Bob and Maroline were married in Long Beach CA in March '58. Currently you can hear her preach and teach at http://princeofpeaceradio.net and Bob (that's me) is the author, poet, and webmaster of this Gospelsmiths.com website.
A spoonful of honey helps the medicine go down, so please don't get riled at the "Smith" touch of humor found in many of the pages. Isa 54:16 says:"Behold, I have created the SMITH that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy". [God's written words are] "More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Ps19:10. Hence the coined name "gospel-smiths".
The Smith's are fully persuaded the Lord has called them "for such a time as this", to minister His Word as part of the 5-fold ministry, Eph4:11, and they continue to follow wherever and whenever He leads. These are exciting times when the "bride" is anticipating the appearing of the groom! She hails from Hamilton TX, and Bob's a native Californian where he attended Wilson High in Long Beach before joining the Navy. The destroyers USS Rush (DD-714), USS Putnam (DD-757), USS Keyes (DD-787), and the aircraft carriers Badoeng Strait, Princeton, and Ticonderoga, were all his "home away from home" during those Navy days. His duties ranged from ordnance to electronics, from helicopter crewman to Crypto Officer, and he retired as a Mustang Lieutenant after twenty years active duty.
.....The family (3 girls, 2 boys) settled first in Colorado Springs, and afterwards moved to West Texas where Maroline earned her R.N. degree. Later, following an awakening to the stunning and over-whelming truth of God's Word and an eye-opening baptism in the Holy Spirit, they both enrolled and subsequently graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center near Tulsa.
- They had been in Hopewell, Jamaica about a year when the Lord told them He was sending them to Italy and to Greece. What followed after that was a remarkable two-year experience of "walking where Paul walked" in the final chapter of Acts, and being led by the Spirit to encourage the European brethren. Click here for the prophecy Maroline received as we flew space-A to NAS Sigonella, Italy.
They established the PRINCE OF PEACE CHURCH in Foreman, AR 71836 in the spring of '89, and a few months later Maroline began her daily 30 min. radio broadcast over KNBO New Boston, Texas (1530am) which continues even now. She's the devoted evangelist preacher, and he's the pragmatic psalmist and teacher who loves to escape regularly to the tennis courts. Before his '05 surgery for an acoustic-neuroma (the 2nd) you may have seen him riding his 10-speed in the vicinity of Foreman; sometime's making RT's to Horatio, Tom, or even Ashdown. They're pleased to be compared to Aquila and Priscilla of Acts 18:26. As the church grew they have been able to travel more frequently, as the Lord leads.
Church secretary Joyce Green tries to keep up with the Smith's when they're traveling, and can likely advise you concerning the schedule; though sometimes visiting speakers come on very short notice.
He came "that we might have life, and that more abundantly Jn10:10. The Smith's are happy to confirm a blessed and abundant life, and are looking forward eagerly to His soon coming again. In the meantime, let's 'occupy' and get out the Word! Let's get the ball rolling! Amen.

The Scripture verses used herein are from the King James Version (KJV) and when emphasis is given to a particular word or phrase, it expresses my own opinion. We understand that the oldest copies of scripture had no such punctuation, and I'm personally aware that other words might well be emphasized when considering a different context.People who sincerely and honestly question the authenticity of the Scripture should expect to find answers here -- surprising and exciting answers which I pray will help them to take a firm stand for the Truth which is the Word of God. Not just what others say about it, but what it says and how it says it, for itself!
A MIDI tune will play on most of these pages, usually thanks to Herbert Harari. Keep your volume control handy, please, and I hope you like my music preferences. Don't be bashful about using the mouseover feature--I've tried to make it interesting and not too stuffy...Copyright © 2006 Prince of Peace Ministries, Inc. At the left is the modern nuclear carrier USS George Washington CVN-73. It's a far cry from the days in VX-1 at the Seaplane Base in Key West when we flew off the deck of an LST in the Piasecki banana choppers that had no skin -- we called 'em Plumbers Nightmare's.
Iceberg - Awesome Photo?
This came from a Rig Manager for Global Marine Drilling in St. Johns, Newfoundland. They actually have to divert the path of these things away from the rig by towing them with ships! Anyway, in this particular case the water was calm & the sun was almost directly overhead so that the diver was able to get into the water and click this pic. (So said the flier...)
Ooops! 8/30/02. Just learned this iceberg photo is a hoax! I've been had! But fun while it lasted. Click here for other notorious hoaxes, with sometimes gross details: UrbanLegends.com

Update: Oct 2011 -- We left Foreman for David Graham's wedding in Georgetown TX (near Austin) the last Sunday in July -- to Becca. Wonderful wedding!
Then we returned with Gus/Karen to Dallas. Maroline and I drove to Ruidoso (sharing the driving..). Gus/Karen joined us a week later and spent that week on building the flooring and inside walls of the new cabin (tree falling had ruined our storage shed). Maroline and I stayed on till September when the weather cooled -- then we drove to Tucson, near where Millicent was.. In October, Maroline was having chest pains (phoned her brother Bill), and Milly drove us to Phoenix (Sam/Colleen's great new location by the Golf Course Ahwatukee) -- O P E N H E A R T SURGERY! (triple bypass) on 10/17/11 by Dr. Polansky at Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa AZ. About 4 hrs.. ouch They let her come home on the 23rd and she did fine for two days, but then the medications began affecting her... Colleen phoned 911, and the Phoenix Fire Dept. responded with 4-guys (handsome, she called them) in a beautiful fire truck that brought out all the neighbors. Very professional, with complete med equip, who discovered her blood-sugar level was 20, and immediately gave her an I.V. -- seemed she recovered quickly then, and it was decided the calamity was over and she needn't go to the hospital... However, later that day her sugar level hadn't steadied, and Colleen and Milly were already exhausted after the days following the surgery, so the Fire Truck Four were called again and this time the ambulance came and took her to the closest hospital -- Desert Banner -- who kept her till (10/29/11). The diabetic medication(s) seemed responsible for the low blood-sugar condition. Sam drove the girls to the hospital yesterday to fetch her, while I waited anxiously at home for my beloved... !! Now this Sunday 10/30, she's doing well and looking forward to complete recovery. Update 11/12/11 -- Staying in Phoenix with Sam/Colleen while Maroline's surgery is healing. Milly has returned to Tucson, and Luke making plans to fly here when we need a chauffer. Thanks ALL for your prayers! /s/ Bob
