MACEDONIA CEMETERY Macedonia Cemetery was in desperate need of care. If something was not done soon, the cemetery was going to disappear forever. Help arrived in the form of the Minnow Creek 4-H club. 4-Hers, parents, and grandparents worked together to remove the cemetery from a shroud of overgrowth and to protect it from farm animals with a new barbed wire fence and gate.
BEFORE
If you are like PvtSparks and have ancestors buried in the Macedonia cemetery you will be interested to know that the fund drive to pay for a fence around the cemetery was successful. The Minnow Creek 4-H Club cleared the cemetery, completed a fence, and installed a gate to prevent grazing cattle from causing damage to the markers. It is up to the rest of us to pitch in and do our part in helping to maintain this cemetery. How about making a small contribution on your ancestors birthday? I know it is another expense but think about it. If your ancestor had not existed you would not be reading this right now.

PROGRESS FINISHED
Regular maintenance will be necessary or Macedonia Cemetery will return to its overgrown condition within a few years. Establishment of a non-profit cemetery association and a permanent maintenance fund will help ensure that Macedonia will not disappear into the landscape in the next generations.
