Jacob and Margaret Garrett JOHNSON were living in Surry Co., NC by 1783. They moved to Lawrence Co., MS abt. 1829 with their son-in-law and daughter, Aaron & Middia MATTHEWS. After the death of Aaron, c. 1836, Middia, her nine children, parents, and Jacob Johnson, Jr. moved to Johnson Co., arriving abt. 1837.
