A friend of mine and I bought two pups and drove to Mo. to pick them up. I got Quinnie and he bought Spook. I named Quinnie after the spice Quince. She is a soft yellow color. She has a great disposition. I worked with her a lot as a pup. I think this really helps a dog when they mature. |
My friend is elderly and could not catch Spook and when she was two years old he asked if I wanted to buy her. I did. I liked both of the sisters, but decided to keep Spook and sell Quinnie. It was hard to sell one of these dogs. I loved them both!

David Taylor and Toya Asby bought Quinnie in November of 2003. Feb. 20, 2004, I received some new pictures of Quinnie and the following note from Toya: "Larry, thank you for a fantasic dog that has our hearts for sure. We killed 221 squirrels and left several in the trees. We could have killed more but just walked off when there were two in a tree. Quinnie may not be the best squirrel dog out there, but it would take a real good one to beat her. Thanks again, Larry and Betty."--Toya Ashby

On Galla Creek, when we have kept a dog for two years like Quinnie, they are hard for us to sell. We can only handle about 12 dogs and we can not keep them all. We are always so happy to hear that our dogs are doing well in their new homes. And even happier to hear that their new owners love and cherish their new friends and hunting partners!
