Welcome to the Old Fort Gun Club activities page. Since 1960 the Old Fort Gun Club, Inc. has provided a safe and fun place to exercise our right to shoot firearms.

Cowboy Shooting Club Link
Cowboy Action Shooting is a multi-faceted shooting sport in which contestants compete with firearms typical of those used in taming the Old West: single action revolvers, pistol caliber lever action rifles and double barreled side by side, or pre-1899 pump or lever action shotguns. Hunter Pistol Silhouette Club Link
Hunter Pistol Silhouette is one of the most popular of the NRA Silhouette games. Targets are stell silhouettes of chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams. Each shooter has a choice of different classes and may receive awards for winning their clas. Matches are held each month. If you have questions contact, Carrol Swain Match Director (501) 965-7694.
Practical Pistol Club Link
IPSC sanctioned matches are held on the third Sunday of each month. Practical pistol is exciting and challenging, as well as being one of the fastes growing shooting sports n the United States. Courses of fire utilize many aspects not found in other disciplines, such as movement by the shooter, drawing from the holster, moving targets, multiple targets and freedom for the shooter to solve problems presented by the match design. Sporting Clays Club Link
Sporting Clays is a somewhat new game. It is shooting a small number of targets usually 10, at numerous stations. The targets may be close or far. They are thrown in every imaginable direction, from straight up to straight at you to rollong on the ground. Civilian Marksmanship Program Club Link
CMP (also known as DCM)matches are held each month. Any military style, opn sight, rifle can be used. Your gun should be capable of firing 50+ rounds during the match. For this reason, hunting rifles will not hold up. The match director can assist you if you have any question about specific rifles. Some of the more popular rifles used ar M1 Garand, AR15 and M14's. Special matches are held during the year for SKS shooters. By shooting in the CMP match, you can earn qualification to purchase a M1 Garand from Uncle Sam.
