Emotions Sadness Like a band around my heart When I think of you Knowing that you'll never know That you'll never understand Me Sorrow Washes over me in waves When I try to find those words That elude me every time And I cannot make you see Me Anger At this clumsy, bumbling fool Who just sits here in confusion Never makes a move, no sound Only watches pathetically from inside Me Fear Of rejection, fear of pain If you simply turn and walk away In disgust--or are simply too polite And sit quietly and listen--as My heart is opened, then ripped from Me Pain Knowing that you'll never know What my heart can only feel What my lips can never say That my arms cannot embrace And that you will never love Me .
