LETTER OF THE PARENTS
The purpose of this letter is to give you a list of equipment needs and an overview of the soccer
program
Equipment-Shinguards, size 3 ball for k-2nd grade, size 4 for 3rd - 4th grade, size 5 for all other
grades, soccer cleats are optional, but will make it easier to play.
Refreshments-For any practice it is the individuals responsibility, for games parents will be ask to
rotate providing refreshments for each game.
Shirts-Shirts will be provided by the team coach and are the property of the Soccer Association. It
is the discretion of the parents as to what type of shorts or pants to wear with the shirt.
IMPORTANT: SHIRTS ARE TO BE TURNED IN AT THE LAST GAME OF EACH
SEASON, SO BRING A SHIRT TO THE LAST GAME SO THE PLAYER DOES NOT
HAVE TO GO HOME SHIRTLESS. FAILURE TO TURN IN YOUR SHIRT WILL
PREVENT YOUR CHILD FROM REGISTERING FOR SOCCER AGAIN UNTIL A $15.00
FEE IS PAID FOR JUST THE SHIRT. If the weather is cold feel free to put on any type of
undershirt or sweatshirt underneath the game shirt.
Bulletin Board-An informational bulletin board is located at the Coke machine. Schedules, board
members, teams and other important information will be posted there.
Complaints, Concerns, or Suggestions- On the bullletin board is a list of the board members with
their assignments please provide that person with your comments. For example, complaints about
a coach should be voiced the person in charge of coaches.
Bad weather-Call the INFOLINE (394-3600 extension 56) to find out if games are canceled.
Generally, if it is raining, thundering or lightening less than 30 minutes before a game the game will
be canceled. Since our games are played in the Fall and Spring there will be days we play after it has
rained earlier in the day.
Practices-The amount of time a team practices during the week or during the season will be
determined by the coach.
Amount of games a week-On average your child will have about two games a week Most games
are played on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. When we have an abundence of children we will
have games on the other days of the week, so that we can finish the season in 6 weeks.
Injuries-Should a child become injured while playing soccer please report the injury to the President of the soccer association, and seek medical attention.
