Changes

Why do I resist a change that might even be good?
Why do I try to stop the tide, as if I really could?
Perhaps, if I could see the road, that stretches out ahead
I'd see it's gonna be alright, there's nothing there to dread
But my eyes are blind, and I just can't know
What you're gonna find, and it scares me so!
How I hate to say goodbye and let you go!
We've been together for so long now, you're a part of me,
And though I know that you must grow, and I must set you free,
It's just because I love you so that this day brings me pain,
So please remember, when you go, you can return again,
And my eyes are blind, and I just can't know
What we're gonna find, and it scares me so!
How I hate to say goodbye and let you go!
But now I have to say good bye
And let you go....with love.
