Poetry is a part of my life that I feel defines me. I am a woman, a mother, a wife, a citizen, a teacher, human being, and a poet. All of these things define me, and help make me who I am.
I don't just like writing poetry, I love it! I have poetry in my head, and sometimes I must write it down or burst. And when something important in my life happens I am compelled to write.
