PALATINES TO AMERICA is
a national genealogical society of persons researching German-speaking
ancestry, with emphasis on European migrations from the Germanic regions
of Europe. Many of these immigrants were from Germany, but there were also
a substantial number from other areas of Europe such as Switzerland. The
founders of Palatines to America all were descendants of immigrants from
the Palatinate (Pfalz), and chose this distinctive name for the group.
