 Squirrel Cage Tube Hung in Trees  Dogs Barking Below the Cage Tube |
I have a caged squirrel who lives in a long tube cage that I have hung in the trees. It is 24 foot long. It has a house at one end and feed at the other. It is about 8 feet off the ground at the house and 7 feet at the feeder. I have a gray squirrel in my cage tube now, but last summer I had this fox squirrel trapped. I blow air into the squirrel house and he will run out the dogs will chase as he runs the 24 feet of the tube and back to his house. I can blow into it and make him come out and go again. I even hold the pups up near the squirrel and let the get a sniff of him. By the time my pups are 6 months old, they know this is game. | |
