Objective: 1500 guests and a 600 park ratingby the end of year 3.
1.This scenario is fairly easy to beat, if you can avoid building too fast because of the large amount of fairly flat space allowed.
2.Because of the vivid colors and exiting rail and monorail ride, you are tempted to outdo it with your own colorful and competetive ride. Don't! It sucks up your time and cause your beginning 800+ rating to plummet.
3.The 1st year, very little is needed to keep park rating above 800+. A couple of shops, some gentle rides, there is probably more than you need. Each addition bumps your 800+ upward, but let the rating start dropping before adding, in other words, build moderately. Leave your park rating window open most of the time. Don't get that "people are disgusted by your park" message. You'll need food and drink, probably at one end or the other and around the middle. An information Kiosk at same locations is desirable.
3a.Start your advertising campaign immediately, just for the park. Later, in year 2, offer everything for 6 weeks. Making money in this scenario is a snap, you'll probably end up with 25K to 30K extra, unless you've built too fast.
3b.Two mechanics, two handymen, and 1 security guard are all that are needed until your people count gets to be about 500+. Section off handymen, not the mechanics.
4.In the second year, hire another mechanic and add two sectioned handymen, however, here's the trick. About the middle of the second year, put invisible supports, rides and people on, and look for debris and puke. Sky hook a handyman or two in to clean up the worst areas. Leave one handyman window open to do this periodically.
4a. Adding a Security Guard or Entertainer probably isn't required, but it can't hurt.
5.Durring the second and rest of the avertising campaigns I added shops, and stalls when needed
5a. Add/repair some benches, lights, and wastepaper baskets over time that need attention if they are vandalized. Pick a normal lamp post for decor, the future ones look damaged to begin with, so are hard to differentiate, and space them out since they are a maintenance nightmare.
6.Here is the key to beating this scenario soundly. Repeat 5a until you're blue in the face. Each clean-up adds 10 to 20 points to your park rating, neglecting it will drop it 40 or 50 points rapidly, and if a downward trend is detected, you will lose. Never let park value get below 695 or so. Clean, fix, give away free stuff. You're basically a handyman by the end of this scenario, because you're constantly sky hooking handymen in to clean up, it's a big park, and you are punished for being untidy. When the people are thinking "this park is really tidy" your park value zooms up.
7.Use a Peak-meter approach and save often. Four or five progressively higher saves are not uncommon for this or any other scenario. A Peak meter is a device that measure electrical voltage's highest point, by not letting the needle drop below the highest level. You're not going to be able to do that, but you can save at a higher park rating whenever possible, as long as your population isn't dwindling.
8.After you beat the scenario, you can go back and relax a little and build to your heart's content. This scenario is a great trainer, although the terrain is rather bleak. Just avoid going nuts with all the scenario scenery objects and rides you inherit from the get-go.
