Amazing and exciting commentary about a variety of Scriptural themes. Get prepared to discover an overwhelming figurative logic to Biblical Truth.  Be weaned from the Father's Milk and begin chewing on the Meat of His Word!

The Bible speaks of Hidden Manna (Rev2:17) and Hidden Leaven (Matt13:33) and the Hidden Man of the Heart (1Pet3:4), so it shouldn't come as a big surprise to discover Godly Cryptic Truth hidden within the pages; comparable to gold hidden in the earth.

"If you love me, feed my sheep", Jesus said in John 21:17.
Don't go looking for a literal haystack -- Jesus is speaking figuratively about feeding the Word of God, the Good News which begins with the milk of the Word and progresses to the meat of the Word. 1Cor3:2
"Go ye, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things...  John6:63

"Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me... Ps23:6

God breathed into Adam, and Adam became a Living Soul. Gen2:7
Jesus breathed on his disciples, John20:22, and they became life giving spirits. Rom8:10.
Different ages--different stages. Now the "God-breathed" word, 2Tim3:16, is available for any 'whosoever' to receive by reading it for himself! The word INSPIRATION is from the Greek theo-pneustos "God-breathed".

"Remember what you've read? Or seen in a mirror?

King Solomon, in the Old Testament, had 700 wives and 300 concubines! Its human nature IMO to criticize him and poke fun at his wisdom.
Solomon was that OT 'Son of David', but the New Testament 'Son of David' is Jesus Christ, our spiritual Bridegroom! The thousand women of Solomon were a precept of the many brides of Christ betrothed to Him today!
Solomon's other name was 'Jedidiah', meaning "Beloved of God", the same as Theophilus in the Greek. Used in the intro to Luke and Acts; just those two times, illustrating how WE are beloved too!

If we had the ability to go back in time to Calvary we could have seen Jesus in excruciating pain on the cross and later, like the Apostles, seen the scars on his hands and side after the resurrection. The Truth recorded in the Bible really did happen like it says...BUT, despite the same old rhetoric given out by seminaries, major News anchors and the like, an added and deeper meaning is available through meditation and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

God KNOWS about the process of sowing and reaping and he wants to have children (sons & daughters) -- so he planted one! In fact, he planted him twice; in the womb and in the tomb, because "by two" it's established...

Know you not that Jesus is the Word of God, the Vine, the Door, the Resurrection, and also the Incorruptible Seed?

The very first thing God said, on Day One, was "Let there be light", but the two great lights (sun/moon) didn't come along until the 4th day.
When Jesus identified himself as the 'light of the world', and that 'he and his Father were one' (John 8:12, 10:30), we could finally see the comparison between the Genesis lights and the spiritual light of the New Testament.

Both Peter and Moses wrote about how a thousand years are as one day, so when Adam didn't die until he was 930 yrs. old, we could finally understand that it was still 'Day One'-- even Methuselah didn't live beyond a thousand years!

Noah's Ark is not a pseudo mythical account, but introduces the concept of SALVATION from drowning in the Sea of Life.

The story of Rachel and Leah is much more than curious -- Rachel represents the Jews and the Old Covenant, while Leah represents the Gentiles and the New Covenant. Rachel (her name means "ewe") is barren at first, but figuratively is the one who births the Lamb of God, Jesus!

It's a paradox because the pedigree of Jesus actually comes through Judah, the 4th son of Leah.

Rachel sat on the sidelines while the first ten sons of Jacob were born, and then, finally, gave birth to Joseph, a type of Jesus. Later, she died giving birth to Benjamin, another type of Jesus because his name means 'son of the right hand'. Gen35:18.

WHY must we be "born-again"? Under the Old Covenant they had to be born a King (son of a king), or born a Priest (Levitical line), and they couldn't be both. Now we can be kings AND priests, Rev5:10, when we're born-again of the Incorruptible Seed, 1Pet1:23.

The Bible refers to people as "seeds" (also as clay, branches, sheep, etc.) and Jesus is the greatest seed. As "seeds", we can be planted but will come up in the resurrection. The seed of the man (sperm) and the seed of the woman (egg) produce the infant, but the spiritual seed of God(Jesus) brings new birth and eternal life!

Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH, the LIFE -- but what does that mean? How can he be the "Life"? Is that why Moses said "Choose Life"? So we'll choose Jesus? We understand Him saying "This is the WAY, walk ye in it", and "Thy Word is TRUTH".
Not so simple to define is how Genesis is the infancy period of mankind, and the Old-Covenant is the children stage, but that stage was finished on the Cross of Calvary and now we're in the adult stage. Paul wrote: "Henceforth be ye no more children.." Eph4:14.

Jesus was born of a virgin! Absolutely! When Mary said "Be it unto me according to thy Word", that's when Christ began to be formed in her -- she's our EXAMPLE just as Jesus was! Your first birth was "of man", of the flesh, but the new birth is spiritual -- male and female alike becoming pregnant by the Word of God!

A miraculous birth/resurrection concept was introduced by Elijah & Elisha in the Old Testament, and King Hezekiah's statement: "The Children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth". 2K19:3

The name "Adam" means 'blood of God' and Jesus is the second Adam, whose precious blood was spilled at Calvary so we'd have a "blood covenant" like Moses showed us in Ex24:8.

Jesus quoted from Isaiah 61 when he read about the Spirit of the Lord being on him, and proclaiming the "acceptable year of the Lord", Lk4:19, but he stopped short of saying "the day of vengeance".   This thought provoking example establishes the Bible's principle of sandwiching centuries of time between phrases of the same paragraph.

The Bible is "Living Water" as well as the Bread of Life, for those who 'hunger & thirst' for righteousness.

What's all this about water?

Abraham goes around digging wells, and his son Isaac has to re-dig them after those pesky Philistines cover them up. Moses strikes the rock in order to get water for his thirsty bunch, and then in the psalms we learn how God is a rock. "Spring up, O Well" indeed!   The writing of Scripture is being portrayed as Living Water!

"They have forsaken me, [GOD] the fountain of living water, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water".Jer2:13.

"I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint.." Psalm 22:14

"The words of a man's mouth are deep waters; the wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook", Prov18:4, and "That [Christ] might cleanse and sanctify [the church] with the washing of water by the Word". Eph5:26.

Learn how the conflicting "Two Genealogies for Jesus", in the gospels of Matthew-1 and Luke-3, have served to hide the amazing truth of the sixty-six generations between Adam and Jesus.

David was the 33rd generation and "a man after God's own heart". His reign was in 1,000 BC, smack in the middle of the Old Covenant, and he furnished the materials for his son Solomon to build "The House" of the LORD. "Whose house are we!" Heb3:6

Just hope you're comfortable in your "house" and don't forget to put your Upper-Room in order.

God told Moses to take off his shoes, because HE knew that Ephesians chapter six would be telling us to have our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace. God wants to give us new shoes! Spiritual shoes for our spiritual walk!!
First, let Jesus, the Word, wash your feet!

Walk like Enoch walked by putting on these new shoes -- don't go barefoot like Isaiah who wasn't privileged to live in the era after the Gospel was published.

God said "Let us go down and confound their language". So who is "Us"? Consider how the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit came down in succession; one after the other. Jesus said the Holy Spirit wouldn't come unless he (Jesus) left.

"And it shall be, that the first-born which she beareth shall SUCCEED in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel". Deut25:6.

Our brother, Jesus, has succeeded with the Name above every name. Phil 2:9.

When you read Genesis you conclude that the order of generations is from Abraham to Isaac to Jacob to Joseph: but no, that Joseph was NOT in the line of Christ, and neither is the Joseph who was husband to Mary. The name Joseph means "the LORD will add a son"!

His coat-of-many-colors was a precept of how Jesus came in a "body prepared", in a garment (vesture) dipped in blood, as a saviour to all races and colors of mankind. As Jacob wore the Esau disguise, so Jesus came looking like mankind.

When you read Genesis you wonder why Joseph framed his kid brother by planting his personal cup in Benjamin's sack. The logic isn't recognized until we know the name 'Benjamin' means "Son of the Right Hand". which Jesus becomes and declares "the cup which my Father has given me, shall I not drink it?" (John 18:11).

The Genesis story was about a literal physical cup, but the cup Jesus spoke of was figurative!

We are the horses, but who has your reins?
"As in Adam all die; even so in Christ shall all be made alive", 1Cor15:22. It's the fig. of speech "synecdoche" wherein a part is put for the whole. When Moses sang joyfully about the horse and rider going into the sea, realize God's not opposed to horses. He wants us to take the bit in our mouth and follow Him, rather than giving our reins to Satan and be bound for the Lake of Fire!

Eve was deceived -- how about YOU? She apparently had no choice other than to believe what Adam told her,and he was rebellious. Hosea6:7.   Now we have the Book to hold in our hot little hands and examine for ourselves -- we don't have to accept what people say about it!   Consider the possibility that God INTENDED for Eve to eat (knowing she'd "taste and see that the Lord is good" and be obedient).
These were PRECEPTS -- written for our learning. Then, as the story goes, it takes two to tango, so off they went together, to begin the human race.

"A fool has no delight in understanding, but only in expressing his own opinion." Prov18:2

Luke's gospel, 22:31, records how Jesus told Peter that Satan desired to "sift him as wheat". Dry flour might be blown around by "every wind of doctrine", Eph4:14, but once you pour on the Holy Spirit you become a new lump. "Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump.." 1Cor5:7. In other words, get rid of the sin and hypocrisy and be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and then begin eating the true bread of life. The Bread for the Head that we eat with our ears!

He'll turn your spiritual water into New Wine!
The Bible just DARES you to believe it! The natural man scoffs at the story of how Jesus turned the water into wine, or how Moses turned the water to blood, and even how Joseph turned the corn into bread. This miracle of Jesus is the first one he does for every believer who becomes filled with the Living Water and desires the Spiritual Gifts, and asks for the Holy Ghost baptism with the first evidence of speaking in other tongues.

"Whatsoever he says to you, do" -- that's what Pharaoh said to those who wanted bread, and that's what Jesus' mother said when they wanted wine. John2:5, Gen41:55.

Did Lamech kill middle-aged Enoch?

Lamech was 7th from Adam in the line of Cain, and Enoch (the preacher) "walked with God" and was 7th from Adam in the line of Seth. Because Lamech made the analogy between Cain who killed "righteous Abel" and himself who killed the "young man"; it seems the Great Ghostwriter is establishing a Genesis precedent for the righteous going to heaven. Gen4:24,5:24, Matt23:35, Jude 14

Everyone knows [don't they?] how Jesus claims to be the TRUE BREAD, and some are aware how the church is called one body and one bread. Under the Old Covenant they were admonished to rid themselves of leaven (they were the flat bread that didn't rise), but now in the New Covenant it becomes a must to have the new leaven in order to Rise and meet the Lord in the air. "Christ in you, the hope of glory" is that New Leaven!

He fed the 5,000 men, plus women and children, with five loaves and two fishes -- and afterwards they took up twelve (12) baskets of fragments!

Then he took seven loaves and a few fishes, Matt 15:34, and fed 4,000 men, plus women and children -- and afterward collected seven (7) baskets of fragments!

Imagine that! a kind of bread where the fragments are greater than what you started with; just as thousands upon thousands of books have been written ABOUT the Bible, and just as all those hundreds of people who heard Him speak are bound to have gone home and told their neighbors all about it. This is truly the kind of bread that multiplies!

Hidden leaven for spiritual "bread"

Matthew 13:33 "The kingdom of heaven is like unto LEAVEN which a woman hid in three (3) measures of dough, til the whole was leavened". Sour or fermented dough is known to permeate the entire loaf.

Conclusion? All mankind is a kind of "bread", and Jesus is the Word, the Living Bread, and also the "new leaven" which tells the story of the Deluge and the spiritual battle between good and evil and of the Resurrection and the eternal life -- and this is the story which has gone world-wide and developed (evolved) into multiple variations, but GOD knows the end from the beginning and HE watches over his WORD to perform it, and it will accomplish HIS purpose!
What kind of bread are you??   Sourdough?   Thin-sliced?

Matrimony comes from the Bible -- from the sixty-six (66) books of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. God is not only a heavenly FATHER, but He's a HUSBAND as well, and the New Testament plainly states that a woman whose husband dies may re-marry without being guilty of adultery. Since the Husband Emmanuel died on the Cross, the Jews/Hebrews have been free to covenant with Jesus!
This is a rare glimpse, I know, but the church isn't only the "one bread and one body" of 1Cor10:17, but is supposed to be the WIFE too! A spiritually FRUITFUL WIFE!

The Book of Revelation is often ridiculed because of its wild symbolism, and I find that a reasonable initial reaction, but we must remember how the Old Testament precepts were "for our learning", and consider how GOD could have made His Word so incredibly complicated that no mortal would ever make sense of it. At first, we note a comparison to the books of Daniel and Ezekiel, and then a study of the Old Testament dreams should lead to a beginning of understanding and interpretation.

We have an opponent! We're in a race, a fight, and aren't supposed to stand back and let evil run amuck. 'Live and let-live' is great to a point, but NOT when evil reigns! So the Bible advocates God-fearing Judges.

"Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goes about, seeking whom he may devour."   1Pet5:8.   Are you in the refuge?
It's a wrestling match, too! "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but...against spiritual wickedness in high places", Eph6:12. Against idol worship, filthy language, nasty behavior, and ignorance of the truth of God's Word.

Jacob wrestled the man (the angel) on the banks of the river and then received his new-name of Israel. Rachel wrestled her sister, Gen30:8, and afterwards became fruitful. When we wrestle with the Word of God, and prevail to understanding, we become disciples too. Nathanael believed on the basis of very little evidence, but some of us, like Thomas, are not so easily persuaded and have to see for ourselves.

Esau was the 'firstborn' and personifies the Old Man of the flesh, while Jacob personifies the New 'born-again' hidden man of the heart.

Having "a desire to depart and to be with Christ; which is FAR BETTER!" Phil 1:23. Don't think of it as losing the good fight of faith, because "we haven't been given a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind" 2Tim1:7. "We are confident and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord".   2Cor5:8.
Instead of griping about being benched or sent to the showers (oh,me) we should rejoice at having the opportunity to serve!
Christians shouldn't fear death, but rather look forward to their new life in heaven with Christ!   Let's Celebrate!

The seed principle is first seen in Genesis 1:11 and 1:12 -- "..the tree yielding fruit whose seed was in itself". We have to make the connection that Jesus is "the Word" and the Tree of Life and "the Seed" in order to arrive at the logic of how God the Father has sent his son and his "seed" to be our Saviour!

Did you say "I never heard it like this before" ??
Well then, maybe you ought to check it out in your own Bible!

What's so mysterious?

Bread for the Head Psalm 107:20

Good things to eat and not just from the store..
Word-eating people have a taste for much more!
It's not only the food for our belly and body,
Our mind must have also the mental hot toddy!

Words that are clever, Words that bemuse,
To give us directions, or tell us the News!
Words that enlighten, Words that inspire..
To ponder and wonder with mental perspire.

Words quite sublime, and even profound,
To start the gears turning and also astound!
Words most peculiar, Words that are sad..
That bore us or drive us infernally mad!

What did they THINK would happen, when they expelled the Bible? Increased Peace? More love and joy among men?
Words that are bitter, Words that are sweet,
Sometime's they even put wings on our feet!
We feed them to others; this food for the brain,
Proteins of thought to help run their train.
Scintillating, titillating, alphabet soup..
Expressions and phrases that we try to regroup.

We feed them to others--they feed them to us,
And sometimes it makes us so mad, we could cuss!
We don't like the taste, or the food "for the birds"..
And it's all so humiliating to eat our own Words!

In the logic of God THE WORD is THE TRUTH...
A kind of Bread for the Head
And after you're weaned from the Milk of The Word,
You'll need to start chewing instead..

The butter will come from churning the milk,
by mulling it over in thought,
We'll know you've swallowed the whale of a tale
When you say "Look here what God has wrought!"
