Phil Morgan, Arkansas Hangglider Pilot Phil Morgan (THAT'S ME!) has and easy to read home page (even using an iPhone) and lists a lot of great links. Ouachita Mountains Hang Gliding Mike Kelsey has put a lot of effort into getting accurate information about hanggliding and paragliding here in Arkansas and Oklahoma. His list of mountains in the Ouachita mountain range (a low range in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma, south of the Ozark Plateau) include Mt. Nebo and Mt. Magazine which are the two sites that I fly the most. River Valley Paragliding Britton Shaw is a powered paragliding instructor teaching out of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He also flies paragliders off on several of the local mountains. Give him a shout if you think that you might consider paragliding instead on hanggliding. Unfortunately, the hanggliding opportunities here in Arkansas are limited but they are good in eastern Oklahoma. Check out this great video of Britton giving a class in Conway Arkansas. Oklahoma Paragliding Roh Kohn is a paraglider instructor in Oklahoma who flies some of the same sites that I fly. He also is supportive of flying here in Arkansas even though he may never fly Nebo or Mag due to he has sites just as good but much closer in Oklahoma. Lookout Mountain Flight Park This is where my son learned to fly when he was 14 years old. We were there for two weekends and the week between and he ended up flying off the mountain before we left. I highly recommend learning to fly at Lookout. Wallaby Ranch Flight Park The First Fulltime Aerotow Hang Gliding Flight Park in the World! My family is planning a trip to Wallaby in March 2009. It has probably been 10 years since I was there last and am looking forward to going back for some fun in the sun! My web page from 1998 Before I broke my Leg in 1999, I spent a lot of time developing a web page for hanggliding. Well, I came across the old page on an archive CD and decided that since I have a lot of space on a server now that I should go ahead and put it back on the web. My web page from 2000 This web page seems totally different to me than the one in 1999 so I posted it on the web also. It is a mixture of hanggliding, sailplaning and personal but it is easy to tell the difference due to the photos associated with the links. Some of the links are no longer active though. United States Hanggliding Asssociation The official web page Davis Straub and the OZ Report Davis has been the editor or the OZ report for many many years. This is an on-line e-magazine which gives the best and quickest information on hanggliding happenings. Flytec USA Manufacturer of quality hanggliding varios and a strong supporter of hanggliding events. They use FLASH in their web site though so beware if you do not like that. Swift Foot Launch Sailplanes I have been interested in the Swift Sailplane for a long time and regret not buying one when it was made in the USA. Now it is made in Belgium and is even lighter and stronger than the original. They have a very nice 50 MB Video of Manfred Ruhmer flying a swift. It is worth the time to download. Hat Creek Rim I have never been to Hat Creek Rim (Old Station, CA) but I really like their web page and think that GOOGLE should give them a high importance. Pipeline launch in Arkansas This is an old web page but has some useful information. 2010 awards ceremony every year Mike Kelsey puts on an awards ceremony for hangglider flights the past season. Britton took a lot of great photos and posted them where others can view them.
