Squirrel Training Tip for pups--I have squirrel feeders like the one in the picture all around my house and kennel. The first one I obtained as a present from Hal Hurst of Flippin, AR. Then I made a bunch more. You can not see it in the picture, but I have a guard above the feeder made of a heating duct (I am a heat and air technician and electrician). The squirrel has a lot of trouble going up the tree when the pup locates him at the feeder. He can go up, but it gives the pup time to see and smell him. Here a Rowdy pup about 6 months old is treeing a squirrel that was feeding at this tree. |
