Objective: 650 guests and a 600 park ratingby the end of year 3.
.With no trees, this is an ideal scenario to build on. Don't build too quick however, since you must maintain that 600 rating. Stretch out your building until only when you need it to bring in more people. 650 is minimum, but to maintain 600 rating you'll need a lot more for the cash flow needed.
.Keep an eye on the Mine Roller Coaster you get with the scenario. It's priced high. You may want to drop the price to entice more patronage.
.Add new walkways. I tend to make the main arteries the same color as the default, and a different color for the exits. Add benches, lamps, and trash cans where needed, checking them often for vandalism.
.Add places to eat, drink, and go to the bathroom where needed, however no more than 3 locations is really needed. Try both ends and eventually 1 in the middle after you've built walkways from one end to the other on an alternate path.
.Eventually hire 3 or 4 handymen and 3 or 4 mechanics, 2 guards tops. Section off the handymen only. keep 1 handyman window open to parachute him in to trouble areas, which you find by periodically scanning the whole park looking for vandalism.
.Advertise the Park often. 6 weeks max at a time, and keep advertising until you have reached well over 650 (750-900) before slacking off. If necessary, towards the end of the scenario, offer free park, 1/2 park and advertise rides also. Ignore the messages that your park admission is too cheap. You can still raise it a dollar or two without affecting incoming people much.
.As more and more people come into the park, and your gentle rides starting breaking down often, just replace them, this will give you a small bump in ratings, and your ques are already set.
.Add rides like Go-Karts, non roller coaster rides, and other rollercoaster rides when they come out.
.Check evey so often to see stuff like benches, lamps and trash cans needto be replaced. See 5.
.As more rides get included into the park add some more handymen and mechanics to clean the park and fix the rides and section the handymen off for best use of those workers.
.When you get the Egyptian Theme, use it a little around the park. I mean, after all, it is a desert scenario. A Pyramid and a Sphinx really dresses it up. Add date palm trees liberally, but only you can afford it. This is aesthetic only, it won't budge your park value much.
.Advertise some of the rides in the park. See 6.
.Water rides seem to do good in the desert. Duh! Try building one partly underground and partly above ground. Use one of the hills, without trees, this is a great way to practice tunneling.
.Because of the long distances, a mini railroad would work good, starting near the entrance, and having a depot about where the existing rail ride is, and returning. That way you even out the people at both ends, allowing room for new ones coming in.
