Would you?

Would you take my hand
And press my fingers
Inside your warm, strong grasp
And let me feel your strength?
And let me lean upon your shoulder
If I should weep?

And would you take my face
In your cupped hands
And gaze into my heart
With understanding and concern
For my sorrow?

Would you kiss away the tears
I shed from loneliness
And would you, with your loving hands
And body, help me to forget?

And would you give me hope, if only faint,
That love could still be mine?
And would you make love to me all night long
As if you really care?

And in the harsh light of the morning,
After all be said and done,
Would you linger, and not hurry from my bed
And not be too anxious to be gone?

And would you come to me again sometime soon
In order to make another memory
And would you open up your heart to me
And take a chance on love?

And is it possible that you even exist?
