years of age. He married Sarah Woodfin in Buncombe Co. N.C., abt 1806. Sarah was born in Buncombe Co.
N.C. 2-20-1788. Sarah died 1856 in Obion Co. TN, at 68 years of age.
Family lore says John ran away because he did not get along with step Mother Morning Stoggins.
