we go through the renewing of the mind into the full understanding of the Mystery of Redemption in Christ. In the realm of heaven, the Higher Dimension, the truth of Spirit exists as Reality; but in our experience as men of the earth, we experience the untruth of the lie of darkness. This lie, the spirit of error, is ignorance of the Light of Truth; and this lie separates us from our manifestation of Reality. To whatever degree we believe the lie to that degree are we suffering spiritual antagonism. As we ascend in the Light of the Lamb, in the true light of Christ, we will be changed into That image. This image is the express image of Him who created us.
The end of our search is God ALL IN ALL, and it is the fullness of Christ-consciousness that brings this Glorious Truth into our experience. So, I am forever endeavoring to understand, to assimilate, seeking revelation unto this end; meditating unto realization, what and who, you and I, really are as a New Creation Being. This is what I am about: finding the Truth of our existence.
It is only by the Spirit of Truth, the Illumination from God, that we can see the New Creation. But it is this New Creation that exists as Reality that we are to grow up into. When we grow up into the Perfect Man, the New Creation Man, we will have put off this mortal concept and put on our immortality. This can happen in this present life we are now living. It is true in the Spirit and realization of this is to be expressed through Soul, and manifestation will take place in Body.
For the end of my first writing in this new beginning I am entering into I will say, Christ Is All! And, I am on a Quest to find out the Reality of this most Powerful Truth; for I am driven in my most inward Self to find out what is true of me in Spirit and Soul and Body. To whatever degree the Grace of God can bring me into a conscious awareness of Truth, to this degree will I manifest the Christ. Christ-consciousness profits not only in this life, but in that which is to come.
Father, teach us to pray Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven so in earth. Father, I pray that Thy realm of Consciousness within me is manifest, that That which is Thine come forth into expression.
Father, I do not know what I have need of, I only know what the outward experience is telling me. But You know all things and You know what I need. So, I forget my personal self and seek only Thy grace to be made manifest in my life, Thy purpose, Thy will. All that Thou has is mine, and I seek only that which is for Thy glory to be made manifest in my life. For I have died and my life is now hid with Christ in God. It is no longer I who am living, it is the Christ within me. I do not know anything as I ought to know...Thou knowest. Reveal Thyself as my Self that I may live in Thy sight.
I was physically born in 1960, but I was spiritually born--when
I began my spiritual journey--into Christ almost 30 years ago;
but I entered a new phase of that journey in January of 2000.
When I began the Quest that was set before me I began to take
notes of those inspirations that quickened within me. Many scriptures
opened up to me in a new light, and many new scriptures became
a part of my consciousness. I will begin this writing with what
was unfolded to me and the sequence thereof, in the hope that
it might prove useful in your Quest to attain the fullness of
Christ. I do not think that I have yet attained, but one thing
I do, I press on toward the High Calling that we have in Christ.
At the time that this new intensity to enter into a deeper understanding of the Mystery of Christ began to unfold in me, I became aware of the importance of meditation. Since this time meditation has become a very important part of my Quest for Christ's fullness. I realize that I have always had meditation to some degree in my life, though I was mostly unconscious of it, but now it has become a conscious part of my Quest. Purposely shutting down and going within to hear what the Spirit is saying, or taking a scripture or a spiritual truth and meditating on it for greater enlightenment by the Holy Spirit is what meditation is all about.
A meditation sheet was begun so that I might keep a record of all that was being unfolded to me. There was no way I could understand all that was going on within me...I must keep a record. It was so. With this record I will attempt to put in words what I have seen by the Spirit that is within me. I do not say that I am right and you are wrong if we do not agree. Only that this is how I am seeing the things of the Spirit, and this is how it was unfolded to me. I consider myself to be continuously a student of the WORD and teachable by the Spirit. There should always be a progression upward into the Truth of Spirit.
"Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all." 1 Tim. 4:15. To see the importance of meditation one need only look to the scriptures. In the Psalms we see frequently the importance of meditating: "I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings." Psalms 77:12. "I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways." Psalms 119:15 (and many others). Meditation is not something regulated to the cults, or to a past ancient time, it is as much for us today as it was for mankind in any day.
Meditation has lost its form in today's Christian society, even though it has had a resurgence in the last few decades. Meditation takes on several forms: contemplative meditation and silent meditation are two of these. Contemplative meditation is to take a thought of God and seek an inner, deeper, understanding of it. Silent meditation is listening for the still small voice without any words or thoughts, and is much deeper, and harder to attain. But with practice we will get there. I would encourage all who read these lines to practice meditation to whatever degree you understand. Please pray and consider what is being said, and do not just take my word for it. You must hear the Word for yourself, I am only relating my experience to you.
(If you have not studied the Finished Work of Christ then I would encourage all who read these lines to do so. An understanding of what happened to Jesus in His death and resurrection, and our union in Him is a MUST. Be fully grounded in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in His death, burial, and resurrection.)
To begin, let us take the thought of Paul in Galatians 2:20 and seek to know the inner depth of this scripture. "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
My personal self, the little ego that I think I am, the missing of the mark that I was, has been done away with in the work of Jesus Christ. My selfhood apart from God has been destroyed in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Living no longer am I (personal self), but living in me is Christ (my new Self, the inner man that I am in God). I can now turn within to the Christ of my being, for it is He that is living in me to will and to do His good pleasure. He goes before me to make the crooked places straight; He is behind me as my rear guard; He is around me as my wall of salvation; He is beside me as my tower of strength; He is over me as a shadow of covering; He is the Rock that I am built upon; His kingdom is within my very being. I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
Jesus Christ took the I, personal self, self-for-self,
out of me in His death, and is now the I of me through
His resurrection. This I, Christ, is now who I really am.
Christ the I AM is who I am, so where I am, I AM is there. It
is no longer I but I. And I must be about my Fathers
business. If we can learn to yield to the real Self of us, instead
of believing the lie of personal self, we will be lead
of the Father in all our ways. If we will acknowledge Him as the
Reality of us in all our ways, He, I, will direct our paths.
(Whenever I use the letter I, italicized, it is in reference
to Christ as the Reality of my individual being, the Real, or
the Truth of me).
I now live out my life in the understanding that what is true of Christ Jesus is true of me, no matter what the appearance is. I judge with Righteous Judgment and only hear what the Father is saying. I only see what the Father sees as true, regardless of the lie of a personal selfhood apart from God. My life is hid with Christ in God, and I must find this to be the Truth of me, even if the whole world is trying to crucify me with its lies. Let every "man, whose breath is in his nostrils," be a liar, and let God's Word be true.
Christ is now the Center, the I of my being: He is the New Self in me. He is the "I" in I am, for He has swallowed me up in Himself. Christ is the Life of my Spirit, the motion of my Soul, and the existence of my Body. In Him we live and move and have WHO WE BE.
I am One with Christ like a branch on a vine, and I am the very extension of His Life. Through Christ I have been created in the image of God, for it is in Him and by Him and through Him that all things exist. He is the beginning of the creation of God. Our beginning, and end, is in Him. Christ is all and in all.
He is in me and I am in Him, for I am joined to the Lord and One Spirit with Him. Christ is my Spirit, Christ is my Soul, Christ is my Body; anything less than that is a finite concept of the Truth of Being. Christ is all and in all: Christ is Truth, and that which doesn't line up with this Truth is a lie, and comes from the father of lies, the spirit of error, in whom there is no truth. Truth is Reality! The falsehood of finite concepts is the carnal mind, the lie of a personal selfhood apart from God that lives in "this world" of good and evil.
The kingdom of God has nothing to do with good and evil, that is an Adam--man of the dust realm--thing. The kingdom of God is LIFE, LIGHT, and it has no darkness at all...no opposites, and this kingdom is within you--a realm of consciousness within your very being. In the kingdom "all that the Father has is Mine," yet in my flesh I see no good thing--nor evil thing--I must bear witness to LIFE. I do not believe in the lie of a personal selfhood apart from God anymore. I do not believe I am a god, or that I can ascend to the prominence of the Godhead. I died and it is no longer "I"; everything that I am today I am in Christ. He is the Reality of my being, and He is Life; and that Life is flowing through me like the life of a tree flows through the trunk and into the branches. I have the Life of God in me, and I am One with that Life. Like the light of the sun that is shinning through my window, so the Life of God flows through me; I am but the pane of glass through which this Light of Christ shines through. "I am that substance of matter and Spirit through which the Invisible steps down into visibility."
It is no longer I but I, Christ in me; He is Who I am, I am who He Is...we are One. The place whereon I stand is holy ground: So, wherever I am God is. I am an individual expression of the Christ, a member of the body; One in Spirit, One in Truth, One in Life...One. My Father and I are one.
Walking out of who I know. . .I AM. God is living and expressing Himself as me. I don't think that I am God, or ever will be, "of my own self I can do nothing"; but God is within me as the Reality and Truth of who and what I am. I must now come to the conscious awareness of who God is in me, and who I am in God. Then miracles will began to happen.
So that I am not misunderstood: I do not think that I (personal self, Rich Morton) am God; I do not think that I am the Christ; I do not think that I am Divinity of any shape or form. I am nothing of my own self, I am only that which God has made me to be through His Son. The Son of God, the visible manifestation of the invisible Father, has made me to be all that He declares of me...an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ.
I, personal self, am crucified with Christ. All that constituted a selfhood separate and apart from God has been crucified with Christ. My ego, my self-for-self nature that I was born with from the Adamic consciousness has been drawn into the Christ, and there I, self, became extinct. I was eliminated, annihilated, destroyed, through the person and work of Jesus the Christ.
There is only one Christ, yet, that Christ has many members. The fullness of the Godhead dwelt in Christ Jesus, and we are individual expressions of the same Christ. Christ is the Reality of my being! Christ is Spirit, Christ is Soul, Christ is Body.
Spiritual maturity is growing up into Christ-consciousness. It is a conscious awareness of who I am in Christ. We constitute the visible expression of the Christ on earth...His Body. Christ is all!
We are all ONE in Christ...Abraham's seed...heirs.
Of one seed is Christ!
As the body is one...so, also the Christ.
We, the many, are One.
There is only ONE and Christ is the ONE. Christ Jesus is the Head and we are the body. We are ONE in Christ: Christ is ONE in us. We constitute "the Christ." The Christ is ONE.
"And I consecrated myself for their sakes that they may be made holy by the truth. "I am not praying only for these men but for all those who will believe in me through their message, that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, live in me and I live in you, I am asking that they may live in us, and that the world may believe that you did send me. I have given them the honour that you gave me, that they may be one, as we are one-- I in them and you in me, that they may GROW COMPLETE INTO ONE, so that the world may realize that you sent me and have loved them as you loved me." -John 17:19-23, Phil.
"But, he that joineth himself unto the Lord, is, one Spirit." -1 Corinthians 6:17, Roth.
"And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:" (Mr. 12:29 ). There is only the one infinite Divine Consciousness, the Creative Principle of the universe--Father God--expressing and manifesting Himself as the visible creation. "Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me. "Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other." -Isaiah 45:21,22, NKJV. "I" is the LORD, and we must look to "Me" and be saved. The "Me" and the "I" is Christ. Christ Jesus was the manifestation of the God and Savior who has declared Himself all through the Bible. And this Great God and Savior is within us as the Reality of our Being. "...'Surely God is in you, And there is no other; There is no other God.'" -Isaiah 45:14. There is no other selfhood apart from God. A relationship of ONEness is our true condition.
I am so perfectly in union with God that we are ONE SPIRIT. We are in Christ, Christ is in us, the Father is in Christ ; all perfected into One. "I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one." -John 17:23. If anyone is in Christ he is a New Creation...the old has ceased to exist.
The New Creation Man is not the personal I that thinks he is something special, the little ego that thinks he is a big shot; the little personal self that thinks he is God. Flesh and blood cannot enter the kingdom of God, only that which is of Spirit can enter the kingdom. Only your Spirit-man, your Real man can enter the kingdom. "The natural man receives NOT the things of the Spirit of God...nor can he know them." The New Creation is the Christ-man; the New-man, the True-man--the inward Man of Spirit.
If you have been born again you have had a spiritual birth. That spiritual birth has birthed in you what is true of you in Spirit, no matter what the flesh screams. The mind of the flesh is a liar, and the father of them. The Mind of Christ is the Truth, and that Truth will set you free from the limitation of your humanhood. Let the flesh scream, let the soul roar, they are not what is true of you. It is the Spirit that gives life, the outer lie will fade away as the inner Truth is realized. "Jesus answered him, 'Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above... Jesus answered, 'Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit... 'What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 'The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.'" -John 3:3, 5,6,8. You are born of Spirit, so you must look to Spirit for your Life; for your true identity.
"A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven." -John 3:27. The New Man is Spirit and he can only receive that which is of Spirit. You can't put New Wine into an old wineskin: The invisible truth of Spirit will not be expressed in the old Adamic consciousness. Quit looking for your blessing to come through man, for if you do, one day it will be good and another day it will be evil. That is the consciousness in which man lives. The New Man lives out of his Christ-consciousness, and this comes through the renewing of the mind to spiritual truth.
"Acknowledge every good thing that is in you in Christ." -Philemon 6.
"Let the meditation of my soul be upon you O Lord." -MC.
"He performeth the thing that is appointed for me" -Job 23:14.
"The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me" -Ps. 138:8.
"Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or wither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there." -Ps. 139:7,8.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me" -Ps. 23:4.
"Fear not: for I have redeemed the, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." -Isa. 43:1.
"I have overcome the world." -Jn. 16:33.
"I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me" -Jn. 14:10a.
"The Father who dwells in Me does the works." -Jn. 14:10d.
"I am in the Father and the Father is in Me" -Jn. 14:11.
"Because I live, you will live also." -Jn. 14:19.
" I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you." -Jn. 14:20.
Our ONEness with God is the Quest that is set before us. The end of our mortal life will be when we have reached the consciousness that we and God are one, then we will be fully clothed, found not to be naked, we will have put on the Reality of Spirit and will forever be an expression of Him that created us in His image.
This is the most difficult chapter to write for I am trying to convey to you, in human terms that which is Spiritual; and which I am but only in the beginning stages to understand. This is but the "tip of the iceberg" if you will, to an understanding that is absolutely life changing. A revelation from the midst of the throne that is working its way outward, and I am only at the dawning of comprehension, is an understanding of Consciousness. I have been made aware of the importance of consciousness and the depth of it as it pertains to my life. Consciousness is deep and infinite, and it is not separate nor apart from God; it is one with Him, and to understand Consciousness is to begin to understand the infinity of God.
I was at a friend's house watching a show about consciousness and in it science was trying to determine what consciousness is. Needless to say, they came to the conclusion that they knew not what consciousness is, it was beyond their understanding. Consciousness is Spiritual and cannot be understood with the natural mind. One reason science doesn't understand consciousness is because it is invisible. It cannot be known by physical sense - seen, touched, smelled, tasted, or heard - yet it is all around us, and we can't exist without it. Consciousness IS, and only through our spiritual senses can we understand Consciousness.
Consciousness is existence: The core of all existence is Consciousness. Consciousness comes forth from God and is Spiritual. Consciousness is the life of all mankind. Consciousness was in the beginning with God, and is the Light that lights all men who are born into this world. Consciousness is eternal, and your individual consciousness will exist eternally. Consciousness in its purest and highest state is God, and its lowest expression is fallen man.
The fall of man is the taking on of a lower state of consciousness. Man's consciousness fell from being God-centered to being self-centered. Consciousness is not your conscience. Your conscience is your individual morality and pertains to your soul. To be conscious is to be aware and alert; mentally active. To be unconscious is mental inactivity, the closest state to being dead the human can be in without actually passing on. Consciousness is "the full knowledge of what is in one's own mind," but it is even more than that; it is a full understanding of one's own existence. As one poet said so many years ago: "I think, therefore I am." This is a statement of consciousness--of existence. In the Bible we see God reveal Himself as: "I AM THAT I AM." In this we see the highest statement of consciousness that is known in the universe, God being absolutely aware of His existence without any doubt. Jesus made reference to this when He said: "I AM." He was fully aware of who, and what, He was. He was God-Consciousness expressed as individual being, and His Christ-consciousness was manifest as His individual experience.
A friend and brother of mine who is a "Dreamer" was telling me about a vision he had one time while driving not far from my home. While beholding Mt. Magazine in front of him he could see different hues of colors ascending to the top of the mountain. The Lord then made him to see that he needed to go through different ascending levels of Truth to reach the top of the mountain. We, too, must go through different states and stages of consciousness to reach the pinnacle of our Quest.
"In My Father's house are many mansions." In Fathers house there are many dwellings--dwelling places of mind: many states and stages of consciousness. We must ascend through these stages of consciousness into the divine Truth of Being. The Path is broad in the beginning but, "strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
Only One has made it to "the fullness" in this life-Jesus, and He is the Christ. The "top of the mountain" is the fullness of Christ-consciousness; and God is developing our consciousness on higher and higher spiritual levels until we reach this exalted estate. This is what Paul referred to as the "upward call of God in Christ Jesus." We must press toward this goal: "filled with all the fullness of God."
God, the creative Presence of the universe, the infinite Wisdom of all that is, the very Power of all powers, is calling us upward in our understanding of who we are in Him. Calling us to see that He is the creative Source, Principle, and Life of our being. That He is the I of who we are. He is the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus that has set me free from the law of sin and death. No longer do I have to feed on the husks of human wisdom, but I can return to Father's house; and eat of the fatted calf, and wear the robe of royalty, and put on the ring of divine sonship. "I and My Father are One."
Christ--our Life, when He is manifested we will be manifested with Him in glory. When the Reality of the Christ is manifest He is all that will be seen. The glory of God will consume us from our most inner-being (Most Holy Place) outward. Then we will know as we are known. We are complete in the Christ, we only lack the understanding, the conscious awareness, of our True identity.
The kingdom of God is within me; Christ is in me; where in me? Is Jesus walking around in me somewhere? Is there a secret kingdom inside my body or mind? What constitutes me? Am I my mind or my body? I think not. I am conscious of my existence - as Spirit, Soul and Body - and my consciousness of this truth gives me my outward expression. Therefore, I am consciousness expressed as individual being; and my Consciousness is the Life of my existence. Consciousness is individualized as my very own consciousness. Therefore, the kingdom of God is within my consciousness, and I can turn within to My Consciousness, to the kingdom of God, and when I find it there within me you will see manifestation of it here outwardly.
God Consciousness is My Consciousness: My consciousness is God's consciousness individually expressed. When I ascend into the Reality of Consciousness, in that moment, in the twinkling of an eye, I will be changed. For then I will have put on immortality and no longer will I be living by the sweat of the brow. I will have put on my Spiritual Identity which is the image of Him who created me. The Life of God pours through My Consciousness to all those who turn to it. To whatever degree of Christ-consciousness, God-awareness, that I become conscious of, to that degree can I help someone who turns to me for help.
The all-power, all-presence, all-wisdom of God is Christ, and this omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience of the Spirit of God in man is true Consciousness: Christ in us expressing Himself to all of creation. Whenever two, or even three, are gathered in My nature, there I AM in the midst of them. We should then be releasing this Power, this Presence, this Wisdom to all those who have come to drink of the water of Life that flows like a river from our inner-most Being--from within Consciousness.
"In His presence is fullness of joy," and He is present as My Consciousness, as the very activity of my being; and it takes a conscious awareness of this Truth to bring it into expression. It takes the recognition that what is true of you in Spirit is what is true of you in Soul, and then comes the manifestation in the body. We must see what is true in the invisible (Spirit), so that it can have expression in the understanding (Soul), and then have form in the visible (Body). "In Him we live and move and have our being."
All that Christ is, I am: I in God, and God in me, all One; sons of God, and if sons...heirs, and if heirs...joint heirs with Christ in God. All that belongs to God belongs to me. God is the Life, the Light, and the Glory; the Spirit, the Soul, and the Body of individual you and individual me. Christ, the expression of the Godhead, is the Reality of our being, and all there is to us is Christ. Christ is ALL and in all.
I am known of God, but I must know as I am known. I must keep my mind on God as the Reality of my being. He will keep me in perfect peace when my mind is stayed on Him. He is the infinite Consciousness of my being, not the form and substance of the things of "this world". I must take thought away from good and evil, and feed only of the tree of Life that is in the midst of the garden that I am.
God is developing our consciousness on higher and higher levels of spiritual Truth. This growing up into Him in ALL things is an ascension life. "As he is, so are we in this world." All that Christ is I am. My Real Self is the Christ, the Son of the living of God, Christ in me the hope of glory. We have been glorified through the divine Son of God that is within us as our individual Christ-consciousness. "And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we are one;" -John 17:22.
Our ONEness with God establishes our oneness with all spiritual truth. Yes, we are one with one another, and one with God; One Body of Christ. It is marvelous, and incredible, what He has made us to be "in Christ." "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." -Romans 8:29,30. He calls, He justifies, He glorifies; three levels of Spiritual consciousness, of growing up into Him in all things. Christ is your individual spiritual Consciousness. And we are to grow up into Christ-consciousness in all things. Christ is all and in all. The Christ is my individual spiritual Consciousness: My individual spiritual consciousness is the offspring of God. Christ is My Consciousness.
"The LORD is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him." Habakkuk 2:20, NASB. "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? "And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.'"
Do you not now know that you are the Holy Temple of God? Then let all the outward manifestation be silent before Him. Let all the problems of the earth realm be silent in His presence. And He is present in His temple, He is present within you, let your body of flesh and your carnal mind be silent. Are you not tired of listening to the lie of the carnal mind? Do you not know that the carnal mind receives NOT the things of God...nor can it? All this outward manifestation of carnality is not the LORD, nor can it be. He is in His Holy Temple, and it is there that He must be sought.
Do you think that God lives in holy mountains or holy buildings, or any other outward manifestation? Think again. God lives in His people. He lives in those who have been born of the Spirit, and through recognition have realized Him into their experience. "The kingdom of God is within you."
I remember trying to sleep one night and my thoughts were racing around in my head like if you were to see a movie of the Los Angeles freeway system in high speed. Here I was, a man of the earth, trying to figure out all my problems of tomorrow by thinking. Thoughts were racing from one end of my mind to the other, then another thought would flash back the other way; this way and that way, up and down, and swirling all around. I could find no peace. I could find no comfort. I could find no sleep. And, most of all, I could find no answers.
The answers that I needed are not in the thinking mind of man, the answers are in Consciousness. Not that a man can't use his mind; the mind is an avenue of awareness through which inspiration and intelligence flow. The mind is a tool to be used just like my hands are a tool to be used by me. With my mind I can come into an awareness of the Truth of God; this is in fact is how we are being transformed...through the renewing of the mind.
I am a Spiritual being and I need spiritual answers, and these do not come through the thinking human mind. These answers come from Spirit and that is within me. I do not need God to come out of the sky and speak to me, I need to hear His still small voice that is within me, and then the earth of carnality melts. The outward manifestation dissipates at the Voice of the LORD, for nothing of carnality can stand in His presence.
Then, I remembered the command of the Lord. So I got up and went into my study, sat in my chair, and listened. My head was buzzing with problems and thoughts and I remembered the command: "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen I will be exalted in the earth." -Psalms 46:10.
I must be still; I must let all the earth keep silent; I must know that I AM is God in me and that He has all the answers to my problems. I must know that He is mighty within me, and that greater is He (Christ-Self) that is within me than he (personal-self) that is in the world.
As I contemplated the truth of that scripture the "freeway system" of thoughts began to slow down. As I turned within to the Holy Temple I could see peace on the horizon. I then meditated on that Truth, ignoring the buzzing lingering around inside my mind, and I hear: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee." -Isaiah 26:3. My mind was stayed on my problems and they kept getting immense, in my mind that is. I must keep my mind on God as the Reality of my being, not these problems that were presenting themselves to me.
By contemplating Truth, I was able to enter into a deep peaceful meditation with my mind stayed on God and trust Him as the problem solver, trust Him to give me the wisdom at the time I need it; trust Him to go before me to make the crooked places straight. As the peace came and the thinking mind was stilled, I could hear the Voice of Spirit walking in the garden--"I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Peaceful sleep came to me that night and a new awareness of the Truth of Being. I realized that I no longer have to look to my own self to try and figure out my problems, but I must look to my inner Self, the Christ in me, as the Way shower in all areas of my life.
That night unfolded as a message that was shared on 3/8/00, titled "Be Still." I would now like to share those notes with you:
The goal of growing up into Him in all things is the releasing of the Soul from the tomb of human existence into the reality of spiritual existence.
The tomb of our human existence is the tomb of our carnal mind. The carnal mind of MAN is an imprisonment to the human experience, and it holds us in bondage from the freedom of the Spirit of Life that we have in Christ Jesus.
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3, KJV.
THE FATHER WILL KEEP US IN COMPLETENESS BECAUSE OUR PURPOSE IS IN HIM.
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalms 46:10, KJV.
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that HE IS, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6, KJV.
God IS: He is Self-sustained, Self-maintained, and Self-fulfilling. I must come to God believing that He IS, and that He is always is-ing Himself towards me.
All of my outer storms will be stilled when my inner conflicts are settled.
PEACE, BE STILL!
"And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm." Mark 4:39, KJV.
The reality of Christ stills the storm.
Be Still. Be still in my mind, be still in my Soul. Be still to the waves of duality that roar in the sea.
"Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when
the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them." Psalms 89:9,
KJV.
"The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted
up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The LORD on high
is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty
waves of the sea." Ps. 93:3,4, KJV.
My Soul is like the boat on the sea...the waves are crashing, the wind is blowing, and I feel as though I am going to drown...yet, Christ is asleep in the boat. He told me to go to the other side. He didn't say "go to the middle of the sea and drown," He told me to "go to the other side." So the Christ rises within and declares to the waves, "Peace, Be Still." And He says "BE STILL" to all the waves of duality--my double-soul life.
"...a two-souled man is unstable in all his ways." James 1:8, -YLT.
Up to this point in my Christian walk I have live a two-souled life. I see into the reality of the Spirit, and yet, I live in the nature of the flesh. When the reality of the Spirit of Christ stands up in my Soul, in my understanding, in my consciousness; when I move forward from a revelation of Christ to a realization of Christ within---things change.
The reality of Christ is who we are. Just as the reality of Christ's death is my death, so, too, is the reality that Christ's life is my life. But if there is no change in my outer experience then there has been no realization in my understanding, and I am still in sin-consciousness.
"I am...the Life," "Christ, who is our Life," Life is a HE. And the Life that is Christ is in me and you. And He is wanting to live His Life through me--that is the hope of glory...Christ in you (Col. 1:27).
This is why He tells us to be still: We need to be still so we can hear His voice speaking to the waves and to the wind of the storms of life. His voice will declare what is true in the heaven, the realm of Spirit; and what is true in the heaven will be true in the earth. What is true in the Spirit will be true in the flesh.
PS. 95: 7, "...Today, if you will hear His voice." And His voice is a still small voice and it is within you, for the Kingdom of God is within YOU! We must hear His voice. We must hear what is true in heaven, for what is true in the Spirit...is true of you.
We need to become consciously aware of what God says about us as the truth of us. What He declares about you and me is the truth of you and me. It is not a hope it is the truth.
What God declares of Christ He declares of us. What is true of Him - is true of me. The truth of Him is the truth of me. The "I" of Him is the "I" of me. Gal. 2:20
The I of me is Spirit, and that Spirit is standing up in my soul and speaking, "PEACE, BE STILL; KNOW THAT I AM GOD! And all is being made calm at the voice of Christ speaking Truth within me.
God in the midst of me is the only Power; God in the midst of you is Mighty. Rest in that assurance.
To be still is to have an intimate meditative relationship with God. To be quite and hear His voice we MUST spend time fellowshiping with Him...understanding our union with Him...knowing Him.
To know Him and the Power of His Resurrection:
That's a relationship that bears fruit.
-End.
The true condition of all mankind is SPIRIT, "However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual." Spirit is the absolute truth of individual being but the earthy, natural man, is the one we see, hear, feel, smell, taste, and deal with on a day-to-day basis. Consciousness embodies all the universe but all that is in the universe does not embody Consciousness: All that God is I am but not all that I am is God.
The natural man does not receive the things of Spirit...nor can he know them; he is in the human condition, under human consciousness--sin consciousness--and this man of the earth is of the carnal mind and under its dominion. To say that the Adam man is God or a god of any sort is a lie. It is the self-centered lie that has been the fall of man from the beginning: thinking himself to be something that he is not; and trying to be that which only God is within him. Man of the earth is a natural human being, and can only expect to see the natural laws of good and evil in his experience. Man of the Spirit is a spiritual being and should expect to see the results of Spiritual Truth in his experience.
We can only be that which the creator has made us to be, and the first man was of the earth--earthy. The second man is from the heavens and is spiritual. The second man is the Real man, the Man in God's image and likeness, and this is who we are, but we can only enter into this Reality by Rebirth and Renewal.
Rebirth and Renewal as spoken of by Paul is the salvation that comes to us through the "washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit." "He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit." -Titus 3:5 NIV. We are saved or delivered from the human Adamic nature by being born from above--born of the Spirit--and then growing up into that truth by the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. Our consciousness must ascend into the Truth of our being in Christ in God. This ascending in Truth is the renewing that is going on within us. As we are renewed in our mind to the Truth of our relationship with God in Christ, the understanding will permeate our Soul and we will give forth the expression or manifestation of the Christ.
"Our consciousness determines our outward expression." Intellectual knowledge is not enough. Whatever degree of Truth we have absorbed in consciousness, it is that Truth that will govern our life..."The government will be on His shoulders." To be under sin-consciousness will result in a belief of separation from God, and this will keep one under the bondage of corruption. To come to the realization of our union with God in Christ brings one into Christ-consciousness and this will lift one up into the heavens, the Mind that was in Christ Jesus, where we reign with Him.
The Christ resides within our being, our consciousness, and as we ascend into Christ-consciousness then that mind that was in Christ Jesus becomes our mind; and that mind is the Mind of God.
To be "born again" is to be birthed of Spirit. "Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God" -1 Jn. 5:1. In the human world the sperm enters the egg and life begins: in the spiritual world the Spirit enters the consciousness of man, bringing spiritual life where only spiritual death was heretofore. We were spiritually dead before this Seed of Spirit, of Life, entered into our consciousness, our spirit, and it was then that the New Creation Life began for us.
Jesus reveled to us that "unless one is born from above (born again), he cannot see the kingdom of God; and "unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." He taught us that "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit." -Jn. 4: 3-6. You were born into your human family a natural man: you were born into God's family a Spirit man.
In order for us to see the kingdom of God we must be born from above. The Spirit of Truth must impart Life within our consciousness and this enlightenment is being born from above. The impartation of Life, of Christ, enters the spirit, or consciousness of man, and he is born again. Man is born into a new realm of existence, spiritual existence, he has become a new creation. At this stage he can only see the kingdom of God.
For us to enter into the kingdom of God one must be born of water and the Spirit. The water speaks of baptism and baptism is in reference to the Death of Christ, and the Spirit is the Life side. Not only must we have the Spirit of Christ within our consciousness, but we must have an understanding of the Death and Resurrection of Christ as well. In this wise will we be able to enter into the kingdom that is within us.
To truly understand who we are in Christ we have to have a conscious awareness of the Death and Life of Christ and how this births in us the Reality of who we are. The Death of Christ destroyed the old Adamic nature, along with the sin and death that belong to that belief system. The Life of Christ brings forth the New Creation and the freedom of a new existence that we have in God.
Recognition of the Christ is the born again experience; and to whatever degree we recognize the Christ, to that degree we are born from above....that is, able to see the kingdom of God.
My desire, though, is to not only see the kingdom of God but to enter into its fullness with all of the glories it has for us right now. But we must be born of the water and the Spirit to enter the kingdom. Too many people believe that you have to die physically in order to enter the kingdom of God; that we must be born of a natural birth and then die and go to heaven to enter into the spiritual kingdom. The truth is: you must be born form above and then you must die to the belief of a personal self, and then be raised in the new Self that Christ may live His kingdom life through you.
To be born of water and Spirit is to be born of death and resurrection. We enter into the Kingdom of God through an understanding of the death of self, the personal "I" that I think I am...the ego, the natural man, and through the resurrection of the Self, the I that I am...the inner-man, the Spirit man--Christ in me.
The death of Christ was the death of self. It is no longer self who lives, Christ is the Self in me now. "Put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him." -Col. 3:10 NAS. We are putting on this new Self by being renewed to the Truth of individual being: Truth according to the image of the One who created us, and we were created in Christ Jesus for good works. Whatever is true of Christ is true of you and true of me. Christ died, I died; Christ lives, I live. Christ is Spirit, I am Spirit, seated at the right hand. "As He is, so are we in this world." 1 Jn. 4:17.
We must be born again through the death and life of Christ, the water and Spirit, for us to enter the kingdom of God. It is then that we will take up our inheritance, put on our royal robe and the signet ring, and administer the Life of God as His manifested sons in His image. Forever will be removed the sin-consciousness, the consciousness of missing the mark; but instead, we will have put on our true identity through our Christ-consciousness, and will go forth working the works of God.
Being born of water is seeing the removing of the natural man with his lusts. Being born of the Spirit is to see the Life of Christ as the True condition, or the New Nature that we have in God. Consciousness is now imbued with the truth of being--the truth of who you really are--and you can enter into all the benefits of the kingdom of God. The water--the Death--removes the old man nature you believed yourself to be. The Spirit--the Life--establishes the New Creation Man that you really are. All of this must be established within your individual consciousness.
We are partakers of the divine nature through the washing of our new birth of Spirit, we have been regenerated...made new. We go down into the water with an old self-for-self nature. We then ascend into the new Self-for-others nature of Christ, and inherit our promise land--the kingdom of God--which is not a natural place in "this world", but a spiritual place in which we live and move and have our being. "My kingdom is not of this world."
We were born humanly into this world of the Adam family and this necessitates the need for our being born again. Adam was made a living soul, and that living soul creation entered into a state of death. Adam had a relationship with God in which he communed with God in the spirit of the day, but after the eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, man's relationship with God was severed. Adam became self-centered--this was his fall. The Second Adam is God-centered, and is high above all. Adam's life was perfectly cared for, he needed for nothing because of his relationship with God. God was self-fulfilling Himself through Adam and all was harmony till he fed on the belief in a selfhood apart from God; till he tried to be his own god. No longer was there a relationship of oneness. This was now a creation of duality. The living soul became double-souled; a consciousness of God within him that was now dead, and a consciousness of a selfhood apart from God. This is what is commonly referred to as the two natures of man.
The result of Adam's actions were that man was forever separated from God. Man built a belief system based on his separation from God, this system of belief is called the carnal mind. Out of the carnal mind, the mind of flesh, man has been living his own life, trying to fulfill himself and be his own god. But this will never work, he must be born again. Man must be born again in order to restore his relationship with God and enter into the dominion he was called forth to have.
The most wonderful truth is that when man is born again--born of the Spirit--he is not as he was in the beginning. Man is not brought back into the same relationship he had with God in Eden. Man is no longer a living soul that has been made right with God, he is a new creation... a creation of Spirit. "Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God." -1 John 5:1. Literally you have been BORN OF GOD, you have been born again into a new realm of spiritual existence.
Through the redemptive work of Christ Jesus man has become a life-giving Spirit. He is now birthed of God, not just a created being. The earth is a womb and out of this human experience God is birthing a family in which He will restore all of His creation, near and far, back into Himself.
Now are we the sons of God, and when He is unveiled in us we will be like Him, for we will see Him as who we really are. One day the full truth of Christ will dawn in consciousness and we will see who we really are. When this day dawns we will see that we are the CHRIST, sons of God in His image. Now don't freak out on me, I am not, nor you, personally the Christ, only Jesus was that; we are what constitutes the Christ in this earth. "The Christ" consists of head (Jesus) and body (us), a many membered Man. We are the body of Christ; the substance of Christ; the form of Christ. In this aspect we are the Christ, and this truth manifesting through us is the hope of glory. In reality, we are nothing but a transparency through which God shines through. That is what Jesus was. Of His own self He could do nothing...same with us; it is to be the Father that is doing the work. So will God reveal Himself to the universe through His family of sons.
"Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir also through God's own act." -Galatians 4:7. We are no longer a slave to sin and death, and the fallen consciousness of man; but rather, we are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. As a son and an heir of God all that the Father has is ours.
We are told to "Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?" Isaiah 2:22, KJV. Man is a no-account in his own selfhood; we are now to live from the realm of Spirit, spiritual-consciousness. This man "whose breath is in his nostrils" is the natural man, the living-soul man, and we are not that man anymore. We are a spirit-man whose life is in Spirit, hidden with Christ in God. This is who we are. No longer are we the man of the earth, but now we are the Man of the heavens. He who is joined to the Lord is one Spirit. Not two; One.
"Call no man on earth your father," now the Elohim is your Father; no longer are you of the Adam family, now you are of the God family. As an heir of God all that the Father has is ours, and the earth is the Lord's and all its fullness. We now have a relationship of ONENESS with God in which there is no division, no separation, and no incompleteness. I, my true Self, and the Father are One. God is in me, I am in God, and we are ONE.
Our destiny is to be conformed into the Image of His Son. This has been the plan all along, and all of this is done through the redemptive work of Christ Jesus. Through Rebirth and Renewal God is birthing a family of Sons in His image and likeness, through which they will exercise all the dominion of God throughout all of God's vast creation.
"O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!...When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor. Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:" Psalms 8:1, 3-6, ASV.
As of 8/3/1 this writing has taken on its own form. From the beginning all the writing has been by inspiration of Spirit. Many of the thoughts that have started the first four chapters have come by way of my journal. But much of the substance has come by way of inspiration as I have sat down to write. I do not even really know where all this is going, as so much is coming forth as I write. But I know one thing, I am looking on with amazement as this book is taking form.
I do not claim that I have fully attained any of the deep things that I am sharing since most of them are by way of revelation; but, I do know that God will reveal them to us by His Spirit before they transpire in the earth. It has taken so many pictures of the puzzle to just see the measure of light that I see, and that is the interesting part...I still only know in-part. Yet, I know that God is revealing to His people a clearer understanding of His manifold wisdom.
The trumpet is sounding, can you hear? Can You? Not you, but You; the Real You. Mankind has been searching for his true identity all his lifetime. That which was spoken in the beginning is just now becoming clear in our understanding, and is beginning to take shape as form in our experience. We have just now come to the end of the sixth day when man has seen--in his limited understanding--that he was created in the image of God. Now God is at rest on this 7th day that is before us, what shall we do with it?
I know what the Adam consciousness did with it. He allowed himself to feed on the belief in good and evil--two powers. If mankind would feed on the tree of Life, the One and only Power, he would return to his lofty estate, only in a much greater degree. Man left the Garden as a living-soul, he will return as a life-giving spirit.
Man still thinks he is either good or evil, when in reality he is neither. He is neither good nor evil, "but thinking makes it so." Man is really Life or Consciousness manifested as individual being. Now if man could only see this truth in the most intimate of ways he would then bring forth the New Creation that he is.
The man that thinks he is either good or evil was crucified with Christ. Now this Christ is who I really am. This Christ is not the man Jesus walking around inside of me, though, it is the very same Spirit of Christ that animated the man Christ Jesus. Christ is not a person who lived two thousand years ago; Jesus was the Christ, the very manifestation of the I AM that the Hebrews knew as God. Christ is the name of the Perfect Man, the Man in the image and likeness of God...the Beginning and the End.
Alpha and Omega is Christ. Christ is All! And there is nothing that exists that is not Christ. All things are of Him, through Him, and for Him. All that the anti-Christ is...is a false belief, a lie, a lie that has manifested to temp us to believe in it. Through our carnal mind we believe the lies that we are bombarded with every hour of every day, and we suffer for it. We suffer from our own false belief because as a man thinks, in his own soul so is he. Whatever is in consciousness, that is what is expressed through soul, and that expression will be manifested as form or body.
Our soul is where we express who we are in our Spirit, it is then manifested in our body. Our soul is being saved from the lie by our being renewed in our minds to Truth. Through our mind, our avenue of awareness, we come to know the Truth that is expressed through our soul--where intimacy occurs--then manifestation takes place in bodily form.
As we come to know the Truth of being and the union of Truth that takes place within our soul, we will give birth to the Son of God that we are in Christ. One of the truths of being "in Christ" is to understand that it is a place in Consciousness. We were drawn into Christ, Christ-consciousness, and there the human Adamic sin-consciousness was given the blow of its life. Christ Jesus proved the unreality of sin and death and its power by passing through death and coming out on the other side of it the Head of a New Creation race of being. He destroyed the devil by exposing the Lie he is and has been perpetrating ever since the beginning. There is no truth in the Lie and there never has been, man only believed the Lie, and all the lies that it has fathered. Including the lie of religion.
Religion is one of the biggest lies of all time, it has been around since the beginning. Religion leads a man away from Truth by using a semblance of truth. It is a relationship with Truth, with Christ, with God, that brings a man into the image and likeness of God. Religion only uses the symbols of truth to then bring the man under the law of that symbol of truth. This is why religion looks so good, and seems to be the way to God. But you can only get to God through His Son, the Christ, not through the Adamic man trying to make himself as God through his own works. You can't put new wine into an old wineskin. There must be a new wineskin to hold the New Wine of Spirit.
We must put on the Christ Man and put off the "old man" by consciously knowing the truth of being in Christ. Finding out who and what we are, and living in a relationship with that Truth until the Son is birthed out of our consciousness. There is really only the One Consciousness and we come into this ONEness by attaining that Mind that was in Christ Jesus. Then we will truly be conformed into the image of His Son.
Beloved, Christ is all and in all. If we could only come to know this truth like Adam knew Eve and she then gave birth to a son; so would we give birth to the Son of God. All creation waits for this manifestation.
Today has been an awesome day! Even though I am tired from staying up late, and then getting up early this morning and going to work, where I was on my feet all day laboring "by the sweat of the brow;" still, It was a good day. Even though a rather heavy section of the dance floor, I was disassembling, slipped out of my hands and fell on my knee that was already bothering me from a previous injury: Still, it was a good day.
The reason it was a good day is because I had an awesome time at work fellowshiping with the Spirit. Today the Spirit was the Inspired, and inspiring Presence that was communing with me all morning till after the noon hour. I couldn't stop It. And I didn't want to. Inspirations were pouring through my mind, through consciousness. Many of them I don't remember, but they are there in consciousness; and I can draw out of that deposit at any time it is necessary.
The Inspiration can flow like a river clear as crystal, and as we learn to abide in that Presence we will be bringing forth restoration to the nations. As we become the transparency through which the Son of God can be seen, so shall He minister to the creation the Reality of the kingdom of God.
To fellowship in the Son is to fellowship in His sufferings. There is a suffering that takes place when you enter into the understanding of a son. First, we must fellowship in what Christ Jesus did in His ministry on earth, and we must fellowship in His death and resurrection. Then, we must fellowship in "that which is true of Christ is true of us," and there is a suffering involved in this as well. For the outer picture will not always line up with what is true of you in Spirit.
Religion teaches that every man has to have their own death to the personal-self, while the Way of Christ teaches that your personal-self is dead, and that what you see in "this world" is a lie, and you are now a New Self. It is no longer "I" it is the Christ, the Son of the living God. I must fellowship in this truth of being in Christ--in the Son, and there is a suffering in this.
"The Christ, is the Son, and that is who I am." The more we can ascend into the truth of this statement, the more we can expect to see the Son manifested to all creation. We have to put on our true identity, and through our fellowship with the Son that we are, the more we will be transformed into the likeness of the Son we are beholding.
Yes, my knee hurts, my back and my legs too. So what! Today was a good day, and I know what is true of me no matter what "this world" has to say. Reality is in Spirit, and that is where I will behold who I am. "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ our life appears (is revealed to you), then you also will appear with Him in glory.Christ is all and in all."
"There is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but CHRIST IS ALL and in all." Colossians 3:11, NKJV.
Our belief in, and the acceptance of, Adamic sin-consciousness as Truth in our lives is the double-mindedness of James 1:8; and it causes all of our instability, frustration, and lack; and its effect is the discords that we experience in our everyday lives. What is true of Christ is true of us, we just don't believe it. We must ascend into the realization, conscious awareness, of Christ as the Truth of our Being, the very I that I am. We must turn our gaze away from what we appear to be in Adam--a natural man of the earth--and see into the reality of the Spirit; for it is there that we will find our true identity. "Set your mind on things above (spiritual truth), not on things on the earth (natural conditions)." -Col. 3:2.
What does it mean to set our mind on things above, not on things of the earth? To set one's mind on things above is to fix one's thoughts on what is true in the Spirit, not on what you can see in your natural experience. Every day the earth-consciousness, the natural realm of flesh, presents us with a picture of what is in the natural; that is, a carnal representation of some thing that the carnal mind of man wants us to accept as truth in our lives. But the things of this earth--as real as they look, as real as they feel, and as real as they seem--are not Reality, not Truth as it is in Spirit. As in heaven, Spirit, so in earth, human experience. Reality is what is true in Spirit, that is the realm of Truth, and that is to be the truth in our experience. To set our minds, our thoughts, our judgment, on what we see in our natural earthen experience and then except it as the absolute truth in our lives is to live under the dominion of the carnal mind, and that is death. To set our minds on what is true in the Spirit is to be spiritually minded--see Spirit Truth as Reality-- and that is life. We have to see through the appearances of good and evil and see the truth of LIFE. This LIFE is the tree we must feed on.
In the spiritual world LIFE COMES FROM DEATH. So, then, the tree of life must be a tree of death. You must die to self (your selfhood apart from God) to live to Christ (your ONEness with God) and this is what the cross is all about. The cross is the instrument of death to the personal-self, but it is life to the Christ-Self. To really understand the cross you will have to see the death of who you believed yourself to be as a natural man of the earth; and then see who it is that you really are as a Spiritual Man in Christ. The cross is death to sin-consciousness and opens the way for Christ-consciousness through resurrection and ascension. We then can find that we are seated with Him in the Reality of Spirit. Established in Truth we will live a seated life.
A mind that is set on the truth of Spirit will build within you a Christ-consciousness, to have our mind set on the natural earth-man is to have an Adamic sin-consciousness. Christ-consciousness will lift our inner man up into the reality of spiritual truth, while sin-consciousness will leave us under the deception of good and evil.
Our daily experience depends on rather we are living out of our Christ-consciousness, or the mesmerism of Adamic sin-consciousness. Christ-consciousness will lift our Soul up from the material sense of existence into Spiritual Reality, while Adamic sin-consciousness will keep us bogged down in the ways and means of natural man, "whose breath is in his nostrils."
The goal of our spiritual life is the resurrection of our soul and body from the sepulcher of our Adamic carnal nature, more specifically--the carnal mind--into the reality of our spiritual existence--the New Creation Life we have in Christ. The human experience of the natural earth-man is a life of imprisonment to what is true of you as a Spirit-man. The human experience has formed a consciousness that is much, much, less than that of Spirit: Mortal man has fallen into a low state of consciousness--sin-consciousness. "Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for wherein is he to be accounted of?" Isaiah 2:22. The natural man has lost his position with God and is not to be considered any longer. He is not to be considered as the Reality and Essence of who you are created to be. Your natural human experience is not to be accounted as to what is really true of you as a spiritual creation of God. When this understanding dawns in consciousness, in that "moment" we will be changed. We will manifest all that God has created us to be in His Son Christ Jesus.
The most important factor is Christ-consciousness, or God awareness. "But seek the kingdom of God (the realm of Truth, or Reality), and all these things (needs of life) shall be added to you." -Lu. 12:31. In seeking the realization of God's kingdom, all things are added. We must break the patterns of seeking things, persons, or the praise of men; and we must turn our face like a flint toward seeking the kingdom of God within. Then we will experience the joy of feeling the presence and power of God within the very Center of our being. Then we will truly see that Christ is ALL to us all.
"To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." -Rev. 3:21. We must overcome the material sense, and beliefs, of "this world" and enter into the reality of "My kingdom." A Christ-conscious man lives and moves and has his being in a totally different realm of existence. Jesus speaks of this when He reply's to Pilate: "My kingdom is not of this world." -Jn. 18:36. Christ Jesus lived His life out of the Kingdom within Him, within His consciousness, not out of the system of "this world". We are not to be conformed to "this world", its way of thinking, nor of doing. We are to be "caught up" into Christ-consciousness, which is God-awareness--the Reality of Spirit--and then we will forever be with Him in the truth of ONEness. He that is joined to the Lord is One Spirit, one spiritual consciousness. If we live and move and have our being in human-consciousness, and Spiritual-consciousness is on a different level, then that is twoness, double-mindedness, being double-souled. At this point we are driven and tossed like a wave of the sea. In this condition we will never walk out who it is that we were created to be. The goal, according to Christ Jesus, is for us to be One with the Father, and to have a face to face relationship in Spirit and in Truth. "...that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us...And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: "I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one" -Jn. 17:21-23.
The goal of our spiritual life in Christ is ONEness with God through an understanding of the work of Jesus Christ. "For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God." The whole program of the Christian life is restoration through redemption: Restored back to Fathers house where we find our union with God. This union is not God and me, for I have died and there now is a new I in me. This new I is Christ and He has made me One with God. "I and the Father are one" is Christ-consciousness. It is the understanding and enlightenment of what God has made us to be in the Person of His Son. What is true of Christ is true of me, and it is true of you too. Without an inner awareness of this Truth we will never see the fruit or demonstration of it.
"'I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one...' " John 17:23, NKJV.
"The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me" -Ps. 138:8. God, through His Love, Grace, and Mercy, has made me perfect. He did this by removing everything that was wrong with me. The death of Christ Jesus was the removing of the old nature, of everything that was missing the mark, and then the bringing forth of a New Creation in the resurrection. When Christ Jesus came up out of the grave He was the New Creation, and everything that was true of Him that glorious morning is true of us today. Of coarse it takes belief, faith, trust, confidence, and an inner awareness to make this a reality in your experience, but it is true of you nevertheless.
He that is joined to the Lord is One Spirit. There is just One Spirit. It is not your spirit and God's Spirit that are joined or yoked together, it is just One Spirit. You don't have a separate spirit apart from God, your spirit is His Spirit and that Spirit is One. The Spirit of Christ dwells in you and that Spirit is the Spirit that makes you One with God. Christ in you is the very Reality of your being. He is the new I in you. He has become your new Self, for your old self was crucified with Christ and it is no longer you who live, it is now Christ in you as the Reality of your being. It is not Christ and you, but Christ in you, that is the hope of glory.
To live to the old self is to believe in a selfhood apart from God, and that is double-mindedness, double-souled--twoness. That is Adamic sin-consciousness, or carnal mindedness, living a separate life apart from God. The prayer of Christ Jesus before His death was "that they all may be one...one in US," One in Christ in the Father. My life is hid with Christ in God, and in that union we are One. The Father and I are one, and the reason that is true is because the I of me is Christ. There is not a separate me apart from God anymore, we are now One in Christ.
It is imperative that you--your human self doesn't think that he is one with God, or that he is God; or has any of the attributes of God. "The natural man receives NOT the things of the Spirit of God." Do not allow your old man to sit on the throne. You of your own self can do nothing, because you are nothing...a blade of grass that withers in the sun and dies. It is only the Christ in you that is anything, and that Christ in you is everything. CHRIST IS ALL!
"Man, whose breath is in his nostrils" is nothing, and he will never be anything. It is only Christ in you, coming forth as you, that will ever be anything. "He performeth the thing that is appointed for me" -Job 23:14. It is the Christ in you that is to shine forth as the Light of the world, and be the Salt of the earth. I of mine own self can do nothing, it is the Christ that is in the Father that is in me that does the work. But without a conscious realization of this Truth we can never reap the benefits of it.
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalms 46:10, ASV.
What we must learn to do now is to be still and know that He is God in the midst of us and that He is mighty. He will be exalted in your earth as you learn to be still and let God arise. As the truth of Christ arises in your consciousness He is exalted among your imaginations, and that Truth will be expressed in your outer experiences. "Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; also let those who hate Him flee before Him."-Ps. 68:1. All that is not Christ will flee as we arise in a Christ-consciousness: As the Truth of Spirit becomes the Reality in your consciousness the enemies of God are scattered. The last enemy to be destroyed is death itself. Death was the last enemy to be destroyed in the resurrection of Christ Jesus, and it is to be destroyed in us as we arise into the truth of Spirit. We are Spirit and we must live in the Truth of Spirit.
We can only come into this realization by being still and listening to the voice of the Spirit speak these truths within us. Intellectual knowledge is not enough, although it is a beginning. Jesus taught us to seek first the kingdom, and that kingdom of God is within us; and within us is exactly where we are to seek. We have spent to much time seeking things without us. We have sought for all kinds of spiritual truths in the without, for the outer-man, when the whole teaching of Jesus was to seek within and then let the outer experience befall to that withinness.
For this to become reality in our lives we must be willing to spend the time necessary in an intimate meditative relationship with God out of the very Center of our being. A realization of ONEness is only to be found by those who are willing to change, and willing to do whatever it takes to enter into His rest; although, "the works were finished from the foundation of the world." It is only by Grace that we will, and can, enter into this finished work.
We are a work in progress, called forth by God, created in Christ, manifested in Spirit, experienced by us. Christ is All and in all. If then Christ is All and in all, He must therefore constitute the Reality of all that is. This being true, and it is, what must change then is our perception of all that we see. We must see through the mesmerism of this universal carnal mind--the prince of the power of the air that is constantly bombarding us with its lies--and live out of the Reality of the kingdom that is within us. This can only be done through a conscious awareness of what is true of spirit, soul, and body, in the Christ that is All in us all. The Reality is Christ! We must learn to let Christ live through us who He is in us.
"For in him we live, and move, and have
our being...For we are also his offspring." Acts 17:28, KJV.
"For in Him we live and move and exist...For we are also
His offspring." Acts 17:28, GLT.
"for in him we live, and are moved, and do exist...For we
his offspring are." Acts 17:28, LO.
"for in Him we live and move and exist...For we also are
His offspring." Acts 17:28, NASB.
"For in him we have life (Spirit) and motion (Soul) and existence
(Body); as certain of your verse writers have said, For we are
his offspring." Acts 17:28, BBE.
Who are we and what do we have? Christ! Christ is the reality our being. When we understand this, come to a realization of Christ as the nature of our existence, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.
Christ is our true identity. We are no longer of "this world" even though we are in it. We have now come out from among them and become separate; and therefore, we are not subject to this world's laws of sin and death, except for those that we accept in our consciousness. None of "this world's" laws are binding upon the child of God, the offspring of Spirit, which we are. We are under Grace, the Law of the Spirit of Life.
The degree of our demonstration of this truth is based upon the degree of our awareness of this relationship. If we will abide in His Word and let His Word abide in us, not only will we see a change in our consciousness, but we will see a change in our experience. According to our faith it will be done unto us, and what we do not have a conscious awareness of we will not have faith in. Whatever TRUTH you have in consciousness that will be your demonstration. "The lamp of the body is the eye, if, therefore, thine eye may be perfect, all thy body shall be enlightened," Matthew 6:22, YLT.
It can also be said that, whatever degree of the lie is in your consciousness, that lie can very easily become your experience as well. The way to be protected from this is to know and understand that God is the only Power, and the lies of the carnal mind are not truth, not power. You must recognize this when it presents itself to your experience.
The real Being of us is Christ, the Center: the I. Christ is our INNER-MAN; He is the quality, the quantity, the cause, the life, the reality, and the substance of who we are. All that Christ is...we are in Him. It is this Christ that is to manifest as our individual Being. The invisible activity of Christ is to appear as the harmony of our Being. What is true of Him is to be seen as what is true of us.
"For God is my witness, whom I SERVE IN MY SPIRIT in the gospel of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you, always in my prayers" Romans 1:9, ASV.
Our Spirit is the REAL of us, the center of our Being--the New Self. We are to serve God out of our spirit because we are Spirit. We are a Spirit having a human experience, and it is out of our Spirit that we know God, contact God, and that God lives through us. It is out of our Spirit that a river of Life flows out to the creation. God is Spirit, we are Spirit, individualized as soul, and expressed as body. So, we must serve God out of the Real of us, otherwise it is just works of the flesh.
"For I delight in the law of God in my inmost self," Ro. 7:22, NRSV. The law of God in our inner Self is the Law of the Spirit of Life, the spiritual law of God that is true of us in Christ. We can delight in this law of Life for it is working in us, ever bringing us higher in the Truth of Christ in God. It is here that we will find the way to a life of righteousness, peace, and joy in God's Holy Spirit.
"For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man (self) perishes, yet the inward man (Self) is being renewed day by day." 2 Corinthians 4:16, MKJV. The belief that the outward self is the real man is double-mindedness, and the picture of your life will reflect who you believe to be the real you.
We believe in two self's, an outer-self that lives according to "this world," and an inner-Self that belongs to "My kingdom." Not that there is two persons, but that we have two expressions of Soul. One is the carnal mind of man, the other is the Mind of Christ. The outer-man is basically made up of a belief system in a selfhood apart from God. We have been born into the belief, and taught, that we are two persons living in a crazy mixed up world. Sometimes we do good and sometimes we do evil, and in many variations. The truth is that we are one new Self that has yet to tear down the old thinking patterns handed down to us from our ancestors. Everyday we do battle with the prince of the power of the air-waves that is bombarding us with the universal carnal mind of man. These universal beliefs are so strong that very few find their way through them. We must ascend through these lies into the truth of Being. Then we will come to the place where we can be living a seated life.
Jesus lived a seated life. He was absolute in what the Father was doing within Him. "My kingdom is not of this world" speaks of these two realms of living. Jesus was right here on earth but living in a totally different reality. He lived in "My Kingdom" as opposed to the rest of the human race that were living in "this world." We were born into "this world" and its ways of thinking; but, we are born-again into "My kingdom" way of life, and we must learn to function in it.
It is not Christ and you, but Christ in you that is the hope of glory. "If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true." John 5:31, NKJV. "If I testify concerning myself, my testimony is not true;" -YLT. THERE IS NO TRUTH IN MY S-E-L-F! The only truth is the truth of your inner-man. If I speak of my personal self there is no Truth in that. I may give you facts about me as a person, but those facts are not the Truth of who I am in Christ. When we speak of one another we should be speaking what is true in the inward Self, not what we see in the outer self. We are to no longer know Jesus Christ after the flesh. Why? Because it is not even the earth walking Jesus that we are to identity with anymore. Christ Jesus came up out of death and the grave the Head of the New Creation. He lived His life out of His inner-most Self and that is who He has put on in its fullness. Now, through what He has done, we can enter into the Reality of our Spiritual Truth. He has "opened up a way for the imprisoned splendor to escape."
It is no longer "I" who live. The I AM is the new I in you. (Jn. 8:58).
I am the vine. I am the light.
ALL THAT CHRIST IS WE ARE; ALL THAT THIS INNER SELFHOOD IS, WE ARE.
Duality has separated us from all that we are: But it is not really duality, as in that we are two, but it is a sense of duality based on our five physical senses, and our beliefs. The physical senses of our outer man have dictated to us what we are and we have built beliefs based on these, and what others have taught us, and that is a lie!
The carnal mind is a liar, and the father of them....the mind of flesh only minds the things of the flesh, the outward man, and that is not who, or what, you are. Christ, the new creation Self, is the Reality of you and you are to live out of that Truth. We must learn to live out of the reality of our being and that Being is Christ.
"Christ is all and in all." -Col. 3:11.
"The Body is ONE." -1 Cor. 12; Gal. 3:16 & 26-29.
Ever since I was in the sixth grade I have loved to watch the waves come off the ocean and on to the shore. The waves that do this are called "breakers" as opposed to waves that are " a wind driven ridge or swell of water at sea." A breaker is a wave that is "a moving mass of liquid on the surface of a larger mass." Breakers make their way toward shore from a very long way out at sea. I have painted and drawn these waves several times over the years, and have only recently come to understand why:
A wave is one with the ocean, and even though it is a wave unto itself, it is still one with its Source. Its Selfhood is the ocean; and every other wave is a wave expressed individually, but they are all part of the whole. The wave is an expression of the ocean: The ocean is the wave expressed. Whatever the ocean is the wave is. The life of the wave is the life of ocean and they are not two but one; one ocean expressing and manifesting itself as waves. So are you one in Christ in God. You are that point where God has stepped down out of the invisible and become visible, as Christ Jesus was the Word made flesh.
I have had in me a desire to paint the perfect wave and have tried to do so with little success. The reason is: the ocean is God and the perfect wave is Christ; so, now instead of all the waves trying to be the perfect wave they can rest in knowing the perfect wave has made the way for them to follow. We don't have to be the perfect man, Christ Jesus is that, we just have to follow in the Way to life that He said He was. Our perfection is in Christ, but we must wake up to this truth.
We are one with God like the wave is one with the ocean. This is why Jesus taught us to TAKE NO THOUGHT (Lk. 12) about our natural lives; but rather, just do what we see the Father doing. It is our Father's good pleasure to give us the kingdom. The wave doesn't have to take thought about its path, it just flows in union with the ocean it is absorbed in. This is truly living by Grace. Thy grace is my sufficiency.
If we are going to live, and I mean really live, out of the Reality of who we be, then we must have faith and confidence in what is true of us. Now I am not talking about blind faith, faith in faith, or faith in what we don't know; I'm talking about a faith in who God IS in us, who Christ IS in us, who we ARE in Him. A speaking of the Truth in love, knowing that "He performeth the thing that is appointed for me" -Job 23:14. Do you believe that He goes before you to make the crooked places straight? Do you? Do you believe? You believe the sun will come up tomorrow don't you? Do you have to make yourself believe this? Or, do you just have faith that the sun will rise as scheduled...without taking thought about it? I think so.
Do you believe that "The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me" -Ps. 138:8. You should! Because it is true, but you will not experience it until you do not doubt. The other kind of a wave is a wind-blown wave. It is driven this way and that way by all the seeming forces. A storm of trouble comes our way and we are driven to the brink of disaster because we don't have faith. "O you of little faith." The natural man is of little faith, but, the Inner Man is of great faith, for he knows how to speak to the storm. He calls the storm what it is...a lie. "Peace, be still," and the lie of human problems calms down to a peaceful experience.
Oh, dear brethren, if we could only see the Truth of our existence, the Reality of our Being, we would not be afraid. "Be not afraid, it is I. " We must hear this from deep within our being. There the still small Voice is speaking to us. There we must go within and enter into the kingdom of God, the kingdom of heaven, the realm of Reality; and from that place we can live and move and have our being. We will follow the Lamb wherever He goes, and another voice we will not hear. We will not listen to the voice of the stranger, the outer man with his lusts of the flesh, the wolf of our carnal thinking. Rather, we will hear the Lamb, and the wolf will lay down with the Lamb. There, crucifixion of the self will be seen and understood, and only the New Creation will come forth. We will be living out of the reality of our being and all will be well. It is well. It is well. Can you hear?
"But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." Isaiah 43:1, KJV. "Thou art Mine" what a powerful statement. If I am His, what do I have to fear? To fear would be to sin, to miss the mark of faith. Fear is the opposite of faith. It is a belief in another power other than God. It is having other god's before Him. Thou shall have no other God before Me: Thou shall believe in no other powers other than Me. God is the One and only Power and He is in you.
Do we not know that we are complete in Him who is the Head of all powers in heaven, on the earth, and under the earth? If we will know the truth the truth we know will make us free from the law of sin and death. The way up is down and the higher we ascend into the Truth of our being the deeper we go within.
"For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority." Colossians 2:9,10, NRSV. You have come to FULLNESS in Him. Do You hear? Your fullness and your completeness is in Christ in God, and where is He to be found...within you. Seek Him where He may be found.
"Fear not, I have overcome the world." There is a Power within us that is greater than all temporal powers, greater than all human beliefs of good and evil, greater than all devils and doctrines of demons; and this Power is Christ in you, the Reality of your Being. Relationship with that I, with that Christ, who IS our life, is the key.
God has a plan and a purpose, an Eternal Purpose, which He has accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. There is a finished work of New Creation which God has established in Christ Jesus, and you and I have been birthed into this Reality. You may hear it spoken of as the "finished work of Christ" or as "the mystery of God" or even the "finished mystery". In whatever language it is all the same, and it is that "which He purposed in Himself" from the beginning of time. "For God has allowed us to know the secret of his plan, and it is this: 'He purposed long ago in his sovereign will that all human history should be consummated in Christ, that everything that exists in Heaven or earth should find its perfection and fulfillment in him.'" Ephesians 1:9,10, Phil.
God has purposed in Himself that we should obtain an inheritance of perfection in Christ. Our inheritance is that we "may be filled with all the fullness of God" -Eph. 3:19. This is what the "finished work of Christ" is all about. Redemption is a finished work and if it is finished then it is not something that we look for to come to pass in the future, it is something that has been brought to pass in Christ Jesus, and we must find out what it is that is finished. When we have found out what it is that is finished we then have to come to a realization of it for it to be manifest in our life. It must become our reality as it is a Reality in God..."As in heaven, so in earth."
A conscious awareness and manifestation of the Finished Mystery that has been hidden for generations is what I am looking for. It was revealed to Paul and taught to the first century church, but it was lost in the dark ages and is now in this seventh day being revealed to us. Jesus said to "walk in the light while you have the light" and this is what happened in the early days of Christianity. For the first three hundred years, or so, the body of Christ was full of the glory and power of God. Eventually the darkness of the carnal mind infiltrated the church and the Truth of Christ became a religion. The teachings of Jesus, Paul, John, and the others were never meant to be a religion, they were meant to be edification to the body of Christ; which is a people who are in a relationship with God in the Spirit through the redemptive work of Christ Jesus.
God's purpose was not to have a new religion in the earth, but to have a people in His image who are "built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit" -Eph. 2:22. Without a doubt, it takes a revelation of Christ to see and understand this truth, and this only comes through a relationship; so you can see why religion has never been able to understand this most holy truth. God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world unto Himself for this very reason. The death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ is the very thing that brings God's eternal purpose into being.
The eternal purpose of God is the New Creation. The New Creation is not plan "B" or something that God came up with after Adam and the devil messed things up a bit. The New Creation is the manifested Spiritual Creation where God is all in all--everything to everyone. God is a Spirit and the Father of spirits, and He has created a spiritual creation for His offspring to live and move and have their being in. ...Though it does not yet appear what we shall be.
The WORD declares that we are His workmanship, "CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS" -Eph. 2:10. Did you hear that? Created in Christ Jesus! The finished work of Christ is a work of creation. He has created in Himself "one new man" -Eph. 2:15. Out of the two, Adam and Christ, God has created One New Man. There is only One Man, for He "has made both one" and we are in Him, by Him, through Him, and for Him. And there is nothing that exists that is not in Him..."the fullness of Him who fills all in all" -Eph. 1: 23.
The majority of folks in the earth today don't realize that God has a purpose and a plan. Everyone born into the world is born for a purpose, although most will not seek God for their purpose. Most seek their purpose in the natural Adamic life. You can be just about anything you want to be in your individual life if you apply yourself towards it. But being a doctor or an inventor or even a school teacher, wonderful as those endeavors may be, is not your purpose for being born. Many mighty persons have been raised up that have helped the world at large through invention or whatever their skill has been. Many have helped the world with little or no recognition at all. Many have helped just the people in their part of the world, or just the people they have been privileged to know. But none of these things are the reason for us being here. Have you ever wondered why there is a human race on this planet Earth? What is the purpose for our life? The answer is found in the understanding of God's eternal purpose. You have got to see the big picture.
I can hear someone say: "Do you think you know what God's purpose for life is? Of all the religions and philosophies you think you know the plan and purpose of God?" My answer to that would be: "The only Truth I know is that which has unfolded to me within my consciousness, within my understanding." I do not think that I know everything or anything. I only know that as I have listened to anointed teachers, read and studied the Bible, and other books that have been a part of my life--books that have "picked me"--my eyes have been opened to see the things that I am saying. I don't know who is right and who is wrong; I only know that God has a purpose, an eternal purpose, and those who seek after Him will find their place in that purpose, for He is no respecter of persons.
God being infinite and eternal the answers to God would be infinite and eternal as well. We each must seek Him as our path unfolds before us, and each of us can only see and speak out of the revelation that has been opened to us. I personally believe that Jesus the Christ was the Perfect Man, the Son of God, the fullness of the Godhead dwelling in bodily form. He, being the Beginning and the End, was the purpose of God in Man. God is a Spirit and the Father of Spirits, and His creation is spiritual. The Spiritual Creation of God is the purpose of God. One that He is All in All. Anything less than that is NOT the purpose of God, but may very well be the means to get there.
God's purpose is perfection and completeness, and in Christ Jesus we see this to the full. He was born of Mary a natural Man of flesh and blood able to die. He ascended into heaven a Spiritual Man in the full glory of the Father. This ascended Christ is the purpose of God. He is "the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation." All things were created through Him and for Him, and He is the end of all God's doing. All of God's purpose and plan is summed up in the Head of the body of Christ, and He is to have preeminence in all things; and your perfection and completion is found in Him. Christ in you is the hope of glory.
Death and resurrection is God's plan for creation. Death to the natural personal self and resurrection to the spiritual true Self: Death to the natural man and resurrection to the Spiritual Man. God creates a living-soul , and raises up a Spirit being. "What you sow is not made alive unless it dies", so out of death comes life. When Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they chose a destiny of DEATH. They became a seed sown in the realm of Death. Jesus then being sown into this same realm, a pure Seed, became the Way unto eternal life. Jesus the Christ drew All--all of the natural, sinful, carnal, creation--into Himself and took it into the fullness of Death. All that Death had to offer he took, and He passed through it, destroying it and its power. He was raised a Life-giving Spirit making the WAY that all mankind may be born of the Spirit and enter into the Reality of God.
God declared His purpose and plan in the beginning when He said, "Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion" -Gen. 1: 26. Nothing has changed in God's purpose, and the Man Christ Jesus is the plan whereby He has carried out His eternal purpose.
What Paul calls the "new creation" and John calls a "new heaven and a new earth" are the very plan and purpose of God from the beginning. This is the Spiritual Creation of God where He is all in all. "The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:" Isaiah 14:24, KJV. As God has thought, and as He has purposed, so it shall come to pass and it shall stand. Do you hear that? As God has thought, so shall it come to pass: As God has purposed, it shall stand!
What is it that God has thought? What is it that God has purposed? If we turn to the end of our Bible, Revelation 21 and 22, we see a picture of the completed work...the finished product. But as Isaiah has also said: God declares "the end from the beginning," so we can see the end of God's plan and His purpose in the beginning of His WORD.
"Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, `My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,'" Isaiah 46:9,10, NKJV.
GOD DECLARES THE END FROM THE BEGINNING. He declares from the ancient times things that He has not yet done. He calls things to be as though they were, because in His Mind they are; yet the visible manifestation has yet to take place. In the beginning of your Bible you can see the end of God's plan and purpose. What God has thought is written down in the beginning of the Bible; what He has purposed is there to be found. "It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out" -Proverbs 25:2, NRSV. God's plan and purpose is right there for us to see, but we must see, we must have enlightenment. With "the eyes of our understanding being enlightened" we shall see.
When you read and study the first two chapters of Genesis you see what looks like, and many scholars think so, two stories of creation. At any rate, you do see two accounts of creation. Some say it is the retelling of the same story of creation, i.e. two versions of the same story; some say it is two different creations pictured side by side. What I see in the first two chapters of Genesis is first: what God has thought, and what He has purposed. Secondly: you see His plan begin to take form and then the rest of the Bible is the out-picturing, the unfolding, of His eternal purpose until you have the "new heavens and new earth" manifested where God is All In All.
"The whole Bible is about the creation
of the new creation," and in Genesis chapter one through
chapter two verse three, the seventh day when God rested, we see
as God has thought, what He purposed...the end declared from the
beginning. You see a picture of the perfect Spiritual Creation.
Beginning in Genesis chapter two verse four, you see a second
account of creation, when the visible manifestation takes form
and the plan of God begins taking shape.
(If I lost you, you need to go back and read Genesis chapters
one and two. See how the first account of creation ends in chapter
2:3; and then the second account begins in 2:4. Chapter two should
really begin in verse four.)
I believe Genesis chapter one is the invisible Spiritual Creation as it exists in God, as He has thought, as He has purposed. When this invisible Spiritual Creation becomes visible, when "it has come to pass" that is what Revelation 21 and 22 is about...the "new heaven and new earth." Now understand that God does not make a new heaven and a new earth, rather, He "makes all things new." He doesn't make a new earth and heaven, He takes the one that exists and makes it new. The natural creation of Genesis 2:4 becomes the Spiritual Creation of Revelation 21, that was declared in Genesis one.
All of this is only possible through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Jesus lived out of the invisible realm of Spirit. He said, "My kingdom is not of this world"; He lived in the Reality of Spirit, not in the natural realm of "this world". That which was invisible to humanity was Reality to Jesus. He could see what the Father was doing in the Spiritual Creation, and He would then do that. What was in the Mind of God, in the Spirit; what the Father was thinking, that is what Jesus was about doing. Of His own self He could do nothing, but what the Father was doing, He let be done through Him.
The Light of His gospel is destroying the ignorance of man's darkness, and we are ascending up, being "caught up" into the Reality of this New Creation. The city, the state of God-consciousness, which has always been, is descending out of the heavens and the invisible Truth of Spirit is being manifested as the visible creation...is being made new. As the Word became flesh, so His WORD shall become visible, shall come to pass, and all flesh shall see it.
The God idea of Genesis one is manifested in Revelation twenty-one. The rest of the Bible is pictures of this Spiritual evolution. In all this we can see cause and effect. We can see that God (Cause), is bringing many sons to glory (effect), through this work of redemption: The raising up of the Spiritual Creation into visibility through Christ Jesus. Now, Jesus Christ is the Way of God's plan; He is the Truth of God's purpose; He is the Life of God's Reality: And our ONEness with Christ constitutes our ONEness with the New Creation.
In Genesis 2:4 we see the natural visible creation begin and the creation of man as a living soul, formed out of the dust, which is why the natural man must return to dust..."In Adam all die". But Jesus never returned to dust, even though He was flesh and blood as we are, because He put on His immortality. He ascended into the full Reality of Spirit and His body was changed. Paul said that we too are waiting for the redemption of our body...the redemption of the Body of Christ.
We are called to put on the New Man who is "CREATED ACCORDING TO GOD, in true righteousness and holiness; and who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him" -Eph. 4:24; and Col. 3:10. We were created in Christ Jesus and this is the Truth of who we are.
"However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual." 1 Corinthians 15:46. This is of major importance: The spiritual is not first! Even though God declared a perfect spiritual creation in the beginning, He made the natural one first. The natural creation was not perfect and complete, "very good", for it was subject to what we call "the Fall". If Adam was the "man in Our image, according to Our likeness" with dominion; then he was an absolute and total failure. Can you imagine God making a man in His exact image and likeness, and then this man fails at the first thing he is faced with. Fails to express the perfection of God his creator. This theory makes God look like a frail deity that can make a mistake when He created the man in His image. And then God would have had to come up with plan "B" in order to save man, but God didn't need a plan "B". Everything is exactly the way God purposed and planed it to be, though we are seeing through a glass darkly. We are the ones that do not yet see or understand what it is that God has purposed from before time.
The creation in Genesis one is a perfect creation and is spiritual, not subject to change. It is one that is perfect and complete and all is harmony. God is at rest in this creation, and it is "very good". It is a creation that is "blessed" and it is what God has done, permanent; established in the heavenly invisible realm of Spirit. It is a finished work, His work, and all is well, and shall be well; and nothing is going to change what God has done. The creation in Genesis 2:4, is created " in the day that the Lord God made the earth and heavens." Not the seven days of creation, but in "the day" God created it. "The Day" speaks of that epoch when God brought forth matter into visibility and form. It is not a 24-hour period; there is no 24-hour day in Spirit. The "seven days" of creation speak of the perfection and completion of the Spiritual Creation that exists in Spirit, in God; and no man, or devil, is going to change that.
The man in God's image is the Lord from heaven when He was manifested in the earth as Christ Jesus. The man of earth is Adam, and has always been a man of earth. Adam could have lived forever as a living soul with the presence of God visiting him, but that was not the plan. "There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." -1 Cor. 15:44. The natural body is the Adamic body of flesh, the spiritual body is the body of Christ..."to each seed its own body." There is a natural body and there is a spiritual body; and the natural body is sown in corruption and then raised in incorruption. Sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, raised in power. "So that just as we have been made like the material pattern, so we shall be made like the heavenly pattern." -1 Cor. 15:49 Phil. There is two realms of existence. There is a natural creation and a spiritual creation. And we are ascending in consciousness into the spiritual as our Reality by dyeing to our natural beliefs. We die daily to the natural, and are renewed continuously to the spiritual. Death to self--alive to God.
God's pattern for man has always been in the heavens, and we are to bear the image of the Heavenly Man. The eternal purpose of God is in the eternal realm of Spirit. "We know, for instance, that if our earthly dwelling were taken down, like a tent, we have a permanent house in Heaven, made, not by man, but by God. In this present frame we sigh with deep longing for our heavenly house, for we do not want to face utter nakedness. So long as we are clothed in this temporary dwelling we have a painful longing, not because we want just to get rid of these "clothes" but because we want to know the full cover of the permanent. We want our transitory life to be absorbed into the life that is eternal. Now the power that has planned this experience for us is God, and he has given us the Spirit as a guarantee of its truth." 2 Corinthians 5:1-5, Phil. We have a spiritual body from God, not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. The True condition of Man is in the realm of Spirit, the creation of Genesis one. God declared the end from the beginning.
The natural man is sown in death then the spiritual Man is raised in Life. God declares the end-man in the beginning, He then begins the process by first making a natural man and placing him in a garden. What's True of you is what is true of you in Spirit, but this natural man must first come into being so that the Spiritual Man may be raised up into the fullness of the Christ. First the natural then the spiritual: The natural man is born first, then when you are born from above the Spiritual Man is born. God has declared the end, who you are, from the beginning. Through Christ Jesus and the work of redemption we are created (born) in His image, according to His likeness; and we have His dominion. We are a kingdom of priests, sons in His image, that we may be to the praise of His glory. Glory to God!
All creation is waiting for this Truth to be manifested. This is why death and resurrection are the good news of God. It is death to the natural man and resurrection to the Spiritual Man. It is the bringing into manifestation of the New Creation; and Jesus made the way that we may follow through His finished work. We don't have to have a crucifixion like His, we must learn how to let His death be our death, so that His life will be our life. All that is true of Him, seated at the right hand of God, is true of us, we just don't believe it. Let there be Light!
In Genesis 1:26, God said: "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness: let them have dominion...". This is NOT Adam! Adam is created in Genesis 2:7, and Adam was only a type of the Man that was to come -Rom. 5:14. The natural man is a type man, and the Spiritual man is the True Man in God's image and likeness. Jesus is the head of this Man, and we who believe in Him are the living body of Christ. This Man is a many-membered Man, and is the "them" in "let them have dominion." "As the human body, which has many parts, is a unity, and those parts, despite their multiplicity, constitute one single body, so it is with Christ." 1 Corinthians 12:12, Phil. Christ is ALL--Christ is One! Christ is One Body--One Man. Christ constitutes Jesus as the Head and we as the body, one many membered Man. When God spoke about creating man in His image, He was speaking of Christ. Jesus was the natural manifestation of this Man in His image, and we as the body, with Jesus as the Head, are the spiritual Man in His image; yet this manifestation is still to come into fullness. The spiritual manifestation of the Truth of heaven will come to pass on earth; and we will see the "new heaven, and new earth," the New Creation that has always been true in the Mind of God...in His eternal purpose.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man (natural man) is perishing, yet the inward man (spiritual man) is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction (living life as a man of the earth realm), which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen (visible realm), but at the things which are not seen (invisible realm of Spirit). For the things which are seen are temporary (for a season), but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, NKJV.
Even though this natural realm lasts for seven thousand or seven million years it is only for a season. This natural manifestation is but the temporary condition until the fullness of invisible Spirit is brought forth into visible manifestation.
"But we should notice that the 'spiritual' does not come first: the order is 'natural' first and then 'spiritual'. The first man came out of the earth, a material creature; the second man came from heaven. For the life of this world men are made like the material man; but for the life that is to come they are made like the one from heaven. So that just as we have been made like the material pattern, so we shall be made like the heavenly pattern." 1 Corinthians 15:46-49, Phil.
The "heavenly pattern" is the Reality that is true in Spirit. It is Genesis chapter one. We are at a time when consciousness is being raised up to see the Truth of Spirit, the Reality as it is in God. This is where we find out who, and what, we are. In a moment, in a flash of recognition, we will be changed. There will come a moment when we will see Spiritual Truth as Reality and we will be changed. Truth is only absolute as it is in Christ--in God--and this is in Spirit. Spiritual Truth is Reality, and it will become our reality as we gain a consciousness of it. To whatever degree we attain this Truth to this degree we will manifest it. I believe the creation of Genesis one exists in Spirit just as it is recorded. But we must put on this Spiritual Truth for it to become Reality to us.
Christ is the image of God -2 Cor. 4:4. "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being," -Heb. 1:3 NIV. This is man in God's image for Christ Jesus is the "express image" of God; and it is in Him, in Christ, that we find our true identity. What is true of Christ is true of us, but we must believe. "As He is, so are we in this world." -1 Jn. 4:17. Do you believe? Do you believe Paul when he says "we are also His offspring"? Do you? "Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone--an image made by man's design and skill" -Acts 17:29. Christ is the Truth of individual being, of your individual being and mine. God has birthed us into the kingdom of His Son, and we are created in His image and likeness, and we have dominion just like the Captain of our salvation. Do you begin to see the scope of the big picture of God's eternal purpose to have a family of sons...Man in His image?
The risen Christ, the Faithful and True Witness, is "the beginning of the creation of God" -Rev. 3:14. And "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation." -Col. 1:15. Christ Jesus is the first, and the beginning, of what God is doing. He is the eternal purpose of God--man in God's image. Your natural life is like a matrix out of which you will be birthed into the Reality of your True Self that you are in Christ in God.
"Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining." 1 John 2:8, NKJV. It is true in Him and in you. That is why the New Testament is full of incredible statements, because the writers new they were TRUE. The New Testament is full of statements of Truth that most Christians put off as promises that hopefully we will attain someday in the sweet by-and-by; but in fact are the Reality of Being: Reality as it is in Christ in God, which is the only real Reality. This earthen reality we deal with is the temporal condition, and is not Reality, not spiritual Truth. There can be only one Reality. Only what is True in God can be Reality.
"Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells." 2 Peter 3:13, NKJV. Jesus made us a promise of a new heavens and earth, and when He sat down at the right hand of God He established forever that promise as FACT to those who will seek first the kingdom of God. Resting in His WORD, abiding in His Truth, is all that remains. Some MUST enter in! Will it be us, or do we leave it for another generation?
When Christ Jesus was raised from the dead the Spiritual Creation became a Reality in the earth. The invisible Truth of Spirit became visible in Christ when God raised Him from the dead. There was a complete manifestation of Truth. This same Truth is what is true of us, and the natural creation is waiting to be delivered from the bondage of this temporal corruption. We must line ourselves up with this Truth, come into agreement with it, for it to be manifest in our life. "Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind." Philippians 3:16, NKJV. We can only walk in what we understand, what we have a conscious awareness of; but we must press on toward the goal of the eternal purpose that was accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord and that we have in God.
Jesus, the spiritual lawgiver, said that the first and greatest commandment is; "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind" -Mat. 22:37. Moses, the natural lawgiver, gave us the law; "You shall have no other god's before Me" -Ex. 20:3. God is Power. God is the creative Power of all that is, and there is not any other Power over which God has to fight. Jesus fulfilled the law of commandants, but it still stands before us: Thou shall not believe in any other Power before Me. Thou shall embrace the only Power with all thy being. In His Holy Presence is the fullness of Power. If we would lay down all the other powers that we believe in, powers that we have been conditioned to believe, we would break through the barrier of "this world" into "My kingdom" and see the discords of the appearance world disappear.
To believe in other powers is to have other God's before Him. Every power/thing that we ascribe power to is an idol before God; and it steals from us our ONEness with Him. In Isaiah we read: "I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no other God." -44:6. Over and over again in Isaiah we find him declaring by the Spirit of God that God is the only Power, that there is no other God. "For I am God, and there is no other." "There is no God besides Me." "I am God, and there is none like Me." There is only One Power, One God, and He is within you. "Surely God is in you, And there is no other; There is no other God." -Isa. 45:14. There is no other God than the One that is within you . . . no other Power.
Of whom shall I be afraid if God is who He says He is? If I am in fear than I am not believing the scriptures. I have no consciousness of God within me; no consciousness of the Power within me. Fear not, "I have overcome the world." Do we believe? Jesus taught; "do not worry about your life" because He knew that there is only One Power; and those who would seek that One Power would find spiritual harmony in life.
Adam submitted to the belief in two powers--the lie--the power of good and evil, thinking it would make him like God. Mankind has been suffering under this delusion ever since. In trying to make himself God he believed in two powers, became double-souled, and fell from his conscious union with God--the One and only Power. Man is now under sin-consciousness, which is self-centeredness--a belief in a selfhood apart from God.
Jesus didn't have this problem. He did not see two powers of good and evil He only saw One Power, the Father within, and He lived His life out of that realization. Jesus didn't judge after the appearances of good and evil, but would judge after the Father's standard of what is right. Jesus knew who He was, who He was in, and who was in Him. He knew that it was the Father in Him doing the work, and that of His own personal self He could do nothing. He understood that the so-called powers of "this world" were not power, and that only God is power. "Jesus answered, 'You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above.'" -John 19:11.
In the presence of an illuminated consciousness, a Christ-consciousness, there is no other power. We see what looks like power, it hits us in the face and feels like power; but Jesus said to "resist not evil" for He knew it was not really power. Ignorance of Truth is what is destroying us, not some power of evil. If we believe in other powers, so it will be unto us. When we believe in a lie it is real to us until we find out that the whole time it was really a lie, an untruth. Lies and rumors have ruined people's lives for centuries, but when the truth is reveled the innocent are set free. Falsehood is the main reason for all the discord and error that takes place in our human experience. We must come to the knowledge of The Truth of Being in order to bring about a change in our experience. The more we recognize Truth the more harmony we will experience.
We are seated with Christ at the Father's right hand, yet we suffer from all the unbelief that we still have within our consciousness. The good news of death and resurrection in Christ is the power of God to save us from this world of sin and death. The power that death held over mankind was destroyed in the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. Jesus came to destroy the lie that had the power of death, and He did. By passing through all that death had to offer He abolished death, and brought Life and immortality to light through this good news.
Man has exchanged the Truth of God for the lie of a selfhood apart from God. He worshipped the created thing rather than the Creator who made him. He worshipped his own selfhood, believed himself to be a god, believed in two powers, rather than the One God of all. Now the Adamic mind is under all the temporal powers of good and evil, and until he grows up into the Christ in all things he will suffer under this belief.
To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. To some degree we all still suffer under this illusion of the carnal mind. The carnal mind is the mind of flesh. It is the natural mind of the Adamic race. The carnal mind does not believe in One Power, it believes in all the powers of the fallen consciousness. Duality is another term that speaks of what I am saying. This dual nature is but a belief in a selfhood apart from God that stems from the spirit of error. If we are one with God, and we are, then there can be no other selfhood than His Selfhood. The Spirit of Truth must reveal this to us because our belief in another selfhood is an idol that stands between us and our demonstration of Spiritual Reality. Like Solomon and his many heathen wives so we have many beliefs that are idolatrous to who we are called to be. Solomon allowed his wives to separate him from his relationship with God. He became tolerant of their idols, and in so doing, separated himself from his God. In the end Solomon did not know who he was, his consciousness of God was lost. Those foreign wives were a power other than God and it cost him greatly.
The principalities and powers of the human consciousness are temporal powers based upon the lie, and are not power in the presence of God. God is present in you, to will and to do, if you can acknowledge Him in the midst of you. To be spiritually minded is to see through the belief in two powers and see the One Power as God of all the earth. "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof: All the earth is Mine." Who shall separate us from the Power of the Christ? There is no other Power before Him, and He is within you, and within me.
"It is time to wake up to Reality. Every day brings God's salvation nearer than the day in which we took the first step of faith." -Rom. 13:11, Phil. It is high time to awake out of the sleep of the Adam dream. When we awake to God's standard of Right we will not miss the mark any longer. We need to wake up to this truth: "There is no authority except from God" -Rom. 13:1. There is no other Power than God in the midst of us, within our consciousness. "Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." Ephesians 5:14, KJV. The light of Christ is shining within our consciousness and decreeing that "I AM the only Power, I AM God Almighty."
"We know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that THERE IS NO OTHER GOD BUT ONE. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live. However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled." 1 Corinthians 8:4-7, NKJV.
Consciousness is defiled when it believes in another Power other than God. Out of your consciousness comes your expression of life. You won't commit any crime, or sin, that is not within your consciousness. It is not what enters into a man that defiles him, but it is what comes out of consciousness that defiles him. The reason that Paul said that the message of the death and resurrection of Christ is the power of God, is because he new that that message would change your consciousness and then it would then change your life.
The natural man is born in sin-consciousness, under the curse of the universal carnal mind. The spiritual Man is born into Christ-consciousness, with the blessing of the Mind of Christ. Unfortunately, putting on the New Man does not come as easy as the "old man" came to us. The carnal mind, which believes in two powers, is the mind of the human race. It is a universal mind that dominates all human thought. The carnal mind is death: "In Adam all die." The Adamic mind of the race consciousness is where all discord, falsehood, evil, sin, and death make its entrance into the human experience.
All the so-called powers of evil are not power in the presence of the Christ. Why? Because the Christ sees through the lie and sees only the Reality as it exists in God -- TRUTH. And it is knowing this Truth that sets us free. The Truth does not set us free of discord; it is KNOWING the Truth that sets us free. We have to know Truth like Adam knew his wife, and she gave birth to a son. Intimacy with Reality is what I call this: "As Truth is known (intimacy with Reality) you are set free." In our relationship with God we come to know Him as the ALL; the One Power, and this then dispels the illusion, the hypnosis, of the carnal mind. We must consciously recognize no Power but One...God. The consciousness of One Power is what does the work: It is what goes before us to make the crooked places straight.
Part of Paul's prayer in Ephesians one is that we would "know the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead; and set Him above all rule, authority, and power, and every name that is named in this age, and the ages to come." The Power that raised Christ Jesus from the dead is the Power that we have within us. The question now arises...Do we believe?
"The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the all-glorious Father, will give you spiritual wisdom and the insight to know more of him: that you may receive that inner illumination of the spirit which will make you realize how great is the hope to which he is calling you--the magnificence and splendor of the inheritance promised to Christians--and how tremendous is the power available to us who believe in God. That power is the same divine energy which was demonstrated in Christ when he raised him from the dead and gave him the place of highest honour in Heaven--a place that is infinitely superior to any command, authority, power or control, and which carries with it a name far beyond any name that could ever be used in this world or the world to come. God has placed everything under the power of Christ and has set him up as supreme head to the Church." Ephesians 1:17-22, Phil.
God is One; God is One Power; and that Power is Divine Energy. The divine energy of God is within us, within our very being, within our Christ-consciousness. If we would line up with that Truth, like the tumblers in a lock, we will open up and be set free from all limitation, fear, and all the evil that goes with a sin-consciousness.
There is only "one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all" -Eph. 4:6. And all that we suffer from is our lack of understanding, our ignorance of the Truth of being, for the human mind is devoid of Truth. Therefore, we must come into agreement with Truth and let it have its perfect work within our consciousness, and then in a moment, in a flash of inspiration, we will be changed. We will see who it is that we really are, and that there are not any other powers to which we have to submit ourselves. I am not saying that we won't have to deal with problems, we will, but we will have some REAL answers to those problems. We will set creation free. Jesus had problems. He had five thousand men, and their families, who were hungry. He also had a Real answer: A spiritual answer. Can you imagine what would have happened if He would have let the disciples deal with that problem in their human wisdom? One said: "I have two fish and five loaves of bread; but what is that among so many." That is as far as human wisdom, human power, could go. But Jesus' recognition of the One Power, the Father within Him, was the answer. Jesus didn't do it. He said he could do nothing, so I doubt He even tried. He just looked within Himself, saw the Father, the One Power, and then let the manifestation of Truth take place. They even had leftovers. Do you begin to see the Power that is within you? Do You?
We are alienated from the Life of God because of ignorance -Eph. 4:18. Sure, we have the Life of God within us, you can't be one Spirit with God and not have His Life, but we are not expressing that Life like we should. Jesus said that we are the "light of the world, the salt of the earth." We should be showing forth that light, that Light of Christ. Whatever you ask the Power in the nature of Christ He will give you. "We are one." Recognition of what's true of you in Christ, in your inward-Man, your true Self, causes your outward experience to change, or to be conformed into that image.
"In conclusion be strong--not in yourselves but in the Lord, in the power of his boundless strength." Ephesians 6:10, Phil. The power and strength that we have has nothing to do with us personally, it is in the Christ within us. We are "light in the Lord," and should "walk as children of the light." We shine as lights among a perverse generation. Do we? We should! And we can. We just need to "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God did not consider it robbery to be equal with God." -Phi. 2:5,6. My New Creation inward Man is equal with God by virtue of my being in Christ. As a man thinks....in his Soul so is he. When we begin to think and respond with the Mind of Christ, in our Soul will be Christ: And that Christ in our Soul will be expressing Himself as our individual being. We are joint-heirs with Christ, which puts us on equal terms with God. All that is true of Christ is true of me, but I have to believe without doubting for it to come into manifestation.
"Yet it is in him that God gives a full and complete expression of himself in bodily form. Moreover, your own completeness is realized in him, who is the ruler over all authorities, and the supreme head over all powers." Colossians 2:9,10, Phil. Your completeness is in Christ, the all power that is in you, and there is to be a full and complete expression of Him in the body. This will happen through you as you learn to relax in the Truth of being. The hope of the glory of God being manifested through you is Christ. When Christ OUR LIFE is manifested then we are manifested with Him, made visible, in the glory of God's magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, grace, and majesty.
We are told to "put on the new nature which, by constant renewal in the likeness of its Creator, leads to a fuller knowledge of God. In this new man there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, foreigner or savage, slave or free man. Christ is all that matters for Christ lives in all." Colossians 3:10,11, Phil. The new Self that we are is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created us. We are renewed (made new) in knowledge according to the image, and likeness, of Christ. Christ is all of who I am.
"I stand amazed at the fathomless wealth of God's wisdom and God's knowledge. How could man ever understand his reasons for action, or explain his methods of working? For: Who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been his counselor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For everything began with him, continues its existence because of him, and ends in him. To him be the glory for ever, amen." Romans 11:33-36, Phil.
"For this reason we also, from the day we first received these tidings, have never ceased to pray for you and to entreat that you may be filled with a clear knowledge of His will accompanied by thorough wisdom and discernment in spiritual things; so that your lives may be worthy of the Lord and perfectly pleasing to Him, while you exhibit the results of right action of every sort and grow into a fuller knowledge of God. Since His power is so glorious, may you be strengthened with strength of every kind, and be prepared for cheerfully enduring all things with patience and long-suffering; and give thanks to the Father who has made us fit to receive our share of the inheritance of God's people in Light. It is God who has delivered us out of the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us into the Kingdom of His dearly-loved Son, in whom we have our redemption--the forgiveness of our sins. Christ is the visible representation of the invisible God, the Firstborn and Lord of all creation. For in Him was created the universe of things in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, thrones, dominions, princedoms, powers--all were created, and exist through and for Him. And HE IS before all things and in and through Him the universe is a harmonious whole. Moreover He is the Head of His Body, the Church. He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, in order that He Himself may in all things occupy the foremost place. For it was the Father's gracious will that the whole of the divine perfection's should dwell in Him. And God purposed through Him to reconcile the universe to Himself, making peace through His blood, which was shed upon the Cross--to reconcile to Himself through Him, I say, things on earth and things in Heaven. And you, estranged as you once were and even hostile in your minds, amidst your evil deeds, He has now, in His human body, reconciled to God by His death, to bring you, holy and faultless and irreproachable, into His presence;" Colossians 1:9-22, Wey.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." -Rev. 22:13.
Several weeks ago I was asked if I was still leaning towards the Finished Work. With a smile I answered: "more than ever." Today, more than ever, do I see the revelation of the Finished Work of Christ. God is not going to do something that He has already done and He is Done! "Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made." Genesis 2:1-3, NKJV. This question that was asked to me caused me to examine myself to see if I am in the faith. Yes, I am in the faith, but what is the faith? We are told by Paul to "Watch, stand in the faith, be brave, be strong." -1 Cor. 16:14. We are to watch and stand in the faith, to be strong in it. With this came the realization of what has been a part of my dilemma: I have been leaning towards the Finished Work and I should be standing in it--living in it as the Reality of my life.
When we first hear the Christ message we must except it by faith. Then, hopefully, we will come into a realization of that WORD that we have received. We must stand in faith till that which we hope for is manifested as our experience. It takes great strength to stand in the faith of a Finished Work. To see and proclaim that it is finished takes great strength while all the while the evils of disparity and hopelessness, and the wretchedness of the carnal mind, wreck havoc in "this world." But even though a thousand may fall victim to the lie at one hand, and ten-thousand at the other, it will not come near the Man who has his Being in Christ.
"The natural man does NOT receive the things of the Spirit of God...nor can he." Not His love; not His Grace; not His life; not His truth; not His light; nothing, not even His protection. The human being is rejected in his Adamic nature and cannot receive the benefits of God; for God is Spirit, and only the Spiritual Man can receive the things of God. This is why we are told to "seek first the kingdom of God" and all the things--that the natural man is seeking for in his self-abilities--will be added to us. We receive of God by grace, but we must be attuned to the Truth of God in order to receive His Good. We can only live in what we understand, and the Truth we understand--realized Truth--is what does the work for us. Truth goes before us to make the crooked places straight, in this way we live by grace. Out of absolute confidence and faith in the Finished Work can we live a life that is above the status quo of "this world".
"'They shall not enter My rest,' although the works were finished from the foundation of the world." -Heb. 4:3. The Adamic mind will not enter into the Rest of God...neither can he. No "man, whose breath is in his nostrils," can receive of the truth of being in Christ. Even the born again man who still lives out of the carnal mind of Adam cannot live in God's Rest. The works were finished from the foundation of the world, but man is a self-for-self being and as long as he is self-centered he will not enter God's Rest...although the work is finished.
"Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, "So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.'" And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world." Hebrews 4:3, NIV. There is a finished work of creation that has been established from the foundation of the world, and only those who believe will enter into that Rest. The word foundation means to lay down or "to conceive...the injection or depositing of the virile semen in the womb", so we can see then that from the very conception of the world God's purpose was established, His work was finished. But, now, it is only by going back and seeing how it was finished that we can enter into His rest.
Jesus Christ, in His finished work of redemption, has abolished death and brought enlightenment of life and incorruption through the gospel: Through the message of the cross--the death, burial, and resurrection--Jesus Christ has brought to our understanding the abolishment of death, and a life of incorruptibility. "For He saved us and called us with a holy call, not in accordance with our desserts, but in accordance with His own purpose and the free grace which He bestowed on us in Christ Jesus before the commencement of the Ages, but which has now been plainly revealed through the Appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus. He has put an end to death and has brought Life and Immortality (Incorruption -literal) to light through the Good News," 2 Timothy 1:9,10, Wey.
1). God has saved us. 2). He has called us with a Holy calling. 3). Not by our own works. 4). For His own purpose. 5). We were given this gift of grace before time began. 6). It is now known through the work of Jesus Christ. 7). Christ has vanquished death. 8). He brought enlightenment: (a) of Life, and (b) incorruption, (c) through the gospel.
1). To understand what it is to be saved you must look to the Greek word SOZO. Sozo means to be "safe," to be made whole; to be saved from suffering, from disease; to be healed, or restored to health. It is a word of restoration. To me, to be saved is to be restored to the Father in a right relationship that He has never given up on. A good picture of this would be the story of the prodigal son. The prodigal was saved when he made the decision to return to Father's house. The Father was always awaiting his return, and didn't hold any of his wrong doings against him. The whole time it was the prodigal's own consciousness that kept him away. Until that time he was lost in his own sin. He was reaping what he was sowing. Full salvation came when he was restored to Father's house and was given the ring and the robe, and his rightful position of a son. "Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved": whoever calls upon the nature of the Christ and returns to Father's house will be restored to favor. By turning from our own way and course of life and believing on the Way of Christ Jesus we are restored to a right relationship to God our Father. We then begin the journey to Father's house where we are restored to our full sonship in Him.
2). Now that we have seen that we who have believed have been saved, restored to a right relationship to God, we can see that He has called us with a Holy calling. "God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord." 1 Corinthians 1:9, KJV.
We who are saved have been called into "the
fellowship of His Son". The Holy calling that has been bestowed
upon us is the high "upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
The "fellowship of His Son," and the "upward call
of God," is none less than a call to grow up INTO HIM in
all things. We are called to ascend into the fullness of the Christ.
We are saved and called for a purpose, and that purpose is that
He may bring many son's to glory through the redemptive work of
Jesus Christ. There is a call of sonship, and that call is one
that is being worked out in your life if you are following on
to know the Lord. Sonship is a manifestation of the Son in the
son's--the full and complete adoption into the God family. The
expression of the Christ, the Son of the living God, is to be
expressed, and manifested, in a redeemed people who have "let"
the Lord have His way in their life. A people who have left the
self-centered consciousness caused by the fall of Adam, and have
ascended into the Christ-consciousness, which is Self-for-others.
This is Sonship. "For ye have not received a spirit of servitude,
leading back into fear, but ye have received a spirit of sonship,
whereby we are exclaiming----Abba! Oh Father!" Romans 8:15,
Roth.
"But, when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth
his Son, who came to be of a woman, who came to be under law,--
That, them who were under law, he might redeem, that, the sonship,
we might duly receive;--" Galatians 4:4,5, Roth.
"Marking us out beforehand unto sonship, through Jesus Christ,
for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,"
Ephesians 1:5, Roth.
The fellowship of His Son is those who fellowship in what is true of the Son, those who judge with "righteous judgment" what is true in you and in me. It is those who are willing to look through the lie of the Adamic sin-consciousness to the truth of individual being in Christ. What is true in the heavens must become true in the earth, but in order for this to happen, someone must be willing to see what is true in Spirit and declare it in the earth. Someone must take what is Christ and show it unto us through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit of God. Speaking the truth in love we can expose the lie of carnal thinking and help others to see through this matrix to the Reality of Spirit. This will change the world. If only we can believe without doubting. If our eye be single our whole body will be full of light: If we can come to the singleness of Spiritual Truth, manifestation of that Truth will be expressed as body.
"Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." Romans 8:30, NKJV. Called, justified, and glorified; three stages of growing up into Him in all things. You who have been called into the fellowship of His Son have also been justified and glorified. This is the True condition of the inChristed sons of God...can you believe? You can't make yourself believe any of these incredible truths of God. It takes revelation to see them, and realization to live in them. The revelation is here, and I believe the realization is beginning to dawn in consciousness; and I look forward to the demonstration of Truth, of Reality, in the lives of the Body of Christ as she is conformed into the image of His Son. This is sonship, and this is a Holy calling. One thing we must remember: it is not about you, it is about Him.
3). Now that we've been saved, and have heard the call to sonship, we learn that it is not by our own works it is a gift of Grace. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God," Ephesians 2:8, NKJV. There is not anything you or I could do to deserve this wonderful call of God; the only thing we can do is to "believe in Him whom He sent" and that is all. The only thing God accepts from us is belief - faith in what He has done. It is His good pleasure to give us the kingdom, if we can receive it. "Nothing is impossible to him who believes." Do we believe? Can we receive?
We have grown up under the human belief that "nothing is free" or "it is to good to be true," or one of the many variations of that. I had a guy call me on the phone the other day and offer me a "free vacation" that I only had to pay 30 percent of. In the human world it may be true that nothing is free, but in the kingdom of God, all is free. That is what Grace is all about. God, through His Son Christ Jesus, paid all the price that would ever need to be paid. The benefits of the kingdom of God are now free to all who will receive of it. "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:32, NKJV. Grace is one of those "unsearchable riches of Christ" that we have, and may take a lifetime of contemplation to comprehend. But we are saved "not by works, least any man should boast." Religion teaches that we must work to be saved, but in reality we do works because we are saved. We cannot work for God's favor, that is something that we must accept by grace, and grace alone. Working for your salvation causes self-righteousness and that is absolutely rejected by God. But the righteousness that is accepted by God comes from God to those who will believe in Him whom He sent. Grace is a free gift of God that can't be worked for, it only comes through faith in Christ.
Faith without works is dead, but faith by works is just as dead. You cannot work for God and earn your salvation or any other benefit. All of God's goodness is free to anyone who will receive of it through faith in Him. Do not think that you can appease God in any way...you can't...no man can. All that is of the Adamic race is rejected, and only that which is of Christ is received. This is why our own works (self-effort) is rejected by God like Cain's works were rejected. There is only one thing that God requires of us, and that is to offer to Him what He has given to us. The slain Lamb is the work that God accepts--the ministry of Jesus Christ.
4). Now that we have found out that we are saved; called with a Holy calling; not by our works; we can come to the understanding that it is all for His own purpose. I would like to take you through Ephesians 1:3-12, and show you all this in there, but I will only hit the highlights and let you search out the rest for yourself.
As one writer has said: "we must move from a self-centered understanding of the gospel, to a God-centered understanding." All this that is true of us in Christ is not for us...it is for Him. God didn't bless you for you, He blesses you for Himself. God is fulfilling Himself in and through you if we will "die daily" to personal selfhood and let Him complete the work that He has began in us.
In Ephesians 1:4 we see the phrase: "He chose us in Him," and He did this "before the foundation of the world." Now God didn't do this for your sake, but for His. Look at verse 5, "having predestined us.....TO HIMSELF.....of HIS WILL." "To the praise of the glory of HIS GRACE" -vs. 6. "IN HIM we have redemption through HIS blood.....riches of His Grace." -vs. 7.
If we can back away but for a moment and see from His viewpoint, we would see that all things were created for Him that He might express Himself throughout a vast infinite universe, a never-ending expression of Himself. Sure we receive of His goodness, but is not for us, it is all for Him. All things were made FOR HIM. He is Self-for-others, and in order for Him to be fulfilled He has to give Himself to others. For Him to be complete He gives Himself to others. His perfection is in expressing Himself in and through you that He might fill all in all.
"Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which HE PURPOSED IN HIMSELF," Eph. 1:9, NKJV. He purposed in HIMSELF that we would be "to the praise of HIS glory" in His Son Christ Jesus. What else can I say? It's not about me, it's about Him expressed as me. God's creation is for Him, but we are the benefactors in this relationship of ONEness that we have in Him.
If you planed to have a family you didn't have children for the children's sake. You had children for your sake. You don't say "I hope we have a boy," or "I hope we have a girl" for the child's sake. You say that for yourself. But our children benefit from this relationship. Each child is an individual expression of the parent. And you are an individual expression of God, through His Son Christ Jesus.
"We are HIS workmanship," we are the work of God. We are His family, we are His children, we are His sons and daughters; and He will dwell in us, and walk among us, and He will be our God, and we shall be His people. For we are His good pleasure and we are created for Him to be fulfilled. "In Christ we have been given an inheritance, since we were destined for this, by the One who WORKS OUT ALL HIS PURPOSES ACCORDING TO THE DESIGN OF HIS OWN WILL." Ephesians 1:11, Phil. The work of creation is for God and he is working out His plan according to purpose. We just need to believe in and except this gift of Grace He has given us.
5). We now come to understand that we were given this gift of Grace before time began. Before anything was God established His eternal covenant of grace as the means whereby He would conceive the universe in righteousness. Everything that was created was created through an understanding of God's eternal purpose, and grace is the animating factor in all of God's endeavors.
Grace was established before creation and is not an afterthought, for grace is a part of God's character. Grace was not plan "B" in God's eternal purpose: Grace was set in motion before the conception of the Ages. God set forth and established this free gift of grace from the very foundation of time and space. You could say that God, the Master Builder, put up a deposit of Grace, before He began His work of creation, that would be the exact means by which all His plans would be carried out to the infinitesimal detail. God had fully considered what it would take to bring His plan to full manifestation, and He had everything in place to bring this about.
"But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you" 1 Peter 1:19,20, NKJV. Here we can see an absolute picture of the Grace of God that was established before the world was conceived. The Messiah was the sacrificial lamb that was chosen and foreordained before the foundation of the world. This was God's deposit of guarantee that what He has purposed He will complete. God's gift of grace was given before time began. "All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Revelation 13:8, NKJV.
From the very foundation the Lamb was slain and this is our surety of Grace that God will complete the work He began in us from the very beginning of time itself. "We speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began." 1 Corinthians 2:7, NIV. The wisdom of God, which is Christ, was established by Grace before any of the created works of God. "But we speak the mysterious wisdom of God, which has been till now concealed; which God declared before the time of the ages, should be spoken to our glory." 1 Corinthians 2:7, LO.
The unveiling of the Mystery, the eternal purpose of God, was manifest through the work of Jesus Christ, and is for our glory. We are to be to the praise of His glory, and it will be so, when we come to the full knowledge of the glory that has been given unto us through the Finished Work of Christ. The Mystery isit is finished! It has always been a mystery to humanity that the work is finished and we must rest in His work.
"Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved." Ephesians 1:4-6, NKJV.
In God's free gift of Grace we are chosen in Him to the call of our sonship according to His purpose, His will, and to the praise of the glory of His Grace. All of these Truths will take much contemplation and meditation for them to become a realization in our lives.
"Now we know that for those who love God all things are working together for good--for those, I mean, whom with deliberate purpose He has called. For those whom He has known beforehand He has also pre-destined to bear the likeness of His Son, that He might be the Eldest in a vast family of brothers; and those whom He has pre-destined He also has called; and those whom He has called He has also declared free from guilt; and those whom He has declared free from guilt He has also crowned with glory. What then shall we say to this? If God is on our side, who is there to appear against us? He who did not withhold even His own Son, but gave Him up for all of us, will He not also with Him freely give us all things?" Romans 8:28-32, Wey.
What is there to separate us from the Grace of God that was freely given to us in the beginning of time? "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38,39, NKJV. The love of God and the grace of God go hand in hand. Love is in His right hand and grace is in His left: And the Truth of who we are in His purpose is beginning to dawn in our understanding, and we know that when we see Him as He is in us we shall be like Him. This is what His Grace is all about.
6.) All of this is now known through the work of Christ Jesus. All that I declare to you, and all that I say, is only understood and known through the Finished Work of Jesus Christ. Many persons have studied and dug around in these deep things of God. And many of these persons have ended up with the wrong man on the throne. Without an understanding of the work being accomplished through Christ, and for God, they have ended up thinking that it is they who are a Son of God; that they are the Christ; that they are Gods. If there is one thing that I pray you will understand in what I am writing it is this: "I of my own self can do nothing." I am no God. Only God is God, and He is God within me.
Can you fathom that Jesus said that He could do nothing of His personal self. He knew that of his own personal self, His human self, could do NOTHING; He knew that it was the Father within Him that was doing the works. He did not even speak of His own: "My doctrine is not mine" He said. "If I bear witness of Myself, My witness is not true." If we bear witness of our personal selfhood, our witness is not true. There is nothing of the natural man that is going to be raised up to sit with Christ in the heavens. This is a major part of the problem that we have; we think it is us who is seated with Christ, and it is not us (personal self), it is the New Creation Man that we are in Him that is seated with Him.
The "us" has been done away with in the death of Christ. And the new creature, that we are, is raised with Him. This is why Jesus came. He came to give us life, and by dying He destroyed the very thing that was holding us in bondage from life--death. Then when He was raised He opened up a new way of Life that is available to us through faith. Paul was given the understanding of the death of the "old man" and the raising up of the New: "how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already," Eph. 3:3. Paul then wrote down his revelation for us to understand so that we would come into our own revelation of Christ; whereby we would see that we were crucified with Christ, and raised up into a newness of Life through this Finished Work of Christ.
All that is true of us is true by virtue of the work of Christ and what that means to us. It's not about us, it's about Him; and in the seeing of Him we see who it is that we were created to be in Christ. The work of Christ is a birthing of the New Creation from the old creation. From the natural man, "whose breath is in his nostrils," to the spiritual man who has his being in Christ.
"What you sow is not made alive unless it dies," and God has sown in us the Seed of His life; and through the death of His Son we find the death of our natural Adamic man, and then the Life of our spiritual creation is made available through His resurrection Life, but we must believe.
Through the work of Christ we must see the absolute nothingness of our personal selfhood that is apart from God, a branch that is withered and dies; and come into the Christ-consciousness of who we are in Christ in God. The Father is in Christ, Christ is in the Father, and we are one in Christ in the Father; and they are One in us. Only can this be true through the Finished Work of Christ.
7.) We now come to the thrust of the matter: He has abolished death. Christ Jesus has rendered inoperative the one having the dominion of death by passing through death. Christ has freed us from the Adversary of our soul, who has held his power of death over us, by destroying him in his own backyard. We who have been held in bondage our whole lifetime by the fear of death have been set free from death in the Christ of God. "Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He (Christ) Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." Hebrews 2:14,15, NKJV.
Christ has abolished death and it is only our fear of death that keeps us in bondage to it. The word abolished means: "to render idle, unemployed, inactive, inoperative; to cause a person or thing to have no further efficiency; to deprive of force, influence, or power; to cause to cease, put an end to, do away with, annul, abolish." This is a strong word, and one which will take some understanding to comprehend.
"Manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ; who has, indeed, vanquished death, and brought life and incorruptibility to light by the gospel:" 2 Tim. 1:10, LO. CHRIST JESUS HAS VANQUISHED DEATH. This is one of the most powerful statements I can think of: That death is now inactive, rendered idle, unemployed; deprived of force and power. Think of how awesome that is. For if this is true then what is it that we see going on every hour of every day in this world of sickness, sin, and death?
Paul tells us in his first letter to the Corinthians that "the last enemy to be destroyed is death." Then he tells us in his second letter to Timothy that Christ "has abolished (destroyed) death." Which is true? Both: Christ has destroyed him who had the power of death by passing through death, death no longer has dominion over Him. We are incorporated in this work of redemption, and the last enemy of death is destroyed as we ascend in our understanding of the absolute Truth of the gospel. You shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH (you know) shall set you free from the old law of sin and death. As long as we believe the law of sin and death we shall be under it. But when we come out from among them and are separated unto God alone, and His law of the Spirit of Life in Christ, we shall be free indeed. When we know the Reality of Spirit as the reality of us, we shall be free from the bondage of the fear of death.
The death that Paul is speaking of here is not physical death but is a condition of death. It is this old law of death and corruption that we see in operation in our lives, and it eventually brings about physical death. Everything of Adam must die, it all must pass away. Not under any circumstances shall the old Adamic man live forever. "In Adam all die." All of Adam dies and must die, but in Christ ALL shall be made alive. Death is fully destroyed when Christ is fully put on. Whether it happens in this life or in the next, it will happen. The Truth of God's word will come to fruition.
It is possible in this life to experience less and less of the dominion of death. Christ has abolished death and paved the Way whereby we can live a life that is free from sin and death. As we become God-centered through our Christ-consciousness we will be lifted more and more into the Reality of Spirit and experience the Life of God in Christ.
The principle that must be remembered is: "But each one in his own order." The order is first: Death is abolished in Spirit. Second: Death is abolished in Soul. Thirdly: Death is abolished in Body. Spiritual death is the first to go, and we should know that this is an established fact in the finished work of Christ. When Christ Jesus was raised from the dead spiritual death was abolished forever as an absolute fact. Next we must eliminate death and its fear from our soul. With the renewing of our mind, and with the ascending of our consciousness into spiritual truth, we will restore our soul from the lie of the carnal mind into that mind that was in Christ Jesus. And there we will find our freedom from fear and the bondage of corruption that has enslaved the human race. From there we shall be changed, and our body will be fashioned after His glorious Body. We will put on our body that is eternal in the heavens, and then we will say, "O death, where is your sting? O hell, where is your victory?"
But beloved Brethren of God, do not put off to the future what is truly yours today. The future is a thief, as well as the past, we must live in the NOW of God. We must acknowledge everything that is in us in Christ, and forget those things that are behind. Don't put off till tomorrow what is yours today. Today is the day of salvation, today if we will hear His Voice in the midst of the garden that we are. Today is our salvation nearer that the day when we first believed. Look up into the Spirit, for you redemption draws near to you from there. Look within to the kingdom of God and see the glory of the Lord transforming your thoughts, and lifting you higher into the Reality of the Spirit. Walk in the reality of Spirit and you will not fulfill the lie of carnal thinking. Set your mind on the things that are true of you in Christ in God. Acknowledge Him in, and as, all your ways and see the fruit of Spirit come to fullness. Abide in His WORD and let His WORD abide in you, and you will see the salvation of the Lord in your life. May the God of peace set you apart for His eternal purpose, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be brought to completion in Him. -So be it.
8.) The reason for the finished work of Christ is to bring enlightenment of life, and incorruption, through the gospel. Through the good news of Christ and His work of redemption we should be receiving light on Life and incorruption. We can have a life of incorruption through an understanding of the gospel of Christ. "I am telling you the truth as a Christian man--it is no falsehood, for my conscience enlightened, as it is, by the Holy Spirit adds its testimony to mine--" Romans 9:1, Wey.
"I came that you might have life" is the teaching of the Master. "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." He is the true light that lights every man coming into the world. But man must believe for it to be appropriated in their life. Mankind must receive the True Light, the Life that only comes from Christ. This Christ is the Way and the Truth and the Life to all mankind. But all mankind have not yet received this truth. To them who do believe He gives them the right to become sons of God, birthed by faith alone in what God had done through His Son Jesus Christ. Will you believe? Will You?
"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption." 1 Corinthians 15:50, NKJV. Our incorruption is not on our human terms. As natural men of the earth we are in our corruption, but as we put on our spiritual identity we will find ourselves clothed with incorruption -- and we will be changed.
"For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come." 1 Timothy 4:8, NKJV. God awareness, God centeredness, Christ-consciousness, has a promise of the present life that we are now living, as well as that which we will enter into in the Ages to come. But let us concern ourselves with that which is right here, right now, and move on into a greater understanding of who we are; of who God has made us to be, and all that we can be, through the Finished Work of Christ.
"He has saved us from all that is evil, He has called us with a Holy calling; Not because of any of our achievements, works, or anything that we of our own selves have done, but for His own eternal purpose He has done this. Before time, or the Ages began, He planned to give us in Christ Jesus the grace to achieve this purpose. But it is only since the revelation of Christ Jesus that the method has become apparent. Christ has rendered inoperative (deprived of force) Death, and has now, through the death and resurrection of Jesus, opened to us all the illumination and the shinning of light on the possibilities of a life that is free of corruption. God has given us life and incorruption through the good news of Christ Jesus." RMV.
The message of Christ must become more than just something that we learn, it must become who we are. "Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."" Mark 9:23, NKJV. Can you believe?
Ascending into the infinity of God while holding on to the revelation of who Christ is within me, the I that I am, is truly like diving down into the deep end of the ocean with the magnificent whales that plunge the depths of the deep. Descending into the depths of consciousness holding onto the I of God will take you into the deep things of God. It can be the most exhilarating experience of your life, but it can also be dangerous to those who have not been rooted and grounded in the Finished Work of Christ. Eventually you will have to come back to shore, and it is only through your understanding of Christ that you can find your way. Without a clear understanding of the work of Christ one may get lost in the deep revelations.
You can soar in the heavens like a flying eagle, but it is only a joy ride unless you first go down into the depths of the ocean like a giant whale. It is down in the deep where you come to grip with the unreal nature of the appearance world. This is where you find out that all that you experience with your physical senses is but the temporal condition of man's carnal mind. The whole of the natural picture is but the false identity, and wrong interpretation, of the carnal mind. When we come to the place where we can see through the appearances of "this world" we will then see Reality as God has declared it to be.
Jesus was such a Man who could see through the appearances of the human condition. By judging with righteous judgment He could change the situation and bring about Spiritual Truth in the lives of those who were receptive to Him. He knew that as it is in heaven, so it is in the earth, and then the manifestation would take place. With His understanding of the Father within Him, nothing was impossible to Him.
The Word declares what is true of us in Christ, we have just not yet understood the finished mystery of redemption to the degree in which we have broken the mesmerism of the carnal mind of man, and the bondage of corruption which enslaves us. The man of flesh has built a "system of belief" that permeates human consciousness, and we must dispel this "system of belief" through our descending into the depths of the death of Christ, and then ascending into the Reality we have as New Creation spiritual beings.
It is only by seeing the Christ that you can change, or even expect to change; but that is what this life is all about....a chance to change. Our life in this natural realm is a chance to change from a natural man in Adamic sin-consciousness, to a spiritual man who has his being in Christ: From a man of the earth to a man of the heavens.
This earthen body was sown in corruption and shall be raised in incorruption. We who believe are being changed from glory to glory into the image of Him who created us. Think of the change that takes place from the time the sperm of the man enters the egg of the woman until the time the baby is born. Tremendous! From the time a couple of cells become one to a full functioning human infant is a radical change of form. Then think of the change that takes place from infancy to adulthood. The states and stages of consciousness the human goes through, as well as the physical changes. The change that takes place in the human condition is only a picture of the change that should go on within our consciousness.
The next type of change that takes place in our life is the chance to change from a natural man to a spiritual man. Most persons who consider themselves "spiritual" believe themselves to be a human having a spiritual experience. But the truth of the one who is born from above is that of a spirit-person having a human experience. Gaining the awareness of being spirit with a soul and having a body does not all happen at once in our lives. Yet, our true condition has always existed in the Mind of God.
The Seed that is Christ has entered human consciousness and a transformation of epic proportions is on the horizon. To those who look for Him He will appear as the Reality of who we are. Christ is ALL and in all, yet the outworking of this truth is still unfolding in consciousness.
The Father within was the divinity of Jesus, as the Christ within is the divinity of man - the I AM that I am. God and man are not separate from one another but are One. "I and the Father are one" is the Christ-consciousness that we must ascend into to where we understand that we are not separate from God. Nor are we separate from the Life of God that is flowing through us just like the life force represented by the sap is flowing through a tree is not separate from it. I am just that point of visibility where He, the Creator, comes into visibility, into manifestation...a man-ifestation of God.
I do not have any divinity of my own personal self, my little "self" or ego that thinks it is a god. That belief in a personal selfhood apart from God was crucified with Christ when He drew all consciousness into His Self and there died to it once and for all. He demonstrated the powerlessness of the personal self by passing through death and then being raised from the dead. He, thereby, demonstrated the eternal life force that was available to all mankind; to those who would believe and be born of the Spirit.
Man believing in his own personal selfhood, his own godhood, lost his union with divinity that he was created to express. Through the work of Jesus Christ we have become all that God has declared us to be in the beginning when He purposed man to be in His image and likeness. In Christ we are created into a living hope of Being; we have become the express image of His Person, and now we must awake to it. "Awake you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."
We are One with Christ; One with Spirit, One with the Father; we are ONE. All that the Father has belongs to the Son. All of His divine nature that He has is mine to walk in, not for personal gain, but that God may be glorified. The divine nature is not money or "things" of this world, it is the character of God expressing through you that the world may know and believe in God. The Christ, the divinity of man, is waiting recognition--believe in Him that He may be your ALL in all. Then you can work the works of God.
Christ is the absolute truth of individual being: The Reality of our Spiritual substance is Christ. Christ is the True Light that lights every man. We put on Christ, the Truth of individual spiritual being, through the mind of Christ. Through the renewing of our mind to His Mind a transformation occurs--a transformation of consciousness. When consciousness is changed the effects of this change will be seen in our outer expression.
Christ is ALL and in ALL, but without recognition of this Most Holy Truth the Reality will never be manifested or expressed. All that Christ is I am; All that Christ is you are. All that God has made us to be we are in Christ. Christ alone IS the Reality of being. Christ is all and in all. CHRIST IS ALL!
