Objective: 1000 guests and a 600 park ratingby the end of year 3.
1. When you first enter, do some housekeeping. About 75% of the park is filthy or has broken benches and lights. Add litter cans, or replace some of the broken benches with litter cans. There are an inordinate amount of benches in this scenario, and they are vandalized often, so replace some of them. Hire 3 handymen and airlift them to the filthiest spots. Your Park rating is 0, and it will take you at least to March to get it back above 600.
2. Add toilets and places to eat, in 2 or 3 strategic locations. spacing the shops at least 2 squares apart, if possible. Add Information Kiosks and raise the price of umbrellas to $4 or $5, it rains here a lot.
3. After your clean up campaign is completed, start building rides. This scenario cries for custom rides because of the uneven terrain and lack of funds required for pre-built rides.
4. Start your marketing campaign about 3 or 4 months into the scenario. Fix Ques, preferably when rides breakdown. You'll need at least 2 mechanics as time and money permit in the beginning. Lengthen the Entry Ques and connect them to main arteries, preferably leaving the Entrance at different levels from the exit ques, so there is no attempt to merge the two side by side. Otherwise, delete the exit Ques to the point where the entrance que departs from it, then rebuild after the entrance Que is completed.
5. Replace any broken stuff and keep the park clean. The single most influencing factor in maintaining high park rating is cleanliness. New rides are good for park value and attracting more people, but cleanliness and unbroken stuff are good for rating (must be 600 by year 3). Hire additional security to help keep vandalism down. This is really a nice park to work with once it's been cleaned up.
6. To eliminate tortuous walkways around the park, build tunnels, and clear up the above ground walkways. Complete the circuit around the park back to the entrance to maintain a steady flow. Dead ends are not good for business. Plus, you'll need additional walkways to accomodate 1000 people.
