We build our own Oak Hand-Quilting Frames and know them to be the best!
The hand-quilting frames we build are Red Oak side frames, with three canvas-covered aluminum roller bars, aluminum gears and latches. We chose aluminum as it is both strong and light weight for the size, yet -- and most importantly! -- it is still rigid enough that it won't bow inward like wood or PVC pipe.
The length of the aluminum poles is a fixed measurement at 60", 100" or 120". Many folks buy one set of frames -- such as the 120" set -- then purchase the 60" canvas-covered bars with cross braces. That way they can quilt any size top desired.
All our hand-quilting frames come with instructions for easy assembly and directions for pinning in a quilt. Replacement canvas and gear/latch sets are also available. To order your set, let us know the width size -- 120”, 100” or 60” -- for the roller bars.
