Luther (Johnny) Cagle, 55, of Hartman died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at
his home.
He was a Baptist, Navy veteran, member of the Spadra Fire Department
and was born at Altus to Luther Lee and Jewell Mayse Cagle.
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberley Sampley of Ozark; two sons,
Kevin Lee Cagle of Mulberry and Kristopher Kyle Cagle of Tulsa, Okla.;
two sisters, Katherine Willis of Ozark and Diana Kendall of Dover; and
three grandchildren, Jessica Sampley, Jennifer Sampley, and Amy Cagle.
Graveside service and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21,
at Highland Cemetery at Ozark with Rev. Jim McElhaney officiating. Arrangements
are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Pallbearers will be Ricky McKinney, Charles Cagle, J. R. Cagle, Johnny Eldredge, Jake Hill, and Wesley Willis.
Larry A. Hall, 54, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001.
A native of Clarksville, he was a graduate of Clarksville High School
and the University of the Ozarks, a welder and son of the late Geneva Brown
Hall.
Survivors include his widow, Jody Hall; parents, Claud and Ladema Hall
of Clarksville; one sister, Janis Malloy of Clarksville; and three brothers,
George Hall and Craig Hall, both of South Haven, Miss., and James Hall
of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with
Rev. Sam Howell officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Rick Ward, Donnie Carroll, Tommy Brandon, Marty
Reynolds, Bob Hency, and Don Curtis.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Don Kinman, Mike Williams, Donnie Clinton, Doug Callahan, and Randy Callahan.
Leslie Ellen Williams of Willows, Calif., died Friday, Nov. 2, 2001.
A native of Shirley, she was a former resident of Clarksville, graduate
of Lamar High School, and the widow of Rev. Henson K. Williams.
She is survived by four children and spouses, Joe Gene and Molly Williams
of Orville, Calif., Sharon and Gerald Corbitt of Greenbrae, Calif., Laura
and Jon Remmerde of Grants Pass, Ore., and Daniel and Traci Williams of
Chico, Calif.; one sister, Laura Lawrence of Roseville, Calif.; one brother,
Farris C. Privitt of Lamar; and seven grandchildren, Brian Lee Williams,
Robert Dow Williams, Christopher Corbitt, Juniper Remmerde, Amanda Remmerde,
Morgan Ashley Williams, and Cameron Williams.
Funeral was Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Willows Baptist Church with Rev. Eugene
Overstreet officiating. Burial was in Willows Cemetery under the direction
of F. D. Sweet Funeral Director.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Ottis Troy Dickerson, 82, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001,
at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a son of the late James W. and Lydia Fleming Dickerson, Baptist,
and oil field employee.
Survivors include his widow, Jewell Patterson Dickerson; one daughter
and son-in-law, Sue and Joe Linn of Bee Branch; two sons and daughters-in-law,
J. T. and Ruth Dickerson and Bob and Juanita Dickerson, all of Clarksville;
five grandchildren, Debbie Bartel of Sallisaw, Okla., Michele Estep of
Clarksville, Michael Don Dickerson of Emporia, Kan., Travis Linn of Bee
Branch and Leanne Waddle of Damascus; and 12 great-grandchildren, Jacob,
Megan, Jason, Emily, Sadie, Shelby, Caleb, Cadon, Lindsey, Mason, Savannah,
and Cassidy Jo.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev.
Arch Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Thell F. Riddle Sr., 53, of Hartman died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at
his home.
A native of Van Buren, he was a son of the late Theron and Judy Carter
Riddle, construction employee, paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division
during the Vietnam War, and a member of the Coal Hill Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his widow, Beverly Gale Poyner Riddle; two daughters,
Heather Ashley of Lincoln and Candy Riddle of Coweta, Okla.; one son, Thell
Riddle Jr. of Natural Dam; two stepsons, Billy Carter of Ozark and Brian
Carter of Blossom, Texas; three sisters, Brenda Jarrad of Arizona, and
Mary Burrows and Katie Cook, both of Chester; two brothers, Jeff Riddle
of Susanville, Calif., and Robert Riddle of Litchfield, Calif.; four grandchildren,
Allison Riddle and Sarina Riddle, both of Natural Dam, Bridgette Riddle
of Alma, and Billy Riddle of Coweta, Okla.; and eight stepgrandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel
with Rev. Stephen Maczko officiating. Burial was in Hall Cemetery at Natural
Dam.
Woodrow Cowell, 89, of Lamar died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at Johnson
Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Alonzo V. and Bell Plumley Cowell, retired
sawmill employee, Baptist, World War II Army veteran, recipient of four
Bronze Star Awards, Purple Heart Award, Good Conduct Medal, European African-Middle
Eastern Theatre Campaign Ribbon, and three Overseas Bars, and was preceded
in death by his wife, Eva Eunice Cowell.
He is survived by four daughters, Wanda Haggard of Ozone, Sharon Baney
of Oilton, Okla., Mary Johnson of London and Eva Dale of Lamar; one son,
Ray Cowell of Altus; three sisters, Wilma Self of Clarksville, Elta Cochran
of Sand Springs, Okla., and Mable Thiebes of Salem, Ore.; 15 grandchildren;
and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev.
Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Lamar Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Haggard, James Cowell, Charles Ray Bruton, Clayton Johnson, Andy Haggard, Daniel Johnson, and Jarrod Parker.
