Winford Huckaby, 84, of Paris died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, in Fort Smith.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a retired coal miner and
Well's Furniture Store employee, and was preceded in death by one grandson
and one great-grandson.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Agnes Thorton Huckaby; three daughters,
Beverly Johnson of Fort Smith, Shelby Holzman of Ozark, and Pat Gleghorn
of Henderson; one sister, Ruth Street of Paris; eight grandchildren; and
16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Roller Funeral Home
in Paris with burial in McVay Cemetery at Paris.
Pallbearers will be Gary Johnson, Steve Johnson, James Gleghorn, Brian Holzman, Jacque Morris, and Daniel Gleghorn.
Violet Patrick, 73, of West Fork, brother of Addie Burnett of Oark,
died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at the Fayetteville Nursing Center.
He was a native of Friley, son of the late Frank and Ellen Hoskins Patrick,
farmer, Army veteran of World War II, attended Living Faith Pentecostal
Church of God in Fayetteville, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars,
and was preceded in death by his stepmother, Hannah Patrick, and one sister,
Magaline Patrick.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Opal Sheperd Patrick; one son, Ronald
Patrick of Springdale; two daughters, Tina Patrick of Pettigrew and Tammy
Patrick of Fayetteville; one stepson, Ed Atkinson of Pettigrew; one stepdaughter,
Betty Omohundro of West Fork; one brother, Melburn Patrick of Delaney;
one other sister, Billie Dewberry of California; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Living Faith Pentecostal
Church of God in Fayetteville with Rev. Buel Curtis officiating.
Interment was in the Williams Cemetery near Pettigrew under the direction
of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
Active pallbearers were Mike Fanning, Clois Ellison, Leslie Skaggs,
Mike Self, Sammy Atkinson, and Johnie Atkinson.
Honorary pallbearer was Maelisa Omohundro.
Rowland K. Sparks, 72, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at St. Johns Medical
Center at Joplin, Mo.
A native of Lamar, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Sparks,
a welding supervisor for D W Dart Truck Manufacture, member of the Grove
United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Betty
Mae Bradley Sparks, one brother, Don, and one sister, Nina.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan Harris of Kearney, Mo.; two granddaughters
and spouse, Reagan and Michael Martin of Kearney, Mo., and Alissa Harris
of Kearney, Mo.; one great-granddaughter, Sierrah Martin of Kearney, Mo.;
one brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Judy Sparks of Delaware; one sister,
Chloia Greer of Bernie, Mo.; and one sister-in-law, Velma Sparks of Mexico,
Mo.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Holman Cemetery north of Lamar with Rev. Gorman Daniel officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hinderliter-Woodard Funeral Service of Grove, Okla.
Mrs. Mary Emma Hardin, 93, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999,
at Paris.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late Mark Lafyette
and Mary Gertha Rockmore Harkreader, widow of Jimmy Hardin, graduate of
Clarksville High School, attended business college in Little Rock, and
a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church where she served as clerk
for 70-plus years and had 56 years of perfect attendance at church.
She is survived by one nephew, James Mark Harkreader of Paris; one niece,
Patsy Coston of Montgomery, Ala.; and three great-nieces.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the First Baptist Church
with Dr. Robert Brown officiating.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral
Home.
Pallbearers were Doyle Witherspoon, Billy Simpson, Joe Johnston Jr.,
Arvin Massengale Jr., Virgil Knight and Steve Sink.

Kenneth Ray McCarley, 58, of Lamar died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999.
A native of Lamar, he was a son of the late Thomas (Buck) McCarley and
a supervisor for Big Mack Tank Truck Company.
He is survived by one daughter, Gina Lax of Knoxville; one son, Brian
McCarley of Knoxville; mother, Ellen McCarley of Lamar; two brothers, Tom
McCarley of Conway and Roy McCarley of North Little Rock; and one grandson,
Thomas McCarley of Knoxville.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church
with Rev. Gary Blair officiating.
Burial was in Lamar Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral
Home.

Bobby D. Lee, 62, of Hot Springs died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at his
home.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Audie and Juanita
Phillips Lee, a 1955 graduate of Clarks-
ville High School, Air Force veteran, and a retired car dealer.
He is survived by three daughters, Laura Pifer of North Little Rock,
Lisa Renfrow of Little Rock, and Le Anne Freeman of Houston; two brothers,
Bill Lee of Van Buren and Mike Lee of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Christine
Pifer of North Little Rock and Robert Lee Renfrow and Julie Renfrow, both
of Little Rock; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with
Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Larry Cummins, Mark Freeman, Rick Hastings, Robert
Renfrow, Mike Pursel, and Carl Hill.
