I attend church regularly at Bells Chapel Church of Christ. Most of my family goes there, too, including my favorite aunt Emma Brock, who owns a wonderful store north of Atkins, and my other aunt Ann, who works at the Tastee Burger and the Atkins High School cafeteria part-time.
I go to school five days a week so I might as well enjoy it. I am a very hyper individual and I smile and laugh hysterically a lot. All of my friends call me 'crazy', but I'm just having fun. My two best friends, Josh Andrews and Brittany Swain, and I drive around and have a blast. We also work together at a local grocery store (well, we did, but he got fired and I retired!). This is a picture of Josh, Brittany, Natasha Harris, Heather Bratton, and myself. We try to get together and have a group outing to the movies or bowling every month or so. The other picture is my other group of friends: Melissa Knoedl, Lisa Hodge, Tina Virden, Tori Johnson, Felicia Fletcher, Liz Romine, Crystal Smith and of course, myself. We played basketball together until this year, and we've experienced many crazy nights with each other.

My biggest dream is to become a physician. Ever since I went to G.T. camp at ATU and made a styrofoam model of a hospital, I have wanted to become a doctor. I began wanting to be a pediatrician after I was hospitalized in Arkansas Children's Hospital for a blood disorder in the fourth grade. I went to M.A.S.H (Medical Applications for Science and Health) camp at Sparks Medical Center in Fort Smith this summer, and I learned a lot about the makeup of the hospital, different doctors everyday jobs, and also made a couple of good friends.
I make pretty good grades and am trying to get a scholarship to Harding University, Oklahoma Christian University, or David Lipscomb University next fall. I want to go far enough away from home to be somewhat independent, yet be able to drive back when I need or want to. Ever since I was in kindergarten, I have longed to go away to college, but now that it is so close, it is kind of scary.
I love to stay busy, so I'm in almost every club available: Senior Beta Club, FBLA, FHA, Science Club, Spanish Club, and of course the Computer Club. I'm also in the Atkins High School Marching Band. I am the majorette captain and first-chair in the keyboard percussion section. There is a Baton Twirling Homepage if you're interested.
I have always been involved in some sort of sports, even though I wasn't the best. I played from t-ball all the way up to the high school softball team. I also started playing basketball in the 5th and 6th grade and played up until last year. I started playing tennis in the 9th grade, but I didn't make the team so I went to several tennis camps and made the team last year. I started off losing my first couple of matches, but by the end of the season my partner and I were district doubles runners-up. Here are a couple of tennis links:USPTA and Tennis Magazine On line.
In the rest of my spare time I like to read historic romance novels. You may think that's pretty cheesy, but I've learned a lot about the history of America, Native Americans, and the Civil War. I have also played the piano for 11 years. I even won an instrumental trophy at the Pope County Fair. Here's a sheet music link for all you piano players out there:Encore Music.
I also have a few political beliefs, such as immigration reform. There is an organization called the Federation for American Immigration Reform that shares those beliefs and has lots of information about the many aspects of immigration in today's society. I even hope to one day retire from doctoring and become a US congresswoman.
