Anthony H. (Tony) Rackers, 83, of Russellville, father of Phyllis Boswell
of Lamar, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Stella Manor Nursing Center.
A native of Taos, Cole County, Mo., he was a son of the late Bernard
Joseph and Anna Christine Krummen Rackers, a retired foreman for International
Shoe Company, member of St. John's Catholic Church, and a World War II
veteran of the U. S. Air Force.
Survivors include his widow, Goldie Irene Rackers; one other daughter,
Kathleen Austin of Russellville; three sons, Anthony Rackers of Jefferson
City, Mo., William (Bill) Rackers of Owasso, Okla., and Michael Rackers
of Germany; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Shinn Funeral Service in Russellville.
Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at St. John's Catholic Church
with Rev. Ernest Hardesty officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial
Park.
Pallbearers were Billy Joe Wesley, Bob Jacimore, Pete McNulty, Jerome
Whitbey, David Yacko and Ralph Horner.

Eula B. Warren, 88, of North Little Rock, formerly of Clarksville, died
Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001.
She was the widow of Orville Warren and daughter of the late William
G. and Fannie Stovall Laneer and was preceded in death by four brothers,
W. Y. Laneer, John R. Laneer, George D. Laneer and Thelbert (Lynn) Laneer;
and one sister, Letha Westover.
She was a retired office manager for Warren Lumber Company, a member
of Immanuel Baptist Church, 53-year member of the Lydia Bible Class, member
of the NLR Women's Club, Good Earth Garden Club and NLR Council of Garden
Clubs.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in law, Pat and Ralph Johnson;
three grandchildren and one grandson-in-law, Michael Warren Johnson, Leigh
Anne and Michael Shipman, and Amy Carole Johnson; and one great-grandchild,
Tyler Austin Shipman.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home of North Little Rock with burial in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
Hal A. Sebastian, 74, of Ozark, father of Kathy Taliaferro of Clarksville,
died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
He was a native of Cuewe, Va., and retired director of employees benefits
with Standard Oil Company.
Survivors include his widow, Sally Sebastian; two other daughters, Laurie
Sebastian and Sandy Hoffmann, both of Piscataway, N. J.; and three grandchildren,
Tom Hoffman, Sally Dunn and Cruiser Sebastian.
Cremation was under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Ila M. Sanders, 75, of Altus died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at Mercy
Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
She was a native of Scranton and daughter of the late Henry and Edith
Young Doom.
She is survived by two daughters, Kay Smith of Dover and Darlene McEntyre
of Mulberry; four sons, Larry Sanders of Dickinson, Texas, Keith Sanders
of Memphis, Tenn., Tom Sanders of Racine, Wis., and Garry Sanders of Altus;
20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Burial was in McKendree Cemetery at Subiaco under the direction of Shaffer
Funeral Home of Ozark.
Pallbearers were Kenny Sanders, Bobby McEntyre, Robert Sanders, Larry Sanders, Larry Houge, and Jerry Sanders.
Noble Edward Williams, 78, of Alix, brother of Laura Sisk of Coal Hill,
died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
A native of Alix, he was a son of the late Johnny and Dora Elizabeth
Patterson Williams, a Protestant, and retired Cargill employee.
Survivors include his widow, Ethel York Williams; two daughters, Mary
Radford of Ozark and Thelma Sarten of Alix; five sons, Riddle Williams
of Paris, Alfred and Johnny Williams, both of Ozark, Kenneth Williams of
Denning and Arvel Pete Williams of Alix; three stepdaughters, Norma Nichols
of Chickasha, Okla., Geraldine Wyers of Ozark and Bernice Greenfield of
Alix; three other sisters, Lois Ellison of Ozark. Neoma Grayson of Denning,
and Wanda Rice of Altus; one brother, Paul Williams of Ozark; 19 grandchildren;
25 great-grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel
in Ozark with Rev. Sammy Alverson officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bryan, Richard, Tony and Russell Williams, Charles Wilson, Tommy Radford, Kevin Chancey, Steve and Jimmy Sarten, Jimmy Dwayne Wilson and Virgil Kessler.
Troba Askins Kolb, 98, formerly of Pine Bluff and Clarksville, died
Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at the England Manor Nursing Home in England.
She was the widow of Willie Loyd Kolb, daughter of the late John and
Emma Reed Askins and was preceded in death by two sons, Willie Kolb and
John Kolb.
She attended school in the Lone Pine Community, was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Sherrill, homemaker and seamstress.
Survivors include two sons, Don Kolb of White Hall and Bobby Kolb of
Waco, Ga.; two daughters, Emma Lee Rushing of England and Bess McCoskey
of Ashdown, 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001,
at the Lone Pine Cemetery with Dr. Ronald Rushing officiating. Burial was
by Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Virgil Hansel Day, 85, of Heath, Ohio, formerly of Johnson County, died
Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, in Heath.
He was the son of Virgil M. Day and Attie Dake Day, attended schools
at Bethlehem, Harmony and Clarksville; was a veteran of World War II and
spent several years working overseas.
He is survived by his widow, Anis Cowan Day; two daughters, Jerri Ellen
Powell and Jackie Bell, both of Ohio; his stepmother, Oleta Day, of Clarksville;
and two sisters, Louise Chronister of Russellville and Freda Pearson of
Clarksville; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousin.
Funeral arrangments are incomplete.
Larry Lee Hicks, 17, of Hagarville died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at his
home.
He was a member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church, junior at Lamar High
School, where he was a member of the basketball, football and baseball
teams, and an employee of Harvest Foods.
Survivors include his parents, Rebecca L. Hicks of Hagarville, Larry
Lee Childress of Clarksville, and Anna and Gary Robbins of Hagarville;
grandparents, Scott and Louise Hicks of Hagarville and Quinn Sanderson
of Clarksville; great-grandmother, Reba Morland of Clarksville; one brother,
Guy Robbins of Russellville; three sisters, Melanie Hicks and Magen Hicks,
both of Clarksville, and Tina Robbins of Hagarville; several aunts; and
one uncle.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church
with Rev. Gary Blair officiating.
Burial will be at Annie's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox
Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Clayton Whitmore, Josh Hicks, Josh Owens,
Jeremy Holt, Donnie Hicks, and Jeremy Hicks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Chesser, Bob Mosley, Grant D. Williams, and members of the Lamar High School basketball team.
