Council approves 10-day extension on Square work

The Paris City Council approved a 10-day extension of the deadline for completion of the Courthouse Square renovation project during a special meeting last week.

The project was supposed to be substantially complete on Saturday. The 10-day extension pushes the completion date back to Tuesday, Oct. 9.

This is the second extension given the general contractor, Circle G Construction of Ratcliff, on the estimated $1 million project. In August, Council members voted unanimously to grant a 30-day extension. The project deadline was originally Aug. 29.
