I Don't Know Why

I don't know why the sky is blue
(the science of it all eludes me)
Or why the wind blowing through trees
The mighty ocean's roar
Or children's happy laughter
Sound just like music
Some things are unfathomably complex
The answers are hidden from mortals
Those who see through the glass darkly
Feel only with their senses
And are trapped in this reality
Of time/space/matter
I don't know why we bother with love
The idea is somewhat silly...
And yet, love is wonderful
Love has its own purpose
Love brings the heart
To a new paradigm
I don't believe we meet by chance
Though how we meet makes no "sense"
Time and space converge
The moment arrives
And my life is changed
Irrevocably and forever
I've decided to accept all things
To most humbly acknowledge...
That my life is a gift
That all love is wonderful
That I do not have to understand
In order to love you...
Or to be loved by you
