Bee Bly, 84, of Clarksville died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Countryside
Manor Nursing Home.
He was a Baptist, retired coal miner, son of the late Brown Low and
Sarah Pass Bly, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Belle
Russell Bly, and one daughter, Barbara Jo Ann Bly.
He is survived by three sons, Larry B. Bly of Pine Bluff, Gary Bly of
Quartzsite, Ariz., and Jerry Bly of Arkdale, Wis.; one sister, Esther Hightower
of Lamar; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at the Jamestown Assembly
of God Church with Rev. Leo Villines officiating.
Burial will be in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Barron, George Findley, Bill Bly, Homer Qualls, Claud Bly, and Brian L. Clinton.
Clyde C. Hays, 92, of Clarksville died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at Johnson
Regional Medical Center.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Claude Pulaski and
Girtie Hardgraves Hays, member of the Hays Chapel Methodist Church where
he served as Sunday school superintendent for 17 years, 50-year member
of Franklin Masonic Lodge No. 9 and Clarksville Chapter 172 Order of the
Eastern Star, member of the United Mine Workers of America, and a retired
coal miner.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Murvel Hays; one daughter, Clydette
Terry of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Carrie Qualls of Clarksville
and Selma Netzley of Fresno, Calif.; four grandchildren, June Guliuzza
of Rapid City, S. D., Shelley Coleman of Golden, Colo., Celia Garcia of
La Junta, Colo., and Ryan Terry of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Hays Chapel Methodist Church
with Rev. Frank Clemmons officiating.
Burial was in West Mount Zion Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke
Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Orville Guinn, Virgil Phillips, J. D. Jacobs, Spike Feikema, Joe Fowler, and Argie Kendall.
Mrs. Eula Inez Cole, 82, of Clarksville died Wednesday, June 9, 1999,
at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and daughter of the late
Pierce and Elizabeth King Holman.
Survivors include her husband, John W. Cole; two sons, Pierce Cole and
William Cole, both of Lamar; two sisters, Juanita Cole and Ruth Sims, both
of Clarksville; three brothers, Donald Holman and Morris Holman, both of
Dallas, Texas, and Cecil Holman of Sikeston, Mo.; four grandsons, Kirwin
Cole and Sherman Cole, both of Lamar, and Bart Cole and Brian Cole, both
of Clarksville; and four granddaughters, Rachel Pippin of Gassville, and
Trixie Cook, Christie Cole and Cari Cole, all of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, June 11, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev.
Glenn Newton officiating. Burial was in Holman Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Holman, Wayne Gregory, Jack Howell, Floyd White, Nolan Thrift, and Dale Wood.
Hanvy Joie Timmons, 92, of Paris died Monday, June 7, 1999, in Fort
Smith.
A son of the late Dave and Lizzie Gallaher Timmons and brother of the
late Charlie Timmons of Clarksville, he was a retired coal miner and dairy
farmer, associated with the United Mine Works of America, member of the
Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was preceded in death by one daughter,
Martha Lou Tillery.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred McKinney Timmons; one son,
Bobby Timmons of Paris; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel
in Paris with burial in McKendree Cemetery at Subiaco.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
James Harlin Barnett, 54, of Clarksville died Saturday, June 12, 1999,
at his home.
He was a Baptist, retired auto body employee, and son of the late Sam
and Eva Warren Barnett.
He is survived by two sons, Richard W. Barnett and Joseph Barnett, both
of Denver, Colo.; four sisters, Maxine Robinson of Hillsboro, Mo., Lola
Cherry of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Emma Bohannon of St. Louis, Mo., and Sue
Richards of Blue Grass, Iowa; and three brothers, Gerald Barnett of Palestine,
Ill., Charles Barnett of Hampshire, Ill., and Arlis Barnett of Woodstock,
Ill.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Monday, June 14, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev.
M. G. Robinson officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Barnett, Charles Barnett Jr., Gerald Barnett, Alan Barnett, J. L. Bohannon, and Carl Kirshberger.
Mrs. Jean Camillia Miller Halstead, 72, of Scranton died Thursday, June
10, 1999, in Little Rock.
She was a daughter of the late Fredrick and Minnie Miller and widow
of Raymond Halstead.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane M. Stang and Jean I. Sulls, both
of Clover, S. C.; two sons, James F. Duke of Las Vegas, Nev., and John
W. Duke of Bogata, Texas; one stepson, Jerry R. Halstead of Wisconsin;
one sister, Marion Buczko of Chicago, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Ware
Chapel Cemetery at Scranton with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements
were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mike Eckstein, Tom Stang, Troy Rowe, Jason Rowe, Joshua Stang, Brian Stang, Chuck Halstead, and Mark Cavanaugh.
Katelin Marie VanDenBerg, 5, of Altus died Wednesday, June 9, 1999,
in Little Rock.
She was a student at Franklin County Learning Center.
Survivors include her parents, Ronnie VanDenBerg and Christi O'Neal
of Altus; one sister, Kristyn O'Neal of the home; maternal grandparents,
Larry and Shirley O'Neal of Charleston and the late Margaret O'Neal; paternal
grandparents, Mary and Harold Boren of Altus and Ronnie and Chris Grigsby
of Subiaco; paternal great-grandparents, Alice VanDenBerg of Altus and
the late Robert VanDenBerg; and nine aunts and uncles.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel
in Ozark with burial in Liberty Cemetery at Altus.

Mrs. Martha Lou Bly, 72, of Oakley, Calif., died Wednesday, June 9,
1999, in Oakley, Calif.
She was a former resident of Clarksville, daughter of the late Leo and
Norma Casey Young, co-owner of Bly's Produce since 1964, a member of the
Lighthouse Christian Center in Pittsburg, Calif., and was preceded in death
by three brothers, Bill Young, Bob Young, and Paul Young.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Bly; three daughters, Sharon
Reams of Russellville, Sandra Engler of Concord, Calif., and Glenda Caldwell
of Knoxville; two sisters, Grace Warren of Colorado and Nora Phillips of
Clarksville; four brothers, Andrew Lee Young of Russellville, Kenneth Young
of Hagarville, and Wayne Young and Roy Young, both of Lamar; eight grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, June 14, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev.
Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Pollard Cemetery at Dover.

Mrs. Ruby Jean Holman, 54, of North Bend died Saturday, June 12, 1999,
at her home.
She was a native of Lamar and daughter of the late Lloyd Curtis and
Edna Inez Childers Fetters.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Holman; one daughter and son-in-law,
Tammy and Ron Ross of Coquille, Ore.; three sons and daughters-in-law,
Tony and Mary Holman of North Bend, Terry and Candy Holman of Philomath,
Ore., and Eric and Michelle Holman of Coos Bay, Ore.; five brothers, Laudell,
Curtis, Steve, and Joe Fetters, all of Clarksville, and Earl Fetters of
Lamar; six sisters, Mary Woodard, Linda Hutchins, Faye Smith and Brenda
Gilbert, all of Clarksville, Arnetta Scruggs of Hernandu, Miss., and Cathy
Denn of Port Orford, Ore.; five grandchildren, Tim and Tracye Martin, and
Shawn, Dillon and Justin Holman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Myrtle
Crest Memorial Gardens in Coquille, Ore., with Rev. George Daggett officiating.
