Tarzan Series
It is clear that the Tarzan books were the author's mostpopular creations, being translated into foreign languages more frequentlythan his other works. There are twenty-six titles in the series, includingtwo which were written expressly for a juvenile market: The Tarzan Twinsand Tarzan and the Tarzan Twins with Jad-Bal-Ja, The Golden Lion. ThreeTarzan stories first published in pulp magazines ("Tarzan and the Champion,"Tarzan and the Jungle Murders and the Quest of Tarzan") were later publishedin both hardback and paperback editions as Tarzan and the Castaways Paperbackpublishers regularly issue the Tarzan books in a series of twenty-fourvolumes, omitting the two juvenile titles mentioned.
